Episode 53 - Conservatism Will Soon Be Illegal, Opponents of Recall Smear Organizers and Supporters, More Tax Hikes on the Way

Episode 53 - Conservatism Will Soon Be Illegal, Opponents of Recall Smear Organizers and Supporters, More Tax Hikes on the Way

After the events of January 6th, it is no surprise that the Establishment will use this opportunity to clamp down on any future outsiders holding the White House any time soon.

Piggy backing off the chaos in the Capitol, San Diego County Supervisor Nathan Fletcher calls anyone who supports the Recall effort against Gavin Newsom as "Pro Trump extremists" and says the organizers are linked to "Neo Nazis and white supremacists." Ironically, the more Democrats smear the Recall, the more popular it gets.

More tax hikes on the agenda, yet California has so much cash that it may actually have to return it to the tax payers.

00:00:06
If you're a California, conservative a Libertarian, a

00:00:09
moderate Democrat. Believe in common sense or just

00:00:12
the same person. This is the political podcast

00:00:15
for you. It's the California underground

00:00:17
podcast. What's going on here, but I

00:00:21
think you're doing to another episode of California and

00:00:23
Granny. Host, Phil Crazy times.

00:00:26
Crazy week another. I'm sure crazy week coming up

00:00:29
ahead of us with the supposed inauguration of see Joe and the

00:00:36
welcoming of a new Administration, but we got a lot

00:00:39
of stuff on the docket today regarding California.

00:00:42
We got San Diego County, Supervisor, Nathan Fletcher,

00:00:45
Colleen, those linked to the recall effort neo-nazis, the

00:00:50
fact that it California may be raking in so much tax money that

00:00:53
by law. They actually may have to return

00:00:55
some but that won't stop them from having more tax hikes

00:00:58
coming up on the agenda coming up in 2021.

00:01:02
So before we begin, let's get started with our out of the gate

00:01:06
monologue. This past week has been a rough

00:01:11
week for conservatives. And those who supported

00:01:13
President Trump, the chaos that occurred at the Capitol last

00:01:15
week, has given only the left a huge opportunity.

00:01:19
Not only the left a huge opportunity but also

00:01:21
establishment Republicans who seek to distance themselves from

00:01:24
President Trump and his final days it has become increasingly

00:01:28
clear? That the establishment could not

00:01:30
stand President Trump and are more than happy to get rid of

00:01:33
him in just a few days, the chaos in the capital provide the

00:01:36
perfect excuse for such a stylish and types.

00:01:38
To give themselves the moral High ground and cut ties with

00:01:41
the president. They can clutch their pearls and

00:01:44
feigns shock and outrage at a supposed claim that President

00:01:47
Trump attempted to overthrow the government through violent

00:01:50
Force. Even as they fail to point out

00:01:53
to any concrete evidence for President Trump, explicitly told

00:01:56
supporters in January 6 to violently attack, the capital

00:01:59
they continue to push the narrative, CNN, is now a point

00:02:03
investigators are learning that the attack and I put that in air

00:02:06
quotes was playing well before President Trump speech, this

00:02:10
would be evidence that his words did not directly influence the

00:02:12
plan that was already in motion. Regardless, a story is out there

00:02:15
and now conservatives and Trump supporters wake up today with

00:02:18
allegations of them being domestic terrorist.

00:02:22
Now, the number one thing I figured after January 6 was the

00:02:24
establishments will to spin this into painting all Trump

00:02:29
supporters as enemies of the state.

00:02:32
What's that claim is out there? It's kind of hard to combat.

00:02:36
We are seeing it unfold right in front of us, social media has

00:02:39
run with this claim and now uses it to ban conservative voices

00:02:42
and counts. President Trump has been nuked

00:02:44
from all major platforms. Hell even Pinterest piled on and

00:02:48
band him I guess they were afraid that he was going to try

00:02:51
and sending coded messages with specific story boards who is

00:02:54
setting up. But that's besides the point The

00:02:58
left. You could expect would use any

00:03:00
excuse to Tar and feather, President, Trump, and his

00:03:02
supporters. Now when you see Republicans

00:03:05
like Mitch Mitch McConnell actually consider convicting.

00:03:07
President Trump for Insurrection and incitement of violence

00:03:11
you're even more dismayed at The Establishment.

00:03:13
Wanted him gone a long time ago they're probably all clinking

00:03:18
champagne glasses that he will be leaving on January 20th.

