What's going on, everybody? Thanks for tuning in to another
00:00:17
episode of the California Underground, Your host, Phil.
00:00:20
And as you can see, we are surrounded by a whole bunch of
00:00:23
people. This is the largest roundtable
00:00:26
discussion we've ever had on the California Underground.
00:00:29
Very excited. Some new friends, some old
00:00:32
friends joining us and the topic of today is no on Prop 50.
00:00:38
We're all discussing no on Prop 50.
00:00:41
We don't have to give you the background.
00:00:42
I'm sure you all heard about Prop 50.
00:00:44
You want to go back and listen to any of our episodes about
00:00:46
Prop 50? Let's get started.
00:00:50
I mean, let's hop right into it. If you're in the chat, you're
00:00:53
live and you have any questions for any of our speakers, please
00:00:58
shoot them. I'll make do my best to make
00:01:00
sure we get those questions out. But with that, I guess we'll go
00:01:04
around the horn and start in alphabetical order order.
00:01:07
So, April, why don't you introduce yourself first?
00:01:11
I'm April Silverman, a mom of two boys in Los Angeles, and I
00:01:17
live in Mayor Karen Bassett neighborhood.
00:01:20
And yeah, it's a little, it's a little rough out here.
00:01:24
And I started to get into politics as of last year because
00:01:29
we started to get a lot of homeless in our neighborhood.
00:01:31
And I fought back against that. And I they call me the homeless
00:01:36
vigilante. And basically I got 10 votes
00:01:41
for down the ballot conservatives last November
00:01:44
election. And I haven't stopped every day.
00:01:47
I just, you know, look for things to do and to try to make
00:01:50
California better. Great Kylie.
00:01:54
Awesome. Hey guys, I'm Kyle Campbell.
00:01:56
I host this show that you can see a little part of Politically
00:02:00
Basic had Phil on the show for. I think that was season 1.
00:02:05
That was pretty awesome. I'm about to launch season 4, so
00:02:09
rocking and rolling. I've spent 20 years on the
00:02:12
campaign side of politics in media and messaging for
00:02:16
campaigns and essentially helping people navigate media
00:02:20
when they're running for political office.
00:02:22
So love politics, love talking about every single issue under
00:02:26
the sun that is political. Born and raised Californian and
00:02:31
focus and specialize in a lot of issues having to do with
00:02:35
combating human trafficking, all forms of human trafficking,
00:02:38
homelessness, vulnerable kids and youth and just anybody who's
00:02:43
being exploited or treated badly.
00:02:45
That pushes my Mama bear button and we're sure having a whole
00:02:49
lot of that in the state of California.
00:02:50
So probably know way too much about Prop 50 and excited to be
00:02:54
on with you guys today. So thanks for having me on.
00:02:57
Yeah, I'm Zach. Bring it on home.
00:03:00
Right. Well, it's a pleasure to be with
00:03:02
you all here. Phil, April, Kyle, Camille.
00:03:06
My name is Zach Giannino. I am the current vice president
00:03:09
of the San Diego Young Republicans.
00:03:11
And as you can tell, this is a very important issue, not just
00:03:15
for all of us Californians here, but for the youth specifically.
00:03:19
And I think that's one of my big driving points is that this
00:03:23
isn't just going to affect you tomorrow.
00:03:25
This is going to affect us years from now.
00:03:27
And I think people should see sort of the ramifications.
00:03:30
So I'm excited to have this conversation.
00:03:32
There's so much to talk about. And yeah.
00:03:35
Awesome. Great.
00:03:36
And everyone knows Camille, of course.
00:03:41
Let's just like just dive right into it.
00:03:43
Obviously the title of this episode is No On Prop 50, we
00:03:48
don't usually take a stance. We're not endorsing anything.
00:03:51
That's always been our policy. We're not endorsing.
00:03:53
We're saying like you have to do this, but we are of like mind
00:03:57
that Prop 50 is a horrible proposition.
00:04:00
So I was like, why don't we all get together and have this big
00:04:02
round table discussion and get some other viewpoints because
00:04:06
you probably heard me and Camille going over it enough.
00:04:08
So we want to get some more people and some more fresh
00:04:10
voices in here. So I'm going to open it up to
00:04:14
the the panel and be and just say like, why don't you tell us
00:04:18
a little bit about your concerns about Prop 50?
00:04:22
Why? Why do you why are you concerned
00:04:25
about this? Is it just a power grab?
00:04:27
Is it sort of echoing into future generations of of power
00:04:31
grabs? I know all of you have a lot to
00:04:34
say about it. So whoever wants to go 1st jump
00:04:37
in, don't be shy. We could do it alphabetical
00:04:41
again. How about we do it, Kyle?
00:04:45
Well, I'm just going to pick you first.
00:04:46
That's a great choice, Phil. I do have a lot to say.
00:04:51
I'm glad we're not digging into the background of how this came
00:04:54
about. But I do think that it informs
00:04:56
us in what's going on in the state this go around this cycle,
00:05:01
because what we're seeing happen in the state of California, I
00:05:04
think is more concerning than ever.
00:05:06
And Prop 50 is a great example of this.
00:05:08
Obviously, we have had a lot of issues in this state with
00:05:12
California super majority kind of going rogue and not listening
00:05:15
to the people making decisions without listening to the voice
00:05:21
of the voters. And I think that Prop 50 is just
00:05:24
a horrific but a very excellent example of what's happening.
00:05:28
It's so ironic that there are all these No Kings protests over
00:05:32
the last weekend all up and down the state of California while we
00:05:35
are dealing with leadership that wants to act like a king and
00:05:39
take total control and dictate things for for the people of
00:05:43
this state. You know, we've got 39 million
00:05:45
people. And the truth of the matter here
00:05:49
is that Prop 50 shouldn't even be on the ballot as it's
00:05:52
written. It is hijacking the the entire
00:05:56
process. It's unconstitutional per our US
00:06:01
Constitution, but also the state constitution.
00:06:03
It's legally indefensible. But none of that seems to
00:06:06
matter. And of course, our state Supreme
00:06:09
Court right is just chock full of of Democrat voices.
00:06:13
They're not going to even hear any argument against this, that
00:06:17
it's unconstitutional. And I believe Steve Hilton, who
00:06:20
you guys know very well is running for for governor next
00:06:24
year. It great, tremendous patriot who
00:06:26
loves this state. He has challenged Prop 50 and
00:06:29
they've decided to put it on the docket and listen to it the day
00:06:32
after the election. So we're just seeing nonsense
00:06:36
after nonsense about this and a lot of people speaking up
00:06:39
saying, you know what, I don't feel like my vote is going to
00:06:41
matter. I think they're going to have it
00:06:44
go certain way no matter what we do.
00:06:46
And I'm just sensing so much, you know, just hopelessness and
00:06:50
helplessness amongst the voters. I'm glad we're having this
00:06:53
discussion today. I think probably one of the most
00:06:56
important things that we can do is advocate, explain why we are
00:07:01
taking a position when a lot of us, myself included, like to
00:07:03
stay neutral on these things. But why it's so critical that we
00:07:07
do have to get the vote out because these ballot returns
00:07:10
have been so low. And I just think people are
00:07:11
throwing their hands up and they're exhausted.
00:07:14
I know we all are. You know, it is exhausting being
00:07:16
a Californian and dealing with this crap day after day.
00:07:19
But this one's so critical and it really has to do a lot with
00:07:23
the future of how our state is run politically going forward.
00:07:26
So get out there, team. We, we need you.
00:07:28
We need you to fill that ballot out.
00:07:29
It's the only thing on the ballot.
00:07:31
It's just you can do it, fill in one bubble, get it in the mail
00:07:35
and we've got to make this thing what I call too big to Gavin
00:07:39
Rig. April jumped to you.
00:07:43
It's weird, by the way. It's weird because like we, we
00:07:45
are like connected on social media.
00:07:47
So sometimes you see, like, people's usernames all the time.
00:07:50
So then like you say April and you're like April Calliman.
00:07:53
OK, Yeah. Not that Barbie.
00:07:56
It's kind of like when you figure out Batman is Bruce Wayne
00:07:58
and you're like, oh, now I got to call you by your real name.
00:08:00
But anyway, April, why are you no on Prop 50?
00:08:06
I liked, I honestly, I'm very happy to see Arnold
00:08:09
Schwarzenegger throwing himself out there and going on Bill
00:08:12
Maher and just speaking about this.
00:08:15
Like he could be busy retired, you know, just at home resting
00:08:19
and relaxing. And he's, he finds it's so
00:08:21
important to talk about this right now.
00:08:24
And he's saying it's like a huge scam because they're saying
00:08:27
you're going after Donald Trump and it's a threat to democracy
00:08:31
and all that. But you guys were like tearing
00:08:33
up the Constitution from California.
00:08:36
Like it's totally unconstitutional.
00:08:38
Like 5.7 million people voted to make this independent Commission
00:08:42
and we're just literally taking the the power away from the
00:08:45
people and giving it back to the Sacramento politicians like they
00:08:48
do. They run everything in our life.
00:08:50
So they're the real kings, You know, we just have to fight
00:08:53
back. And it's one, it's just one
00:08:55
question, but Democrats are never lazy to vote.
00:08:59
And I feel constantly having to beg people to do it.
00:09:03
And I'm literally spoon feeding people and doing all the hard
00:09:07
work and ballot harvesting and everything legal ballot
00:09:11
harvesting, because that's the California way.
00:09:13
But Democrats always show up, you know, And it's, I feel like
00:09:16
it's our people. We get a little bit complacent.
00:09:18
Zach. Yeah.
00:09:20
So, Phil, when I first heard this proposition, when it was
00:09:24
being discussed, I thought it was a joke.
00:09:27
First I thought it was a joke. And then I had to remind myself
00:09:30
about my California leadership. And then I had to say, wait a
00:09:33
minute, they may be serious about this.
00:09:36
And I, I kid you not to see it make it as far as it has to
00:09:40
where it is now literally on our ballot.
00:09:42
To me still is something I, I, I just like already stated, it's
00:09:47
it's abhorrent policy making it, it's a slippery slope.
00:09:50
It opens the floodgates. It's petty politics.
00:09:53
It's Gavin Newsom launching his presidential campaign and
00:09:58
sacrificing the state of California to do so.
00:10:02
One thing that I think has been really impactful is not a lot of
00:10:05
people know they maybe right now know what they want to vote yes
00:10:08
or no, but a lot of the yeses don't exactly know why.
00:10:12
And what I have found is when I say, well, I'm opposed to it.
00:10:16
I'm not just opposed to it because I'm Republican.
00:10:18
I can list you a laundry list of legitimate articulated reasons.
00:10:23
And I think online I've been posting a lot about I oppose
00:10:26
this because and listing stuff and talking about it and letting
00:10:29
people know where I'm coming from because it's not just, oh,
00:10:32
I oppose it because it's Republican and Democrats, like,
00:10:35
no, this is bad for Democrats too.
00:10:37
Because, you know, and again, I play the thought experiments.
00:10:41
I say, hey, 20 years from now, let's say this sticks and this
00:10:44
stays. And, and it's Republicans now in
00:10:46
charge over Democrats here in California, like trying to play
00:10:50
the perspective game with them. And I think it when you have
00:10:54
conversations with people that actually want to understand this
00:10:57
proposition, more times than not, from my experience, their
00:11:01
eyes blow up because they realize this is just bad policy.
00:11:04
Forget Democrat, this is just bad policy making.
00:11:08
So there's there's definitely something to communicating why.
00:11:14
And, and because I've, I've said why multiple times online, I'm
00:11:18
even having local Democrats reaching out to me and asking
00:11:21
why privately. Of course they wouldn't want to
00:11:23
post, you know, online that they're asking me these
00:11:25
questions. But you can just tell there's
00:11:28
not a lot of education on the issue.
00:11:30
And I think that's by design. And I think we have to do that,
00:11:34
that second piece of like educating why this is horrendous
00:11:37
policies, policy making proposition.
00:11:40
So yeah. Well, of course Democrats want
00:11:44
this, right, because they are significantly in the majority in
00:11:48
this state and they cannot, they cannot participate in that
00:11:51
thought exercise, right, Zach? They can't say, well, what if
00:11:54
this were flipped and what if we had, you know, 40% of Democrats
00:11:58
looking at potentially only having about 8% representation
00:12:01
in the state? Of course they would hate that.
00:12:03
They would never want that and they would never vote for it.
00:12:05
But that's not the point. The point of this in in shoving
00:12:08
this down California voters throats and blowing past the
00:12:12
Constitution and not having it correct on the the prop correct
00:12:16
or the district correct. And now we're throwing more
00:12:19
millions and more dollars towards it.
00:12:21
They're going to ram it through. So it never has the opportunity
00:12:24
to be flipped, right. The temporary will never be
00:12:27
temporary. There will never be an
00:12:29
independent redistricting Commission put back in.
00:12:31
And this is really the point. And it's so interesting to look
00:12:34
back and compare this to what was happening during the last
00:12:37
presidential election when when the Democrat Party thought we
00:12:42
better ram our candidate through at all costs because we don't
00:12:47
want anyone to find out what we've done.
00:12:49
Look at all the things that, you know, Newsom and crew have tried
00:12:51
to hide that they have done, and then they're passing regulations
00:12:55
to to continue to cover for themselves.
00:12:58
And now look at everyone being busted and prosecuted and being
00:13:01
referred for prosecution who did the very exact thing during the
00:13:05
Biden administration and thought they were covered and they
00:13:08
weren't. So I see a lot of parallels
00:13:10
happening there. And I think it's important that
00:13:12
the voters understand that their plan is to not have this be
00:13:15
temporary at all. The the plan is to to make our
00:13:19
state so powerfully deep blue, so entrenched in this kind of,
00:13:24
you know, illegal and unconstitutional way of
00:13:27
leadership that nobody can ever turn it around again.
00:13:31
And I see that happening in so many different ways.
00:13:33
And it's, it's really scary. So I think understanding the
00:13:36
urgency and the importance of this vote is really, really
00:13:39
critical. Yeah, and just for ground rules,
00:13:45
this is a free open round to you don't have to wait for me to ask
00:13:47
questions. So if anybody wants to jump in
00:13:49
and respond to anything, don't wait for me to ask a question.
00:13:53
But I was on, I'll bring this up.
00:13:55
I was on a podcast this past weekend and one thing I had
00:13:59
brought up is I I think that like Prop 50 for Democrats in
00:14:06
California is a reaction to how red California went in 2024.
00:14:13
I honestly think they were like, that Scared the crap out of
00:14:18
them. Yeah.
00:14:19
I mean, you had Gavin Newsom going out to the Central Valley,
00:14:22
you know, begging people, like, why did you vote for Trump?
00:14:25
I don't get it. I don't understand.
00:14:27
And then now they see it as an opportunity to be like, oh, we
00:14:31
can redraw the map to keep it blue for a little bit longer and
00:14:37
kind of push off this red wave that's happening in California.
00:14:41
I think that's connected. I don't think that's a
00:14:43
conspiracy theory to think like, they saw how red California went
00:14:46
and they were like, oh, this is a good opportunity to turn it
00:14:49
back more blue. I'll just throw that out there
00:14:53
if anybody wants to comment on that.
00:14:54
Yeah. Well I had actually made a reel
00:14:57
that has gone viral. Weirdly enough, it all it is is
00:15:00
1 image and it's the master from Politico and it's a 2020 after
00:15:06
the election of 2020 map compared to 2024 after election.
00:15:11
And then I just put and it was, I really was being sarcastic,
00:15:15
but I was like, the real reason that Gavin Newsom wants to
00:15:17
redistrict you. Posted.
00:15:19
That that's you. I saw it everywhere I.
00:15:22
Was going to. Shake, I was going.
00:15:24
To share that oh. No.
00:15:27
Way yeah, that was me. And actually somebody shared it,
00:15:30
somebody big shared it on like just a screenshot on X and like
00:15:34
it got almost 1 views there.
00:15:35
But anyway, regardless, humble breath.
00:15:38
Yeah. So I guess it has really gone
00:15:40
viral. That's funny.
00:15:40
Yeah. So the maps are from Politico
00:15:42
because people have challenged me like you made these maps up.
00:15:44
OK. I never said the maps were
00:15:46
congressional. I want to point that out because
00:15:48
I understand that that was not a Congressional District map, but
00:15:51
something that a lot of the comments I've gotten on that are
00:15:55
land doesn't vote, lol. The red areas are all land.
00:15:58
OK, then why are we redistricting them?
00:16:00
Why are you voting yes to redistrict this so-called land?
00:16:03
If nobody lives there, leave it alone, right?
00:16:06
And then don't worry, I have pages of notes and I'm not going
00:16:09
to say everything right now. But liberals historically, we're
00:16:13
all about like, oh, the, the, the underdog, we need to support
00:16:18
the unrepresented. We need to, you know, like the
00:16:21
minority. And in California, we
00:16:24
Republicans or even independents, we are the
00:16:26
minority. And they're like 9 seats out of
00:16:30
52 is just way too many. So we would like to remove over
00:16:32
half of them. But.
00:16:35
Thank you for supporting the underdog.
00:16:37
Thank you. Like what?
00:16:39
Then it's just wild to me how they're literally like, you know
00:16:42
what? I know that we ate like 70.
00:16:45
I don't know the math right now, but like 70% of the pie.
00:16:48
But, you know, we don't want to share the 30% with you or it's
00:16:52
not even that much. It's just like here, you're 17%.
00:16:55
We want to, you know, make sure that you only get 10%.
00:16:58
And then, you know, everyone's argument is it's just temporary.
00:17:00
Well, OK, that's stupid, but it's just temporary.
00:17:04
Yes, so was the IRS. So.
00:17:07
Well, somebody just crunched the numbers.
00:17:08
It's interesting you bring that up, Camille, and I'm so glad you
00:17:11
posted that because it's fascinating to look at the
00:17:14
California map after every election every two years from
00:17:18
like 1990 is really fascinating to watch it ebb and flow through
00:17:23
those colors. The revolution that we've had
00:17:26
here is really remarkable, but somebody just did the number
00:17:29
crunch on the disparity between voters in Texas and what their
00:17:35
Congressional District representation that the delta
00:17:38
between the two. And it's something like it's
00:17:41
like under 10%, something small, 5 or 6% difference.
00:17:45
And then they did it here in California as things stand now,
00:17:48
and it's like 22% now before we're we're going to go even
00:17:52
further. And so, yeah, it's outrageous.
00:17:55
It doesn't make sense any way you look at it.
00:17:58
And and so I think that that when you for certain people who
00:18:02
need to really understand the basis for this, I think that
00:18:06
helps. It's like this is the whole
00:18:07
point of redrawing or redistricting is to make it more
00:18:10
equitable by district and all of the districts should be as
00:18:14
similar as possible. And, and people who have that
00:18:18
mindset, that kind of woke DEI mindset, they don't like that.
00:18:22
They don't think that's diverse And, and that's what got Texas
00:18:26
in trouble in the 1st place was the Biden DOJ saying, Hey, you
00:18:28
got to put these like black and Hispanic districts together.
00:18:33
And, and you know, that went up the court chain and they're
00:18:35
like, actually that's pretty unconstitutional.
00:18:38
You can't do that. But it's so funny that like the,
00:18:41
the, what they're trying to say is actually a hallmark of our
00:18:45
Republic. While they scream and cry that
00:18:48
this is an attack against democracy.