00:03:22
Now we're seeing this unfold in our local politics here in

00:03:25
California as well. It's spilled into every aspect

00:03:28
of political life, opponents of the recall effort against

00:03:31
Governor Newsom, when are capitalizing on the allegation?

00:03:33
Using it to smear those who support it?

00:03:36
San Diego County, Supervisor, Nathan, Fletcher, and an

00:03:39
abhorrent and up substantiated way claimed without evidence

00:03:43
that those who support the recall effort are quote

00:03:46
pro-trump extremists and those who organized that are quote

00:03:51
linked with neo-nazis. White supremacist, a disgusting

00:03:55
accusation. If I've ever heard one even for

00:03:58
a bully like, Nathan Fletcher, forget that the recall has been

00:04:02
ongoing for months. Now long before the events of

00:04:05
January 6, forget that recalls or right.

00:04:07
Given to the citizens of California through our own

00:04:10
California Constitution. They are jumping on the

00:04:13
bandwagon to label as a coup and if you support it watch out

00:04:16
because we are branding you as An Enemy of the State.

00:04:20
All this leads to one thing and the ultimate goal Of the

00:04:22
establishment, conservative populism, and actually

00:04:27
Progressive populism will be made illegal.

00:04:29
And banned from society, the election of President Trump was

00:04:33
a speed bump for them. It was one that got through and

00:04:36
shock them and they weren't ready for it.

00:04:38
Their goal now is to Salt the Earth and prevent the election

00:04:41
an outsider like him ever again here in California, they look to

00:04:44
stamp out any chance of a conservative Uprising.

00:04:48
Don't surprise be surprised when they start labeling, Kevin

00:04:50
Faulkner as a pro Trump extremists.

00:04:52
Make him walk back. Any support for the president as

00:04:55
he runs for governor. They'll make it illegal to be a

00:04:58
conservative soon not by any specific law.

00:05:01
But just by treating you, as An Enemy of the State, they will

00:05:04
publicly shame you. They will ban you from Flat

00:05:06
forms. They will call you a danger to

00:05:09
society. If you want to be a part of

00:05:11
society, you will either have to repent or accept your fate as an

00:05:14
outsider The Establishment in this on both sides have made it

00:05:18
very, very clear, obey us or be destroyed.

00:05:24
So starting off, I want to talk about this one, big fear that I

00:05:27
had, which is regarding the fact that I knew on January 6th when

00:05:31
I saw what was going on, I knew right away that they were going

00:05:34
to run with this. I knew that they were going to

00:05:35
run with this and start labeling, anybody who supported

00:05:38
Trump a Enemy of the State, not only that, it gives a lot of

00:05:41
establishment, Republicans like Mitch McConnell, Liz Cheney.

00:05:44
A lot of these swamp rats. That we've seen a good excuse to

00:05:48
hold their head high and say, well now we can officially cut

00:05:51
ties with President Trump. They had no problem with

00:05:53
president. When he was Raising records

00:05:56
amount of money for the RNC and for any other Congressional, or

00:06:00
Senate, candidates, or any other Governors, anything like that,

00:06:03
forget the fact that he helped recruit more and register more

00:06:06
voters. The Republican Party.

00:06:07
Forget all of that for a second. It gave them the opportunity to

00:06:11
get what they wanted. A President Trump, they said

00:06:14
well he won. Let's see where it goes and it

00:06:16
turned out. He was actually pretty good for

00:06:18
the Republican party then it turns around and they're now

00:06:21
going to use this as an opportunity to turn their back

00:06:26
on President Trump. It's no surprise.

00:06:29
It's not really surprising to me.

00:06:31
If you've been following the blood politics going on, you can

00:06:33
see that these rhinos, these neo-cons all were excited to get

00:06:39
rid of President Trump, they were ready to use him for what

00:06:42
he was using for the fundraising and then turn around and get rid

00:06:46
of them. The problem is though, President

00:06:50
Trump will go on. Do I think he'll be locked up in

00:06:53
jail? I think maybe I don't know.

00:06:54
They say there's a lot of litigation going on against him.

00:06:57
They might try and Pummel, President Trump and his entire

00:07:00
family into the ground. They really try and make an

00:07:03
example of the Trump's and say look don't ever cross the

00:07:07
establishment again. Don't ever think you're going to

00:07:10
make something happen here in Washington.