00:18:51
They're so confused about the fundamentals of how our system
00:18:55
works and our Electoral College works and how it keeps things
00:18:58
fair. And so I just think they're
00:19:00
they're not very smart. I appreciate that you said it's
00:19:04
stupid because they're stupid and get back to basics,
00:19:08
understand the point and the purpose of all of this.
00:19:11
And, and all it really truly is, is a shameless, egregious,
00:19:16
blatant and transparent power grab.
00:19:19
And we we need to know that that background behind it so that we
00:19:23
can call it out. It's ridiculous.
00:19:26
Would say all you'd have to look at or just real real quick.
00:19:28
Just her last point, all you'd have to do it to look at is like
00:19:32
Camille posted, and that's kind of why I wrote it down, is if
00:19:35
you look at the maps and the trend in the direction and then
00:19:37
look at the proposals of the new maps, they're legitimately
00:19:42
trying to dilute the Republican strongholds by pulling in
00:19:48
Democrat strongholds into Republican majority districts or
00:19:52
as they currently stand, for instance, California 48, right?
00:19:56
They're trying to they're trying to grab Palm Springs into North
00:20:01
County San Diego as if like that's sort of like, you know,
00:20:05
makes any sense at all. But it again, it does when
00:20:08
you're a Democrat and you're looking to squeeze out all of
00:20:12
the remaining Republican congressional voices.
00:20:14
So I just think the the crazy truth of the matter is right in
00:20:18
front of us of what they're doing, the disingenuous nature
00:20:23
that it it, it's almost just so in your face to try and.
00:20:28
Distract from the fact that it's, yeah, it's it's
00:20:32
disingenuous, especially when you have Sarah Jacobs out here
00:20:35
campaigning for her boyfriend's proposed congressional map,
00:20:39
right? So the maps haven't even passed,
00:20:41
but she's out here campaigning for him, for this new district.
00:20:45
And it's just a mess because it's not about fairness at all.
00:20:47
It's about more Democrats in an already supermajority.
00:20:51
Yeah, they, I think they already had their people lined up too.
00:20:53
Like we've seen Richard Pan is now jumping into the race.
00:20:56
Oh, I cringe and then you know, they that's, I think he's
00:21:01
challenging Kevin Kiley's district and then I forget his
00:21:04
name. Phil, You might know who it is.
00:21:07
Well, all of you might know who it is.
00:21:08
Somebody, this is in the Assembly or is it this the
00:21:13
Senate, the state Senate, who is like stepping down from his role
00:21:16
earlier than planned and then all of a sudden.
00:21:18
It's like. Is that Yeah, I think that's who
00:21:21
it is. And then it's like, oh, he's
00:21:22
looking to run for Congress. Oh, funny how they they
00:21:26
literally have their little plants in place of he's going to
00:21:29
run in this new proposed district.
00:21:31
That mayor. Of course.
00:21:33
Like we passed. But yeah, they, it's like they
00:21:35
already had a whole, you know, that they've probably for months
00:21:39
been having private meetings and setting it up and like, OK,
00:21:42
we're ready to launch. Get ready.
00:21:43
We're going to, you know, we're going to put you all in place
00:21:45
and show those Republicans. Remember last year in the
00:21:52
election when they went crazy and they said Elon Musk bought
00:21:55
the election? They kept like, like they're the
00:21:58
ones who have the money at all times and like they have George
00:22:02
Soros putting money into this. They have Wilson, they put, they
00:22:05
have the Netflix guy. They have all this money going
00:22:08
in here. And I, I started to see before
00:22:11
even this started, like when you saw Gavin's like trying to like
00:22:15
soft launch his presidential run for like even before this whole
00:22:19
thing happened. And basically I can see the bots
00:22:23
on X, they're all coming out and they're saying the exact same
00:22:28
thing at the exact same millisecond from different
00:22:30
accounts for Gavin. And then on TikTok, which I'm
00:22:33
just learning because all the kids are on it and everyone said
00:22:36
I need to go on it too. So it's different than Instagram
00:22:41
and it's like more Instagram's more of like an echo chamber
00:22:43
kind of and so is XA little bit based on your politics.
00:22:47
And so with TikTok, I think it's it wants you to like have this
00:22:50
like engagement rage bait. So I post about no on prop 50 or
00:22:55
anything Trump related or anything.
00:22:57
And I'm getting like yes, on prop 50, yes, like non-stop and
00:23:00
the same comments. Now we know exactly based on
00:23:03
your post, we're going to do yes on prop 50.
00:23:05
Like they're paying for all these bots and all the this,
00:23:09
like this army of influencers or dancing and twerking for Gavin
00:23:13
Newsom for the past few months that just appeared from one day
00:23:16
to the next and nobody knows about it.
00:23:17
Nobody's talking about it. So it's just like really hard
00:23:21
because we have to push against this machine basically.
00:23:25
We can see the spreadsheet, the spreadsheet that just was
00:23:28
released of all the money that went into the No Kings protests
00:23:32
nationwide. I mean, it's just outrageous how
00:23:35
much money is going in. And you know that that's
00:23:37
happening with all of these other efforts.
00:23:39
I mean, the taxpayers are funding this assault on
00:23:42
ourselves, which makes it like insult to injury, right?
00:23:46
You know, it's so painful every day to to slog through living
00:23:51
here and write that check and pay those taxes, knowing that
00:23:54
it's it's going to counterproductive causes and
00:23:59
that's why we're losing so many people.
00:24:00
But the the flow of money politically is so screwed up in
00:24:05
this country. I mean, you can get around rules
00:24:08
so easily. Nobody's tracking it.
00:24:09
But but it's interesting times because lately, thanks to people
00:24:12
like Kevin Kiley or Bill Assailant or.
00:24:15
Are these people these? Warriors who are now, you know,
00:24:18
they're like superheroes for us. They're coming out.
00:24:20
They're exposing how this money has been spent and it is it's
00:24:25
just one in the line. This money that's gone into yes
00:24:28
on 50 is just one thing in a line of outrageous spending of
00:24:34
taxpayers, hard earned, hard worked for money that's been
00:24:38
taxed and cut and sliced right. We've got nothing left and here
00:24:41
it is going to to essentially manipulate the voter and trick
00:24:46
the voter. If you guys read your ballot
00:24:50
packet, what is it the the voter guide?
00:24:53
And I mean, most people probably throw it away.
00:24:56
I hope you don't. I mean, I actually don't care if
00:24:59
you throw it away. Truly just vote no.
00:25:01
But. It's online though.
00:25:04
Yeah, IA. Big old nerd with this stuff and
00:25:09
I wanted to read the language that they had around this
00:25:12
because I'm seeing the ads and I'm hearing the the messaging
00:25:15
that they're putting around this and being a media messaging
00:25:18
person for so long. I'm like, how are they going to
00:25:20
how are they going to finesse the wording and and motivate
00:25:23
people to vote yes on 50 to that that strips independence away
00:25:29
from voters and and takes control and they just flat out
00:25:34
say down is up. They do a 180.
00:25:38
They're, they're completely just flat out lying that we have lost
00:25:43
the guardrails that have managed how we operate in this space for
00:25:48
so many decades now. We know that of course
00:25:51
politicians are going to kind of work around the edges, right?
00:25:55
But this one is so blatant. And if you read what it says in
00:26:00
the in the voter guide, it's like, well, Texas did this and
00:26:03
Trump did that. And that means we can you're
00:26:07
talking about two completely different scenarios and and it
00:26:11
just makes absolutely no sense. And they're counting on the
00:26:14
people just simply listening to those those hot takes, easy to
00:26:19
grab on words like this. You know, this gives voters a
00:26:22
voice. This protects democracy.
00:26:25
And they think that voters are going to be so stupid and so
00:26:30
exhausted and not having time to do their homework or their
00:26:33
research on their own that they're just like, OK, yes, no,
00:26:37
don't do that. This.
00:26:39
It's just the blatant lying about what this prop is about
00:26:46
has actually truly shocked me and I thought that I did not
00:26:49
have any ability to be shocked left.
00:26:51
No, but didn't Kamala rename the the proposition that allowed
00:26:55
everyone to steal under $950? The Safe Neighborhoods Act?
00:27:00
So like actually. You're very creative.
00:27:03
You're. Creative.
00:27:04
Yeah, I feel this is a question. I didn't do my homework.
00:27:07
Let me ask you, I thought, was I wrong, Phil?
00:27:10
Did they didn't they pass some law that said that you have you
00:27:13
can't do that. We talked about this on the show
00:27:16
when I had you on It's like isn't that wasn't that at some
00:27:19
point in California history not allowed that you could you could
00:27:23
be so in non factual in the wording having to do with these
00:27:28
ballot propositions. Yeah, they, they've cleaned
00:27:31
that. I don't know which one it
00:27:32
specifically was, but it was after that one because it was so
00:27:37
misleading that now there's a law that the Attorney General
00:27:40
can't make it up. Like it's free ice cream and
00:27:44
puppies and reality. It's like we're going to tax you
00:27:47
to hell and whatever. So you there's been cases of
00:27:50
like the attorney general's been brought to court for misleading
00:27:54
voters. I I think Xavier Becerra was one
00:27:57
of them. A couple of times he was brought
00:27:59
into court for exactly that, like he was miss naming what the
00:28:03
proposition does to to lead people and he had to be forced
00:28:06
to like change it over. There was another one that was
00:28:09
like a proposition that was started by Republicans and then
00:28:13
the attorney general came in and like crushed it somehow by like
00:28:17
changing the whole name. It was the gas tax.
00:28:19
Maybe that was it the gas tax when they screwed everyone on
00:28:22
the gas tax and they made it seem like, oh, if you if you
00:28:25
vote yes, then you support. It was like confusing because
00:28:29
you wanted yes to get rid of the gas tax, but in reality was no,
00:28:33
we don't want a gas tax. So they kind of like.
00:28:35
This one such a beautiful example of that very thing.
00:28:38
I think it's just so obvious. I mean, where are the lawsuits?
00:28:42
Is is anyone suing? Maybe this is the right question
00:28:45
for you instead of that's wrong, why are they doing that?
00:28:47
We know why they're doing it. Who's suing over it?
00:28:51
This is the cat, the state that everyone's supposed to sue.
00:28:53
They sue for everything. But when it comes to like the
00:28:56
tyranny here, no one opens their mouth.
00:28:59
Everyone's like little obedient, you know, no one's protesting.
00:29:02
No one's anything on our side whatsoever.
00:29:05
Yeah. We shared a couple episodes ago.
00:29:08
There's the commercial where their whole thing is regarding
00:29:14
Charles Munger Junior who donated for no on Prop 50.
00:29:17
They're like, you know, anti abortion pearls, Munger, anti
00:29:23
LGBTQ. So they're, you know, Prop 50 is
00:29:26
so good guys that we're going to lie about what it is.
00:29:28
It has nothing to do with abortion rights, nothing to do
00:29:33
with LGBTQ, but they're making it like you're going to lose
00:29:37
your rights if you vote no. You know, you need to vote yes
00:29:40
on this. And all they have to do,
00:29:41
especially in these polarizing times, is just be like Trump
00:29:45
wants no. You need to, you know, stand up
00:29:48
Trump. And Camille, what I've found
00:29:51
going back and forth with people on this topic is I I simply say,
00:29:55
hey, just defend this proposition without mentioning
00:29:57
Trump or Texas. I'm all ears.
00:30:00
Just do that without mentioning those two people that really
00:30:02
have nothing to do with congressional districts here.
00:30:04
But but please. And they either block me or just
00:30:07
don't respond. So it's a constant like they run
00:30:10
into a wall when you keep pushing the questioning of like
00:30:14
explain it without these two names, evil villains that you've
00:30:17
been given to run with, but they they can't.
00:30:20
So that should. They can't.
00:30:22
They can't do that on. They can't defend any position
00:30:24
that they have now. That's pretty much a hallmark of
00:30:26
the Democrat Party right now. I, I love it when people do
00:30:29
those man on the street interviews with like people at
00:30:31
these protests and they're like, so how is Trump like a king?
00:30:34
And then they literally just lose their ability to speak at
00:30:37
all. And it's just amazing.
00:30:38
But but no, Camille, I saw that commercial that you guys had
00:30:42
posted on your account. And I think it's, it's very
00:30:45
indicative of how desperate they are to get this pushed through.
00:30:49
And that worries me more than almost anything is that they
00:30:53
will throw out the, hey, you know, abortion rights are at
00:30:57
risk. You're, you know, not just
00:30:59
democracy, but they're going to start attaching every single
00:31:03
thing that people could potentially care about and say
00:31:06
if you don't vote yes on 50, then you're going to lose these
00:31:09
rights. And it's just amazing because a
00:31:12
yes on 50 vote does mean that you lose your rights.
00:31:15
You lose your right to an independent Commission to help
00:31:20
make sure that these districts are fair.
00:31:22
You you. It is a threat to democracy in
00:31:24
our Republic because it is unjust and unconstitutional.
00:31:29
But the fact that they are pushing that fear mongering so
00:31:33
hard makes me think #1 they're going to do whatever it takes to
00:31:36
get this through and #2 that ain't going to be legitimate the
00:31:40
way that they do that. Well, we had also shared one ad
00:31:45
that I was like, you know what? I hate the ad, but I will give
00:31:48
him props for at least being honest.
00:31:50
It was Tom Steyer's ad that he funded himself, and it was some
00:31:54
guy playing Trump. And it was him like Trump
00:31:57
getting mad at Prop 50 passing and him throwing McDonald's and
00:32:00
stuff like that in the White House.
00:32:02
And the end of the ad goes, stick it to Trump, vote yes on
00:32:06
Prop 50. I'm like, you know what?
00:32:07
At least you're being honest. Because that seems to be the
00:32:10
only argument I hear from the other side.
00:32:12
Like I can't, I can't get anyone to articulate whether it be on
00:32:17
Reddit, whether it be on TikTok or Instagram or anywhere in
00:32:20
person. Like tell me why you're voting
00:32:23
yes. And this is a good idea.
00:32:25
And they're like, well, because Trump did this.
00:32:26
It's like, Nope, Nope, Nope, Nope.
00:32:28
You're already out. Like you already missed.
00:32:29
Like, it's not about Trump. You're just a fan of
00:32:32
disenfranchising voters. It's kind of like the people who
00:32:35
still support Katie Porter. I'm like, oh, you support
00:32:37
abusive bosses. It's cool.
00:32:39
Good to know. But that's that the Trump angle
00:32:42
is interesting because I read something today that that Trump
00:32:45
might weigh in on Prop 50 like in the coming weeks or so.
00:32:51
And I want to get your guys's feel on that.
00:32:53
I'm not quite sure that helps. If Trump gets involved, like he,
00:32:58
he puts his finger on the, the scale, like just let it be like
00:33:01
let California figure it out. I feel like if he gets involved,
00:33:05
it's going to get more. It's going to galvanized the yes
00:33:08
votes even more. That's so interesting that he
00:33:12
that you said that he's going to may weigh in because like with
00:33:15
what's going on with the mayoral race in New York, that's a
00:33:18
disaster right now. He he'll make little comments
00:33:22
here and there. He's not in all the way.
00:33:25
I think he could have done more because I think it's really like
00:33:28
really frightening what's going to happen there.
00:33:32
But it's it's interesting though, because I don't know.
00:33:35
I don't know if he's going to get involved in this one.
00:33:37
I think people are going to that weren't planning on voting or
00:33:39
even knew are going to run towards it.
00:33:42
I mean, the whole debate last week, the mayoral debate
00:33:44
basically was Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump every single word
00:33:47
the entire time. So that is the magic word for
00:33:50
them. I don't know what they're going
00:33:51
to do in 3 1/2 years from now who they're going to, they're
00:33:54
going to say JD Vance, like it doesn't have a good ring to it
00:33:56
like that. They're not going to be able to
00:33:58
do that about everything. But him getting involved in
00:34:00
California, they love like from what I'm seeing on social media
00:34:05
when Gavin is fighting with him and I don't know how much of it
00:34:08
is actually like organic and real and not bots, but they love
00:34:12
it. They they're so excited about
00:34:14
Gavin like the superhero fighting the big, you know,
00:34:17
orange Cheeto man. They just, they love that.
00:34:19
So it could be a big problem if he, like I, talked about it, I
00:34:22
think. Yeah, I think the smart play
00:34:25
here is have Trump stay out of it.
00:34:28
Obviously they use everything he says and and does against him,
00:34:31
even when he's not doing anything, they'll find something
00:34:33
to use against him. But I think the real smart play
00:34:36
here and the good strategy, the the sharp strategy is to bring
00:34:40
Vance in because if we're looking ahead to 28, that is a
00:34:44
potential matchup. The person who can cut him down
00:34:47
the most right now and say, hey, keep it up, brother.
00:34:50
I'm taking notes on every single thing that you're doing, and I'm
00:34:53
going to use that against you when it comes time for for your
00:34:57
primary and the 2028 presidential election.
00:35:00
So I'd like to see Vance weigh in more.
00:35:02
He's been pretty quiet, which which could be a strategy in
00:35:06
itself, but but I think also, you know, it can be very smart
00:35:11
to just give people a long rope and let them hang themselves
00:35:15
with it. The problem is in the meantime,
00:35:17
the people of this state continue to suffer the profound
00:35:21
consequences of these, you know, horrible self-serving decisions
00:35:25
and actions that are super majority and Newsom and crew are
00:35:28
doing so. We'll see.
00:35:30
I hope Trump, I think he's not giving credence.
00:35:34
He's not giving any deference to Newsome.
00:35:36
He's like, that's not worth my time.
00:35:37
You know, he's small potatoes. I'm big time.
00:35:39
I've I'm creating peace in the Middle East.
00:35:42
You know, he's over here copying my tweets.
00:35:44
Like that's not worth it for me to spend time, you know,
00:35:47
responding to him. And I think it's a really smart
00:35:49
strategy. Yeah, I definitely hope he stay
00:35:53
silent because the second that he takes a stance, all the
00:35:56
Democrats, you know, whatever, he said, office.
00:36:02
Yeah, Here in San Diego, we see it from every level of of
00:36:05
office. All you have to do is slap a
00:36:07
Trump right next to your opponent and boom, the race is
00:36:11
off and you're going to get all of these unions and people
00:36:13
together like it's the end of the world.
00:36:15
And so, yeah, I think it's probably optically better for
00:36:18
him maybe to just sort of look beyond it because, yeah.
00:36:23
They did it to Rick Caruso and he had nothing to do with
00:36:26
anything with Trump related. They called him in that it's
00:36:29
like a billionaire boy toy womanizer.
00:36:32
Like they tried to make him like he looks nothing like Trump.
00:36:35
He acts nothing like like there's no connection
00:36:38
whatsoever. But it really worked Like a lot
00:36:40
of people I remember like were like, OK, we're voting for Karen
00:36:43
Vass because he's a womanizer and he's like Trump and they're
00:36:46
but they're buddies and they're this.
00:36:47
He didn't even vote for him. He had nothing to do with him
00:36:50
and it just, it's like a kryptonite for them.
00:36:52
They freak out. Yeah, I, I fail to see like,
00:36:58
outside of Zach, all of you have brought up great points about
00:37:02
how no one can really articulate, like, why they think
00:37:07
this is a good idea outside of it's Trump.
00:37:10
I mean, they got Barack Obama to do an ad that I see 2000 times a
00:37:14
day when I'm watching TV. I got like the news on, I have
00:37:18
like CNBC on just watching the markets and stuff like that.
00:37:21
And it's on every single commercial break I have to see
00:37:24
Barack Obama lie about how like this just protecting democracy
00:37:28
and brings people back. And they're redistricting.