00:07:12
Don't ever think you're going to be an outsider because at the

00:07:14
end of the day, We're just going to crush you and yet, President

00:07:19
Trump slip by, we weren't expecting that.

00:07:21
We were expecting our, Our Queen, Hillary Clinton to get in

00:07:24
and, and run and be effectively. What would have been President

00:07:27
Obama's, third term, but he kind of snuck in, they weren't

00:07:31
expecting it. He ran a very unique campaign

00:07:34
and he was able to win. So this time they made sure he

00:07:37
wasn't going to win and now they're going to Salt the Earth

00:07:39
and make sure that President Trump probably never runs again.

00:07:42
If they impeach him with the caveat that they might add in,

00:07:46
that he can never run for federal office ever again then

00:07:50
they're really going to send a message that people like

00:07:52
President Trump or any Outsiders are not welcome in Washington,

00:07:56
and I posted this on the Instagram, my Instagram page

00:07:59
saying, if you think that it's just President Trump, you're

00:08:05
very mistaken, you're being very naive because at the end of the

00:08:08
day, they're not going to just go after present, roads are

00:08:10
going to go after every single Outsider.

00:08:12
Look, what happened to Bernie Sanders, not once, but twice

00:08:15
2016. They know it was stolen from

00:08:18
Bernie Sanders. They know that they stole the

00:08:20
election in the primary away from it even though he's way

00:08:23
more popular in way more support than Hillary Clinton, there was

00:08:26
way more enthusiasm behind him. It was evidence in 2016 that it

00:08:30
was The Outsiders election. It was really President Trump.

00:08:34
And Bernie Sanders who are really the most popular two

00:08:36
candidates. But Bernie Sanders sold out.

00:08:39
He was able to be bought off and he just went away.

00:08:42
He slunk away and he went back to being a senator from Vermont,

00:08:46
and that's fine by him. Republican party wasn't so lucky

00:08:49
to get rid of President Trump at that time, just candidate Trump.

00:08:53
But if you think that the left and the right, if it's only

00:08:56
conservatives, and then you're wrong.

00:08:58
It's this thing. I've been talking about this you

00:09:00
and a party. This idea that there's is just

00:09:03
one party. They Play the same.

00:09:04
They play their roles pretty well.

00:09:07
That Republicans do a little things a little bit more

00:09:09
conservatively but at the end of the day, the debt grows the

00:09:11
deficit grows and they stand on and you know, a little marginal

00:09:16
moral victories. The left does things that you a

00:09:19
little progressivism here, a little progressivism there, but

00:09:21
the end of the day they just both sides are really enriching

00:09:23
themselves at the government, trough and they're just feeding

00:09:27
like pigs at the trough at this point and they made it very

00:09:30
clear, Outsiders are not welcome and watch to and I don't Ink,

00:09:34
unless President Trump figures out how to run again, in 2024

00:09:39
and figures out how to get past, any sort of election fraud, or

00:09:43
voter fraud or anything, that might be rigged against them,

00:09:46
it's going to be hard to see if there's ever an outsider who

00:09:48
wins again, unless it's an outsider, who's disguised as an

00:09:52
Insider, and then, once they get in turns out to be an outsider,

00:09:56
that's kind of hard to do. If you're an Insider, you're

00:09:58
really an Insider not really an outsider.

00:10:01
But is this the end of that sort of Outsider politician?

00:10:08
But even more fear, more scary to me, is people who supported

00:10:13
President Trump or conservatives.

00:10:15
Going forth after this. There is a wake now.

00:10:19
And, and well, you know, I talked about it in the out of

00:10:22
the gate monologue which is that you as a trump supporter are

00:10:28
going to be branded and labeled as An Enemy of the State.

00:10:31
State as an Insurrection as or a domestic terrorist from here on

00:10:34
out. And that what happened on

00:10:36
January 6th was probably the worst thing that could happen to

00:10:38
President Trump on his way out. It left a bad taste and

00:10:41
everybody needs mouth, they made it look like all his supporters

00:10:44
were rushed into the capital, even though.

00:10:46
Now, we're finding out that a lot of a number of the people

00:10:49
who were there were actually not really Trump supporters for

00:10:52
example, this guy named John Sullivan from Utah, was an

00:10:56
avowed, a BLM activist and he said he's never was a trump

00:11:00
person. The guy who had the podium and

00:11:04
is ham. Actually has never voted never

00:11:07
voted for Trump. The last time you voted was in

00:11:09
2009, I believe. They also found out that there's

00:11:13
this other guy who was an antifa or far-left activist, we're

00:11:18
sorry to find out more and more that these far-left activists

00:11:21
and agitators, really infiltrated and really caused.