00:37:31
And that's another thing that I don't understand.
00:37:35
And I think, Kyle, you brought it up about like, why the gap in
00:37:40
time? Like if, if this is truly, oh,
00:37:42
we're doing it just this once, just to stick it to Texas to
00:37:46
protect democracy, why does it have to last till 2030?
00:37:51
Like, why not just say that? Question.
00:37:53
I don't get that. And I I I don't.
00:37:55
Trust. Like, why are you not giving up
00:37:57
your power until 2030? Is it because in 20-30, you can
00:38:00
then come back to the voters and be like, hey, remember how we
00:38:04
did such a great job redistricting and making
00:38:06
California super, super blue? Like, well, we're going to do
00:38:10
that again. Why don't you vote for it again?
00:38:12
Like the census, right? Yeah, the census is.
00:38:15
Not happening. Obviously that's not going to
00:38:17
happen. A lot of people don't understand
00:38:19
what the prop says that it's temporary through, you know,
00:38:23
it's not temporary through next year.
00:38:25
It's temporary for several years.
00:38:27
And we don't know what things are going to look like by 20-30.
00:38:31
We don't know who's going to be in leadership.
00:38:32
So that's clearly, you know, manufactured by design.
00:38:36
But I think what what played out here, if we can just step back
00:38:39
and take an overview of all these pieces, all these little
00:38:42
puzzle pieces filling in the picture for us, You know, they
00:38:45
took their window. I think they have been looking
00:38:48
for some reason to, to do something here.
00:38:51
And I, I do believe that it, the wheels were put in motion when
00:38:56
Biden's DOJ sued Galveston County years ago.
00:39:00
I, I think that was the play then most unfortunately for the
00:39:04
Democrats, that didn't end up going their way.
00:39:06
Everyone got real quiet about it.
00:39:08
You know, when something happens, either you like it and
00:39:10
you don't want anyone to like, notice that other people don't
00:39:13
like it and everyone gets quiet or you don't like it.
00:39:16
You don't want anybody to say anything.
00:39:18
So they got the Dems got real quiet about what that higher
00:39:22
court decision was about Galveston and those minority
00:39:26
majority districts. And so everybody just kind of
00:39:29
like held tight. Well, here comes Trump in the
00:39:31
White House, you know, this past January and his DOJ is like,
00:39:35
hey, you guys, we got a win here, you can flip those.
00:39:40
And I think they thought, well, what do we do now?
00:39:42
Here's our window. We can blame it on Trump.
00:39:45
We can blame it on Texas. If those Texas, Texas
00:39:48
redistricting redraws of those maps had gained blue seats and
00:39:53
blue districts, nothing's happening.
00:39:57
The fact that you what? How many do they pick up?
00:39:59
Four or five seats 5. Seats.
00:40:02
Why? They're tracking 5 here, yeah.
00:40:04
They were all over that they were locked and loaded ready to
00:40:08
go. They saw their opening.
00:40:09
They're like, here we go the plans back.
00:40:12
We're we're back on track team and and they went for it.
00:40:16
And and Phil, I sent you on Instagram this compilation
00:40:22
video. I don't know if you guys have
00:40:23
seen it or if we're able to show it here on this on this live,
00:40:27
but it's our friend, Senator Shannon Grove, who we love and
00:40:30
she is she is at the mic saying who drew the maps?
00:40:34
Why won't they say, like, who was involved in this?
00:40:38
And then cut to every single interview with these assembly
00:40:43
members and they will not answer the question.
00:40:46
We're being transparent. But who drew it?
00:40:48
Nothing. Well, we're being so
00:40:49
transparent. We have a process.
00:40:51
It is shocking when you see those interviews side by side by
00:40:55
side about how shady this whole thing was.
00:40:59
So I I think it's worth a watch. Yeah, somebody in the chat said,
00:41:02
Oh yeah, you can totally take my freedom temporarily in quotes.
00:41:06
What did we learn about the government is that they never
00:41:09
take your freedom temporarily. That we we paint the.
00:41:12
Promise we're going to give it back.
00:41:14
What's interesting is actually so Texas, you know, was going
00:41:18
through all this and then there's like all these lawsuits
00:41:21
and and then they're kind of dropping some all that.
00:41:24
But technically California did this special session to vote on
00:41:30
this happening. And then they're like, OK, yes,
00:41:33
we're we're going to have this election.
00:41:35
And it was after that that Texas then officially went with their
00:41:40
redistricting. So technically, California did
00:41:43
it first. I mean, it's a technicality, but
00:41:46
technically California decided to redistrict before Texas
00:41:50
decided to redistrict. Yeah, I know.
00:41:52
I think they've been at this for a very, very long time and and
00:41:55
they seem to be on some kind of a shot clock.
00:41:58
And I do think that it has to do with next November and, and
00:42:02
Newsom not not being in position anymore, especially after the
00:42:06
debacle that is Katie Porter and her just general human presence,
00:42:12
not just as a candidate, but as a person, person, You know, they
00:42:18
thought that was in the bag and that she thought she had that in
00:42:21
the bag. And her interviews just she was
00:42:24
emanating this, this, you know, elitist.
00:42:28
Like I don't need these Trump voters.
00:42:30
I'm going to win. I've been assured to win.
00:42:32
And then it cracked open the Pandora's box of all of her
00:42:37
former interviews, which are glorious to watch, like watching
00:42:41
a train wreck right in front of your eyes.
00:42:43
And I think that has even put fuel on the fire that is
00:42:47
motivating them to get 50 through because now they're
00:42:50
worried about her and they're worried about who could
00:42:52
potentially win next November for that gubernatorial seat.
00:42:57
They're going to push her out the second this proposition goes
00:43:01
through for that in my opinion. I don't think they're letting
00:43:04
her represent them. They can't have another Kamala
00:43:07
running or like she's worse than Kamala.
00:43:09
No, I don't know who they're going to, who they're going to
00:43:11
have. They have the, what's it called
00:43:13
that What's the Spanish guy? You know, the one who was crying
00:43:16
with ice. Banta.
00:43:18
Christino. Yeah, I keep thinking Julio,
00:43:21
Jose, you know, like JD Vance. Would call him.
00:43:23
But he wants to jump in, I think, But I don't think they're
00:43:27
going to let Katie Porter. I think there's a lot more
00:43:29
videos out there and the second they, you know, double down on
00:43:32
her and endorse her, like the floodgates are going to open.
00:43:36
Camille, I know you're, you're like super investigative into
00:43:40
finances and financials. Have you looked into the company
00:43:44
that did do the redistricting for?
00:43:48
You know what? I have not.
00:43:49
And I I did intend to, and I haven't.
00:43:51
Because there's something floating on.
00:43:53
Oh, I bring it up because there's something floating
00:43:55
online about a, you know, I guess you just, I don't know
00:43:59
what form it is, but it shows financing, financing from the
00:44:04
Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which
00:44:06
donated $108 to the Redistricting Partners LLC,
00:44:11
which is I guess the company that is looking to do these
00:44:15
redistricting. So I think there is certainly
00:44:18
conflicts when it comes to the company behind the
00:44:21
redistricting. I mean, I don't, I don't mean to
00:44:26
sound like condescending like, oh, of course, yeah, of course.
00:44:28
Because we've seen this with, you know, what was Panera
00:44:32
donated to Gavin Newsom. Therefore they're exempt from
00:44:36
this. Like this is just.
00:44:37
Crazy. It's so bizarre to me.
00:44:40
Like I, I know, I know I have friends that are Democrats.
00:44:44
I know they're good people. I just, it's the policies in
00:44:47
California that are absolutely insane to me that people still
00:44:51
go, oh, yeah, that's a good idea.
00:44:53
Oh, they're exempt. That's not questionable.
00:44:56
That's totally normal. Oh, Katie Porter dumped mashed
00:44:59
potatoes on her ex husband's head.
00:45:00
Like I she's a leader. Like, come on, people.
00:45:05
Come on man, you know. Zach, was that the company that
00:45:10
is Paul Mitchell, not the shampoo Paul Mitchell.
00:45:12
But I, I know it's Paul Mitchell who's married to Jody Hicks, who
00:45:17
is the head of Planned Parenthood political action
00:45:20
committee. So and she was up there at the
00:45:23
original like Prop 50 rally screaming and yelling about
00:45:26
Trump. And, you know, if if Trump wins
00:45:29
more House representatives, it's going to be a national abortion
00:45:31
ban. It's all connected.
00:45:34
I mean, it's it's not like shocking to be like, oh, the
00:45:37
head of Planned Parenthood political action committee is is
00:45:41
like married to the guy who is purposely redrawing the
00:45:45
districts in the Democrats favor.
00:45:46
Wow, how shocking. It's almost like having Lorena
00:45:49
Gonzalez and the unions redraw the map and say like, oh, that's
00:45:52
fair. Yeah, if Lorena Gonzalez redraws
00:45:54
it, I'm sure it's absolutely fair.
00:45:57
Well, there's also a reason that they were so tight lipped about
00:46:00
who was redrawing these. But if you if you chase the
00:46:03
money and the connections, it's really, really the stuff that
00:46:07
nightmares are made of. But but the question that I have
00:46:10
for you guys, Phil and Camille mostly, you know, Phil, I know
00:46:14
that you are a constitutional law attorney, bom, bom bom.
00:46:20
Here's the question, Camille, are you an attorney?
00:46:25
No. You're just you're just super
00:46:27
smart and you're like, you've got that research brain.
00:46:30
I appreciate that. I just.
00:46:31
Enjoy research. I'm a yeah.
00:46:32
I'm a stay at home homeschool mom.
00:46:34
Well. I love that.
00:46:35
I mean, that's like some of the absolute smartest people that we
00:46:38
have in our entire country. So I'm super grateful to you for
00:46:41
doing that and and having that big juicy brain because I think
00:46:44
you both can answer this question.