00:11:24
A lot of the the Ruckus for a lack of a better term and the

00:11:28
chaos that ensued in the u.s. capital.

00:11:30
That's not really surprising. Using a trump supporters because

00:11:32
I think a lot of trump supporters probably say, well,

00:11:35
that's not really our style to kind of destroy property, like

00:11:38
antifa or what was going on over the summer.

00:11:42
But that's not going to get run on the mainstream media.

00:11:44
That's not going to get run that up.

00:11:46
Well maybe it wasn't all Trump supporters, maybe we were wrong,

00:11:49
they're going to keep running this idea.

00:11:52
That Trump supporters and President Trump or

00:11:54
insurrectionist, that they are enemies of the state that their

00:11:57
treasonous and therefore they should be treated as Enemy of

00:11:59
the State. And when your enemy is, Stay all

00:12:02
rules, all bets are off, they can treat you however they want

00:12:08
because you're An Enemy of the State and its National Security.

00:12:11
Not only that in a time where everything is already super

00:12:15
sensitive and heightened. And this idea of partisanship is

00:12:19
really, really between covid and the presidential election,

00:12:22
everyone's really already partisan and very divided and

00:12:26
polarize and crystalizing, their their beliefs And now we have

00:12:30
this idea that Trump supporters are insurrectionist and it's not

00:12:34
just a national thing. It took all of about point two

00:12:38
seconds before every Democrat in the entire country is started to

00:12:41
run with this idea that Trump supporters are insurrectionist

00:12:47
enemies estate and therefore we're just going to smear them

00:12:50
every chance we get in the most late.

00:12:53
Latest example, was San Diego County, Supervisor down here, in

00:12:57
San Diego, Nathan Fletcher. I came out.

00:13:00
He's the new chair of the County Supervisor so I guess he feels a

00:13:03
little bit more emboldened by the fact that he's now the chair

00:13:05
of the County Supervisors that somehow that makes them more

00:13:07
powerful and people believe in a more.

00:13:09
I guess that's his thinking feeds his ego a little bit more

00:13:14
but now he has come out and said and it's got widespread

00:13:19
attention. He called out all those who

00:13:23
support the California recall effort against Gavin Newsom

00:13:26
saying that they are pro-trump extremists and those who are

00:13:31
running, it are now neo-nazis and white supremacist and I'll

00:13:34
play the clip for you where he talks about.

00:13:37
And now, I'm going to play a clip of Carl demaio, who also

00:13:39
responded to that. We're going to talk about a

00:13:41
little bit more. Thank you.

00:13:43
I thank you. Mayor Garcia.

00:13:45
It's my privilege to join. Assemblymember chiu, mayor,

00:13:48
Gloria civil rights. Leaders and the chair of our

00:13:52
Democratic party and joining California Democrats, it really

00:13:56
is unfortunate that in this day and age.

00:13:59
We have to come together to denounce acts of terrorism

00:14:01
against our own country acts of terrorism.

00:14:04
Against the will of the American people who turned out in record

00:14:08
numbers to have their voice heard and have their votes

00:14:12
counted, as a combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

00:14:15
I trained to respond to situations like an embassy being

00:14:18
overrun by enemies of America. But I never imagined, I would

00:14:23
see the day where the same situation would play out with

00:14:27
the US Capitol being overrun by enemies of America.

00:14:32
This was a direct attack on our democracy on free and fair

00:14:36
elections and the peaceful transition of power.

00:14:39
In 2016. I did not like the outcome of

00:14:41
the election results, but I accepted them and it motivated

00:14:44
me to work harder in 2020. What we are seeing happen

00:14:48
across, our country is inspired and motivated.

00:14:52
Indirectly by Donald Trump, trump and trumpism pose, an

00:14:56
existential threat to our peaceful democracy.

00:15:00
And so I'm joining fellow Democrats today.

00:15:02
Is we take a stand against right-wing militia groups

00:15:05
against the proud boys, white nationalist.

00:15:08
And everyone who is encouraging violence on our democracy but

00:15:13
these same extremists. These same Trump inspired

00:15:17
conspiracy. Theorists are now seeking to

00:15:20
undermine our democracy. Christian California, they are

00:15:23
involved in recall elections against our governor.