00:46:47
We keep seeing this over and over, right?
00:46:48
It's corrupt to the core. We're not following rules.
00:46:52
We're just trampling over the state constitution, the state
00:46:55
Supreme Court. Like, do whatever you want, It's
00:46:57
fine. We said so.
00:46:58
Yeah. And it puts it puts
00:47:02
conservatives and people who are rule followers and constitution
00:47:06
followers on the back foot. And this is something that we're
00:47:10
seeing over and over and over again.
00:47:11
You know, we had this huge push for some of this legislation
00:47:13
that Newsom actually just signed.
00:47:16
And, and it seems like all of our attempts to get the word out
00:47:21
and, and scream as loud as we could.
00:47:23
You know, we're not screechers. We're not screeders over here on
00:47:26
this side of things. We're reasonable and logical.
00:47:29
And we think, OK, well, we're going to, we're going to follow
00:47:31
the rules and we expect that other people will too.
00:47:34
And so how is this fought from a litigation perspective?
00:47:41
Should should this there be funny business around this vote?
00:47:46
I don't know. I'm seeing these ballot returns.
00:47:48
It's super discouraging. Let's say, let's say you know,
00:47:51
it does it does pass. What are the ways to to either
00:47:57
appeal for injunctions or or do say like there was some
00:48:01
inappropriate funding or something to kind of stop it or
00:48:05
slow it down? Or is at that point, do you guys
00:48:08
think we're just sunk and that no push back, No, you know,
00:48:13
litigation, lawsuits in any ways of bringing out that corruption
00:48:17
is going to do anything about it?
00:48:20
Camille, you want to tackle this one?
00:48:22
No, she's like, you know. Definitely an attorney question.
00:48:28
Well, I was going to bring up, I believe the Supreme Court is
00:48:32
actually reviewing a case on the Voting Rights Act right now,
00:48:37
which might make all of this like move to begin with.
00:48:39
Like they they may change the Voting Rights Act.
00:48:42
And then that changes the requirements for all these
00:48:44
districts that are being redrawn.
00:48:45
So like the requirement for Texas to do what they have to do
00:48:50
like would change. And I think I saw a picture of
00:48:52
like Georgia, if like they didn't have the Voting Rights
00:48:55
Act, like it gets even more red. But to answer your question
00:48:59
about litigation, I think the problem is, is there's just not
00:49:03
the willpower or the the backing.
00:49:07
And I, I've said on this show, Camille and I have said on this
00:49:10
show, you can't give up on California.
00:49:12
This is the we're on the front lines of like pushing back
00:49:16
against statism in this country. And it it only gets worse if we
00:49:20
just let California do whatever the hell it wants.
00:49:24
If we were able to find like, I don't know, a billionaire with
00:49:27
deep pockets who believes in like freedom of speech and free
00:49:30
markets. I don't know if they a
00:49:32
billionaire like that exists. Maybe he invented like a
00:49:37
electric car or something. But he could fund like a
00:49:41
litigation non profit. Like I think there's one that or
00:49:44
even fund like Pacific Research or Pacific Legal Center, that's
00:49:48
how you're going to start like winning.
00:49:50
Like you always see these updates from like the Firearms
00:49:52
Policy Coalition who's always suing Gavin Newsom as soon as
00:49:56
anything Second Amendment comes down the Pike.
00:49:58
And they usually end up winning because they have backing,
00:50:02
because they have a ton of backing.
00:50:03
They have a lot of Second Amendment people who fund them.
00:50:05
They go to court and they win. I think here in California you
00:50:09
have to have like a California specific non profit law firm
00:50:15
that literally just is full frontal attack blitzkrieging the
00:50:19
hell out of like, oh, San Diego did something unconstitutional.
00:50:23
Great, we're going to take you to court.
00:50:25
And then, oh, somebody did something unconstitutional even
00:50:28
under the California Constitution.
00:50:30
Like you got to keep in mind there's a ton of stuff under the
00:50:32
California Constitution. Oh, they did something wrong in
00:50:35
LA. Great.
00:50:36
We're going to go file a written mandamus that they have to do
00:50:38
this or they did something wrong and they got to return taxpayer
00:50:41
money per this part of the California Constitution.
00:50:43
Like that's how I think you win in the courts and in battle.
00:50:47
It's like you just have to be everywhere.
00:50:50
And then it kind of puts a lot of politicians on their
00:50:53
strategically like those, you know, the far left ones or the
00:50:57
status. It kind of puts them on their
00:50:59
their heels because they're like, oh, wait a second, if I do
00:51:02
this, I'm probably going to this will be taken to court and
00:51:06
overturned. Like right now.
00:51:08
The problem in my opinion is there's there's no one, like
00:51:14
there's no one to hold anybody accountable.
00:51:15
Like who? Who's gonna hold anybody
00:51:17
accountable? Rob Bond is gonna hold Gavin
00:51:19
that. Organization, I'm so glad to
00:51:21
hear you say that. We have that group.
00:51:23
It's Pacific Justice Institute. Is that who you were thinking
00:51:25
of? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:51:26
OK. So you know, you guys know I do
00:51:28
a ton of work with them and I Co host one of their shows and they
00:51:32
have 36 offices, 26 states, a ton of attorneys, a ton of
00:51:37
cases, their religious freedom, parental rights, civil
00:51:41
liberties, they're so. Busy.
00:51:44
They're so busy helping people sue and it's every state.
00:51:49
Texas has a ton of problems in education.
00:51:51
Camille, you probably know about that.
00:51:53
Like Washington state, Good Lord, they're busy in Washington
00:51:56
because, you know, people's, people's rights are being
00:51:58
trampled on every day. They just can't keep up with the
00:52:02
work. And so I'm glad to hear your
00:52:03
take on that. I think that we need more and I,
00:52:05
I hope people can support organizations like that because
00:52:09
they are the ones sticking up for the citizens and the little
00:52:13
guys when when we don't have the ability on our own to, to sue.
00:52:18
I'd love to sue Gavin Newsom. I also know that he would just
00:52:23
then use again our taxpayer dollars to invite me into
00:52:28
oblivion and probably ruin my life.
00:52:30
But but you know, it's like this whole David and Goliath thing
00:52:33
going on. And, and, and I do hope that
00:52:36
that lawsuits and this pushback does offer some consequence
00:52:40
because there are times it does kind of feel hopeless.
00:52:44
But I, but I think the more we talk about this kind of
00:52:47
legislation, these propositions, you know, these Assembly bills
00:52:51
and Senate bills that are just so horrid and the more pushback
00:52:56
there is, the better. So, so again, I'm really glad
00:52:58
we're having this conversation and laying out for people why
00:53:01
this one is so critical because if if it does go, I just don't
00:53:06
think we're going to get it back right.
00:53:10
And I and I psychologically real.
00:53:12
I just want to make this point real quick.
00:53:14
I, maybe I'm getting a little like heady here.
00:53:17
I, I think psychologically it comes back to what happened in
00:53:20
2024 where I think Democrats saw the map get so red and they
00:53:27
literally went, holy shit, there's way more Republicans and
00:53:30
MAGA people in California than we thought.
00:53:32
And I think that scares them to think like, there's more people
00:53:35
who can support these nonprofits.
00:53:37
There's more people who can support these PACs.
00:53:39
There's more people who are going to get behind these
00:53:41
politicians. Like there's more.
00:53:43
I think they looked at that map and went, there's way more
00:53:45
political power opposed to us than we realized.
00:53:49
We've been living in this world of like, oh, everything we, we
00:53:52
have the state on lockdown. We have everything.
00:53:54
We have a super majority. I think that map scared the crap
00:53:57
out of them. And what you know, shows like
00:54:01
ours and and influencers like you guys is like a great way to
00:54:05
to show like there's there's more of us out there than you
00:54:08
think. And that's really what it's
00:54:10
about is giving people that hope of there's there's millions of
00:54:15
us out here who are not far left status like they have up in
00:54:19
Sacramento. And that's what I think scares
00:54:21
the political elite in California is that there's an
00:54:24
army of us out here in California and that scares them
00:54:28
to their core. So sorry, Camille, you can.
00:54:30
Well, that's OK. That's actually a perfect segue
00:54:32
into what I was going to say. So, you know, not to be
00:54:37
pessimistic, but I'm pretty sure we all see the writing on the
00:54:39
wall. Yes, it's likely going to.
00:54:42
It's likely going to pass. However, there is still a chance
00:54:47
that even if it does pass come June in the primaries or sorry,
00:54:52
come November, we actually don't they they don't win those
00:54:57
districts and that we might actually flip more districts
00:55:00
because we are seeing people fed up and starting to wake up and
00:55:04
vote red and they're over these policies.
00:55:06
And so they're like, I think more people are going to
00:55:09
downvote Republican. And so it's like, it would be
00:55:13
actually hilarious to me if yes passes and then come and, you
00:55:17
know, next November, like they didn't win all the seats that
00:55:21
they thought they were going to win with this stupid waste of
00:55:23
money proposition that they're doing.
00:55:26
And regarding the law thing, which Phil, you could chime it
00:55:28
on this, but it does concern me that even if somebody does sue,
00:55:33
litigation takes so long that it might be 20-30 by the time they
00:55:37
even you know, where to, to, to do something legally or for it
00:55:42
to get anywhere. Well, with the good thing about
00:55:45
constitutional law is that usually you can get some sort of
00:55:48
injunction because a violation of a constitutional right is an
00:55:52
immediate harm to citizens. So usually that's the first
00:55:55
thing you ask for is a preliminary injunction of like,
00:55:57
stop doing this. Don't take away my gun rights
00:55:59
so. And just to give a small glimmer
00:56:03
of hope here, I know, I know COVID lockdowns sort of seem
00:56:07
like a fever dream, but it feels also just like yesterday.