00:15:26
Gavin Newsom, the recall efforts led by Pro, Trump extremists,

00:15:30
seek to undermine the Democratic process across our state.

00:15:34
There is substantial evidence that those who are leading this

00:15:37
recall effort, our LinkedIn associated with Neo-Nazi, with

00:15:41
white supremacist with right-wing militia groups and we

00:15:44
cannot stand for this here. Either we have to stand up and

00:15:47
show them that we will outwork and out organized and that we

00:15:51
intend to Of our democracy and improve.

00:15:54
Preserve our democratically elected governor.

00:15:57
In this state, adding fuel to the fire as a former mayor of my

00:16:02
city, and the city of San Diego. A mayor who is trying to exploit

00:16:07
a environment of extremism to undermine and undercut.

00:16:11
The leadership of our governor, and I would be Kevin Faulkner.

00:16:14
Our governor has led during one of the most difficult times in

00:16:18
the history of our country responding to the covid-19. 19.

00:16:22
Pandemic with science-based data, driven approaches.

00:16:25
One of the most difficult situations that has ever been

00:16:28
encountered by any governor in anytime, but he's also battle

00:16:32
wildfires and natural disasters and a series of social unrest,

00:16:36
and he has done it all with consistency with purpose and a

00:16:39
commitment to serving the people of California.

00:16:42
If you contrast that with Kevin Faulkner, who half-assed his way

00:16:45
through his term in office, setting low expectations,

00:16:49
cutting them in half and then delaying it for Successor you

00:16:53
have a clear contrast and Leadership he left now, mayor

00:16:57
Todd Gloria. A structural budget deficit, a

00:17:00
homeless crisis, billions of dollars in unfunded clean water,

00:17:04
obligations a pension disaster of his own, making a series of

00:17:08
failed, real estate, boondoggles and years of backlogs of

00:17:12
problems. And an inability to make the

00:17:14
difficult decisions. And that is a stark contrast to

00:17:18
what we see in Governor. Newsom and leading our state and

00:17:20
California. Democrats stand with Governor

00:17:22
Newsom against this recall and against the Trump efforts.

00:17:27
It should also be noted that mayor Faulkner joined President,

00:17:30
Donald Trump on the day. He announced for re-election in

00:17:33
the Oval Office. Trump went on Sean Hannity, that

00:17:36
night to brag about how much mayor Faulkner supported

00:17:39
building the wall along, our Southern border and just

00:17:42
recently, mayor, Faulkner made clear that he did.

00:17:44
In fact cast his vote for Donald Trump.

00:17:47
That is not the approach that we need in the state of California.

00:17:50
And today, I'm joining the Credit party, in my fellow

00:17:53
Democrats in taking a strong stand against extremism against

00:17:57
what we are seeing and on behalf of the Democracy in our country,

00:18:00
and it's my pleasure to join you here today.

00:18:03
I would now like to turn it over to civil rights leader racial

00:18:06
Justice Advocate. Now, if you're not familiar with

00:18:09
Nathan Fletcher, he's making a name for himself, not in a good

00:18:13
way. I don't believe if you're

00:18:15
someone here in San Diego, you know, you're very familiar with

00:18:17
you and Nathan, Fletcher, is Nathan Fletcher.

00:18:19
Someone who has voted consistently to keep this.

00:18:21
Businesses shut all while hiding behind the idea that we have to

00:18:26
follow the science and we have to follow the data even though

00:18:28
his own Public Health, director Wilma, Wooten said that places

00:18:32
like restaurants and gyms. I actually don't contribute to

00:18:35
the spread of covid, but forget that it doesn't really matter

00:18:37
Nathan Fletcher, hides behind it and he says that businesses

00:18:41
should remain closed. He had a press conference once.

00:18:43
Actually shame businesses and say, you guys are being selfish

00:18:46
and greedy and dangerous, he has come out and said stuff like

00:18:51
this before. About Trump supporters, he's

00:18:53
tweeted about it now. He's actually coming out and

00:18:55
saying it on video and saying stuff like trumpism, and Trump

00:18:59
supporters are not welcome, in San Diego County, this guy and

00:19:03
his wife Lorena Gonzalez. And Lorena Gonzalez is the if

00:19:06
you don't know who she is she is the author of a B5.