00:56:11
And here in San Diego, while our local leaders were brazen and
00:56:15
just violating everybody's rights, like free, you know,
00:56:19
free for all. When organizations like we were
00:56:22
mentioning we have one here reopened San Diego, got involved
00:56:26
into the trenches and said, no, that's unconstitutional.
00:56:29
And what they were talking about was the city of San Diego trying
00:56:33
to mandate anybody that wants to run for City Council in San
00:56:36
Diego needs to be vaccinated. And so how horrific and dystopic
00:56:42
that sounds. It was challenged and brought to
00:56:44
court it it they reopened one in court and it was struck down as
00:56:50
unconstitutional and the city had to repeal it.
00:56:53
So that right there to me. And they didn't, of course,
00:56:56
didn't advertise that the local media didn't barely touch on it
00:56:59
and one article mentioned it and then that was it.
00:57:01
But like that was ginormous at a time they had arrogance up their
00:57:05
ass. Excuse my language, but the way
00:57:08
they spoke about how certain they were to see them lose on
00:57:12
constitutionality was a beautiful slap in the face.
00:57:15
So while the writing on the wall may not look as positive, things
00:57:19
could happen. But as you know, what we could
00:57:21
see there is still an opportunity I think legally in
00:57:26
the state to try and push back against them implementing
00:57:29
something. But it's not, you know, not it's
00:57:32
not all. Well, I was going to say April
00:57:34
in your hometown. I mean, you, you got the gift of
00:57:37
Bill Saley as US attorney and he's like a pull on a China
00:57:41
shopper. Like he, he's diving into all
00:57:45
the corruption that's going on in LA and like, that's enormous
00:57:49
because like, no one's been guarding the, the hen house
00:57:51
right now. And it's like he's going in
00:57:54
there. But nobody cared till he
00:57:56
started. I've been begging all the
00:57:58
reporters to talk to me about the the homeless issue.
00:58:01
I know people that are loaded the past two years that were
00:58:05
like middle class. They are rolling.
00:58:09
They're all in bed with Karen Bass.
00:58:11
They're all building housing that nobody's accepting, all the
00:58:14
numbers showing it when they actually do have an audit that
00:58:17
nobody even accepts the housing and these people are building.
00:58:21
You should see the parties they're throwing for their kids.
00:58:24
I mean, blowing millions of dollars like it's not normal
00:58:27
what's going on here. So I'm so happy that we have him
00:58:31
here now, at least somebody to expose this because that's
00:58:34
coming out of all our pockets. You know, we're all being
00:58:36
affected while everyone else is enjoying and going to the South
00:58:40
of France and throwing $1 bar mitzvahs, you
00:58:42
know? Yeah.
00:58:46
We'll ask you another question real quick.
00:58:48
Well, we just have a minute. Just I want.
00:58:50
I really want to. We have all the time, I said.
00:58:52
An hour, but I mean. I want to walk this forward
00:58:55
really quickly and and there's something about this prop that I
00:58:59
don't understand how this would work going forward.
00:59:01
And I do think, Phil, you probably can answer this
00:59:03
question should Prop 50 pass and and the independent
00:59:08
redistricting Commission is removed and now there is the
00:59:12
ability for this other state leadership to redraw these
00:59:16
districts. Can that happen at any time
00:59:20
then? So between when it goes into
00:59:23
effect and 2030, let's say to Camille's point, you know,
00:59:27
people are so livid over Prop 50 passing that, you know, it
00:59:31
actually turns turns the vote. Well, let's say that state
00:59:35
leadership says, well, we don't like that that happened.
00:59:37
Can they just redraw them again? I mean, is there some kind of
00:59:40
process or limit or timeline to how frequently these districts
00:59:45
can be redrawn then in this time frame?
00:59:51
I mean, I, I haven't memorized the voter language, but if it
00:59:55
says it gives it power back to legislature without the language
01:00:00
of finality of like this is it, we're doing it this one time and
01:00:04
then it'll go back to the independent redistricting
01:00:06
committee. I wouldn't put it past Democrats
01:00:10
to try and do it again in like a couple years at the next midterm
01:00:14
election. Be like, we're going to, you
01:00:16
know, this, we, we figured this one's not fair, so we're going
01:00:18
to redraw it again. And that may be a good like note
01:00:22
to end on is sort of the future ramifications and get your guys
01:00:29
opinion on this. I'm worried about the tit for
01:00:32
tat kind of like using the political process in this like
01:00:35
political warfare. Like it was kind of accepted
01:00:38
that like, OK, we fight things out at the ballot box with ideas
01:00:42
and our platforms and stuff like that.
01:00:45
Now we've somehow gotten into a weird war over, we're just going
01:00:49
to change the maps and we're just going to like, we're going
01:00:51
to battle each other. Like Illinois want to get
01:00:53
involved, Massachusetts want to get involved.
01:00:55
We're all like now just going to redistrict to rig the election
01:00:59
how we want it. Like that feels like we're
01:01:02
teetering on the edge of like destroying the Republic and what
01:01:06
holds us together. That may be the biggest thing
01:01:10
that scares the crap out of me is like, once states start doing
01:01:12
that, are we even a Republic anymore?
01:01:16
Are we even the United States where we follow a set of rules
01:01:19
of like you redraw your districts and they sit there for
01:01:22
10 years. We're not even following those
01:01:24
rules anymore. So I'll throw that out to you
01:01:26
guys, whoever wants to hop in. Like if you're concerned about
01:01:29
the bigger, like long term kind of catastrophic, I'm not trying
01:01:34
to be black billed here, but the catastrophic damage this could
01:01:37
do to like the fabric of our country.
01:01:39
I'm not trying to be too depressing at the end of this
01:01:42
episode about how the constitution everything might
01:01:44
call crumbling down after this. But anyway, whoever wants to
01:01:48
jump in after that cheery note? I mean, I'll just add to the
01:01:53
sentiment. Like I said, I thought this was
01:01:54
a joke because of how horrific it was.
01:01:56
And now that I realize, obviously it's not a joke, your
01:02:00
concerns are not just I mean, this is like, this is exactly
01:02:04
the way things will can and have gone in the past in other
01:02:07
countries. I mean, I studied international
01:02:09
relations. I I, I feel like countries are
01:02:11
living organisms. I've watched them rise and die.
01:02:14
And these are similar tactics of the tit for tat the OK, now our
01:02:19
ideas aren't clashing anymore. Let's start using institutions
01:02:24
to clash. Let's start lawfare.
01:02:26
Let's start redistricting. Let's because you're right,
01:02:28
there is an elevation in the political discourse today and
01:02:32
it's not based on discourse and dialogue.
01:02:35
It's based on on intimidation and structural changes.
01:02:40
So I do think that's a legit fear.
01:02:42
And that's one of the things I tell young people when talking
01:02:45
or my peers when talking about these issues is like, this is
01:02:48
something that's going to disenfranchise not just
01:02:52
Republican, Democrat, our system of government.
01:02:55
And moving forward, like you said, when's the when do we
01:02:58
stop? When do we just go back to 10
01:03:00
years? Or is it whenever someone's
01:03:02
upset they redraw? I mean, this is stuff that like
01:03:04
Robespierre did during the French Revolution, like when he
01:03:07
couldn't get enough Jacobins in the legislature, he just said,
01:03:11
oh, OK, I'm just going to swap all you out and put all my guys
01:03:14
in. And that's how I'm going to take
01:03:15
over. And it's like, that's what it
01:03:17
feels like. It's like, well, we can't get
01:03:18
enough representatives in Congress the normal way, the way
01:03:23
it's supposed to, so let's just cheat and get everybody in there
01:03:26
as much as we can. That's what it feels like.
01:03:29
Right. Yeah, Sorry.
01:03:33
I I should let the guests go first.
01:03:35
If we have you here for a reason.
01:03:37
Go ahead, ladies. Kamil, you have such good input
01:03:41
here, so please we want to hear from you too.
01:03:44
Thank you. I, you know, we haven't heard
01:03:49
the argument recently of pack the courts, but I feel like they
01:03:53
could use this if they now, on the one hand, if every state
01:03:57
decides to redistricted response it, they've said or like ChatGPT
01:04:03
or whatever has said, Republicans would actually come
01:04:05
out ahead, which that should scare Democrats.
01:04:08
But but if they do start to do this and get their way, can't
01:04:10
they then use it to pack the courts and pass that?
01:04:13
And and like I mean exactly like Phil said, where does it end?
01:04:18
That was my exact point I was going to make actually, was that
01:04:22
this will be used. No, no, this, this will be used.
01:04:25
It's this finger pointing and blame placing in order to
01:04:29
justify and distract the voter and and fill your right.
01:04:34
You know, we, we are drifting so far from the intention of why
01:04:39
our country is a Republic and why we don't ever let majority
01:04:43
rule infect our, our process of decision making.
01:04:48
And, and this sort of top down with the voter and the people at
01:04:52
the top. We aren't a monarchy.
01:04:55
That's the point. And, and it's interesting to see
01:04:59
that we are inching ever, ever closer in this state to, to
01:05:03
operating like 1. And it is scary.
01:05:05
And I think it's OK that people listening tonight to this
01:05:09
understand how vital this vote is.
01:05:12
I would say in the last 15 years, maybe this is probably
01:05:15
one of the most critical votes and and ballot propositions in
01:05:19
terms of how things are going to go forward and how we are just
01:05:23
sort of letting go of those guard rails that are that are
01:05:25
keeping some kind of reasonability in place for
01:05:30
protecting the way that we operate as a Republic.
01:05:34
So I would just encourage everyone just that now's the
01:05:37
time. Get off your Duff, fill out the
01:05:40
bubble, put it in the mail, please.
01:05:42
Like it's literally the easiest thing to do.
01:05:45
And I have a lot of concern with our heads are in policy and
01:05:50
legislation and California specific movement all day long.
01:05:54
This one is really highly concerning.
01:05:58
Please vote. Yeah, I, I think that COVID,
01:06:05
when it all has started, everybody freaked out all of a
01:06:08
sudden, Oh my God, we don't have rights.
01:06:10
All these things are happening. We started learning and waking
01:06:13
up and like, Oh my gosh, like all these things, they're able
01:06:15
to do this. They're able to do that to us.
01:06:17
And I just feel like we had like, it was, it's quiet.
01:06:20
It's like this like quiet situation going on.
01:06:23
And they're doing all this stuff behind the scenes, like, oh, we
01:06:26
got Trump in office. Wonderful.
01:06:28
Everything's good. And they're just always like
01:06:31
working, passing these little props and these little bills and
01:06:34
everything under your nose because there's so many people
01:06:36
who are not, you know, involved and they think, okay, everything
01:06:40
is all good now Trump's in office, we're good to go.
01:06:42
And it's just, it's a slippery slope.
01:06:44
And I feel like it's just like this, the calm before the storm.
01:06:49
And I just feel like it's like it's escalating.
01:06:51
And there's something else that they're always, that they always
01:06:54
have up under their sleeve. And just, I'm just very
01:06:56
concerned that like, it's not going to be the end of this, you
01:06:59
know? And who knows why they're
01:07:01
passing this and what they really haven't.
01:07:03
Like there's something else going on that we just don't know
01:07:06
about. And that's why they're pushing
01:07:08
this to distract us. Everyone should be like, on top
01:07:11
of Newsom with everything going on with the fires, like the fact
01:07:14
that nobody's saying anything. This was like the perfect time
01:07:17
to swoop in and distract from his horrible response that
01:07:21
nothing's been built there. You know, no one's ever moving
01:07:24
back there. And anytime soon, you know, by
01:07:26
20-30, I doubt it. And so he just brought this
01:07:30
whole thing in like, nothing to see here.
01:07:31
I'm going to distract you with this like a magician.
01:07:34
So it's just, it's very alarming and I don't know what, you know
01:07:37
what's coming, but everybody's got to just vote.
01:07:39
It takes literally 2 seconds. It's super easy.
01:07:42
Yes. And what's interesting too is
01:07:44
which of course, we've all brought this up a million times,
01:07:47
but you know, Prop 36, which overwhelmingly passed in
01:07:50
California, including obviously Democrats.
01:07:53
So even Democrats, you should be concerned about the fact that
01:07:55
you voted to pass Prop 36, Gavin Newsom said we can't fund it.
01:08:01
There's no money. And it magically came up with,
01:08:05
you know, nearly $300 million to have this special election.
01:08:10
And so why aren't you challenging the man that you put
01:08:12
in office of we voted on this proposition, we wanted to fund
01:08:17
it. We agreed that that was a good
01:08:19
use of tax dollars. You said, no, we don't have the
01:08:22
money, but here it is. What what were you doing all
01:08:24
that time? Where did this money come from
01:08:26
if we didn't have it before You guys come on, challenge,
01:08:31
challenge the governor that you elected on his policies.
01:08:36
It's a good question. Yeah, like April said.
01:08:38
Like it's. Go ahead.
01:08:41
Yeah, no, I was just gonna say like, it's a great point April
01:08:43
made is people got so excited that Trump got reelected and
01:08:47
they were like, that's it cool. We won, It's over.
01:08:51
It's like, it's like Top Gun, roll the credits.
01:08:54
You know, it's all good. Like it's all that.
01:08:56
We won. America's back.
01:08:58
Look. At Miami right now, Miami,
01:09:00
they're trying to pass a mayor in there.
01:09:03
I don't know how they did it, some loophole.
01:09:05
It's a year before the race. Nobody even knew.
01:09:08
All of a sudden she's like a Soros funded Democrat socialist,
01:09:12
like anti-Semitic jihadi person and it's Miami.
01:09:16
It's like full of Jews and she's like, no bail reform homeless
01:09:20
encampments like Karen Bass on freaking steroids in Miami
01:09:25
because you all thought, oh, we're all good.
01:09:27
We got Ron De Santis, everything is great.
01:09:29
We can walk around with guns strapped to our like, no, that's
01:09:33
exactly what they do. You're distracted thinking
01:09:35
everything's fine. And little by little they do
01:09:37
these local races. Look at Arizona, Arizona thought
01:09:40
it was red. And look how they got, you know,
01:09:42
Katie Hobbs in there. Did they ever get her out?
01:09:44
I mean, with the conflict of interest there, that she
01:09:46
literally oversaw her own election and all the fraud,
01:09:50
that's the problem. It's very hard to backtrack
01:09:52
these things. She got in trouble for so much
01:09:54
fraud and all these things, but nobody's talking about it,
01:09:58
everyone. Forgets you've heard that saying
01:10:00
right about conservatives about Republican when we lose, we quit
01:10:05
and when we win, we quit. And so I think if if we are
01:10:09
still sadly, not too many days past Charlie Kirk's murder and
01:10:17
death and and we cannot lose hold of that fire, that every
01:10:21
person in their own way needs to figure out how to have their
01:10:23
voice heard to do something to to make videos and put them out
01:10:27
there on TikTok, right? Like, even if you get the hate
01:10:30
in return, do something like get out there, encourage people to
01:10:34
vote. Go collect your friends signed
01:10:38
and sealed and filled out ballots and ballot harvest the
01:10:41
right legal way. Everyone has a different way
01:10:45
that is unique to them that they can participate in this,
01:10:48
participate in your civic duty. This is our, this is our right.
01:10:51
People fought very hard for us to have this ability.
01:10:55
So I would just encourage everyone to to do your part in
01:10:58
the way that you can. And, and we cannot quit now.
01:11:02
We we've got to keep going. Yeah, my mom brought up today.
01:11:05
She's like, California has made it so much easier for everyone
01:11:07
to vote and yet less people vote.
01:11:10
So if you haven't voted yet, get your friends together this week.
01:11:14
You're all just going to pile into whoever has the largest
01:11:16
car. Go drive through fast food, get
01:11:19
yourself some large diet Cokes, and then just drive up to a
01:11:21
ballot box and drop off your ballots.
01:11:23
Make it, make it your girls night out, your guys night,
01:11:27
couples date, whatever, go do it.
01:11:31
Make it a party. Make it a whole night out.
01:11:33
All right, Well, thank you everyone for, well, you know how
01:11:38
I like to say, like I sit down and have a glass of whiskey
01:11:40
before my full ballot next year. Why not make it a whole house
01:11:44
party? Don't drink.
01:11:45
And drive. Don't drink and drive Uber to
01:11:48
your bell box or or way MO or something like that.
01:11:51
They don't pop. People for for driving drunk
01:11:53
anymore Camille in this state so oh.
01:11:55
Yeah. I missed that one.
01:12:00
I'm kidding. You definitely will get in
01:12:01
trouble. Don't.
01:12:02
You yeah, that is not advice to go out drinking and driving.
01:12:05
That is, we do not endorse. That crack on the sidewalk?
01:12:09
That's OK. Oh my gosh.
01:12:10
And color self homeless. Jaywalking.
01:12:13
So, you know, go ahead and. Go ahead and do, yeah.
01:12:16
You'll get 12 ballots, That OK? Now we're we'll have to, we'll
01:12:22
have to have another roundtable about like all the problems, all
01:12:25
those dumb laws with California. We could probably have a three
01:12:27
hour show about dumb laws in California.
01:12:29
Multiple. Hours.
01:12:31
Well, I want to thank you guys for coming on.
01:12:33
This was an amazing roundtable. I feel like we could have talked
01:12:36
for like 3 hours, but there's a lot of great discussion about no
01:12:41
on Prop 50, a lot of other things we touched upon.
01:12:45
So before we log off for the night, I want our guests to let
01:12:49
the viewers and listeners know where they can go find them,
01:12:52
where they can go follow them, stuff like that.
01:12:53
Keep up with them and their input and all that.
01:12:55
And yeah, just let us know where where we can find you.
01:13:01
Awesome. Thank you, guys.
01:13:02
Thanks for having us. This was fantastic.
01:13:04
I hope we can do it again. Appreciate you guys and
01:13:06
appreciate everything that California Underground is doing.
01:13:08
You guys keep up the great work. If you want to follow along and
01:13:11
get your basics broken down all the time, I'm at Politically
01:13:15
Basic and at Being Kyle Campbell.
01:13:19
April. I'm at Cala Cali Maga Barbie on
01:13:24
Instagram, that's my main page, but I'm also on TikTok and X and
01:13:29
YouTube and I've been talking a lot about the other election,
01:13:32
not just California right now, but exposing what's going on in
01:13:36
the New Jersey and New York City race.
01:13:38
They asked me to get involved in Virginia also, so talking about
01:13:42
all the things basically. Awesome, Zach round us at.
01:13:48
Yeah, so again, Phil, you know, I love what you do and I
01:13:51
appreciate you having this conversation.
01:13:52
We need to have more of it. I'm going to give a shameless
01:13:55
plug to our October 25th deployment for no on Prop 50.
01:14:01
It's going to be in Poway. And if you're in Poway, CA,
01:14:04
we're going to be hitting the neighborhoods from 8:00 AM to
01:14:06
12:00. And then we're going to San
01:14:07
Diego Young Republicans is going to provide lunch.
01:14:10
So definitely, regardless of what's writing written on the
01:14:14
wall, we, we know, you know, we have been raised here in
01:14:17
California to have thick skin and continue to fight.
01:14:20
So we're going to continue to fight.
01:14:21
You can follow me at Zach Giannino or follow us San Diego
01:14:25
Young Republicans on our social media.
01:14:28
Awesome. Right, well, thank you again
01:14:29
everyone for tuning in and make sure the best thing you can do
01:14:32
to support the show that's 100% free is you can share it with
01:14:35
someone who needs to learn more about Prop 50 and why they
01:14:38
should vote now. And with that, we will see you
01:14:41
on the next one later. None.