00:19:09
They once joked on Twitter about how she was the job killer of

00:19:12
California. All, while in the middle of

00:19:15
Cohen when businesses are shut down and we are losing bit

00:19:18
record, number of jobs. Nathan Fletcher is a bully.

00:19:22
He is a guy who wants to get into power and wants to get into

00:19:28
more political power. Simply I think because he's a

00:19:32
bully and he tries to hide behind the hole, will I serve my

00:19:35
country and there's nothing wrong with serving your country.

00:19:38
Obviously a tip of the hat for anybody who puts on the uniform

00:19:41
defense, the country. But I think as any person who

00:19:44
served in the armed forces would say, it doesn't make you immune

00:19:47
to criticism. And as a political Figure here

00:19:51
in San Diego County. He has become quite the

00:19:55
notorious guy and people seem to really support them.

00:20:01
He's losing more and more support.

00:20:02
I think, as this goes on, he is up for re-election, 2022.

00:20:06
So will be interesting to see who, what kind of Challenger

00:20:08
they put forth against Nathan Fletcher.

00:20:10
There's anyone who's probably more vulnerable, it's Nathan

00:20:12
Fletcher, he seems to think that he's Invincible that he can say

00:20:16
these things, he can get away with these things and they

00:20:19
notice what he went through. You went through the idea.

00:20:22
He went one from use, he talked about being a marine and the

00:20:27
storming of the embassy, and then he went to the

00:20:29
Insurrection. He said it was an Insurrection

00:20:31
as storming of the US Capitol, and then he went from the US

00:20:34
Capitol and brought into the recall election.

00:20:38
And he tried to talk about how there was a record number of

00:20:41
people who voted in this last election.

00:20:43
As if he honestly if he honestly believes 80 million people for

00:20:46
job, voted for Joe Biden that I, he's either die.

00:20:50
Leave or is lying through his teeth because it's unbelievable

00:20:52
to think that any 80 million people voted for Joe Biden more

00:20:55
than President Obama. I mean, or President Trump for

00:20:58
that matter. So it goes from this argument

00:21:01
that more people than ever voted for drill bios.

00:21:05
A historic election. Obviously the wind was buying

00:21:08
and Joe Biden's, the Transcendent figure and that

00:21:11
this was an attack on democracy. And then he's now linking it to

00:21:14
the recall effort, and he's trying to and without evidence.

00:21:18
And this is the big thing. A lot of people jumped on That

00:21:20
he said, that there's evidence and belief that the people who

00:21:23
were behind, the recall effort are linked to neo-nazis and

00:21:27
white supremacist. Now, Nathan, Fletcher,

00:21:30
supervisor, Fletcher, if you do have any sort of evidence, it

00:21:33
would behoove you to probably release that evidence and he

00:21:36
hasn't released that evidence. He hasn't come out and press

00:21:39
conference and said, hey look the people who are buying it,

00:21:42
here's the evidence, here's what they've said in the past, here's

00:21:44
them on forums or story where you know there's a bunch of

00:21:48
different ways to improve this. He's not going to prove Of it,

00:21:50
it's just him throwing more mud. And now he went from the recall

00:21:55
effort, which is obviously gained Steam.

00:21:58
And now, he moves his attention on to Kevin Faulkner, which

00:22:03
shows you a couple of things. One, the fact that the Democrats

00:22:07
are in lockstep about this at the Newsome Administration, is

00:22:11
now have a little team of people who are going out and attacking

00:22:14
the recall effort and trying to link it to insurrectionists and

00:22:18
domestic terrorists and calling a white.

00:22:20
Process neo-nazis and all this stuff shows that I think Gavin.

00:22:24
Newsom is a little worried about what's going to happen with this

00:22:27
recall effort. The same thing can be said for

00:22:32
the fact that Nathan Fletcher in lockstep with his supreme

00:22:35
leader. Gavin Newsom, I think Nathan

00:22:37
Fletcher, sees himself, as the next Gavin Newsom.

00:22:41
Although a little history about Gavin news or a little history

00:22:44
about Nathan Fletcher, he flip-flop between democrat or

00:22:47
republican to see which party would give him more.

00:22:50
More political power and who would actually back him?

00:22:53
He also tried to run for mayor unsuccessfully.

00:22:55
I think the whole reason you switch from Republican to

00:22:57
Democrat, he flip-flopped back and forth between parties was

00:23:01
because he was a republican originally wanted to run for

00:23:04
mayor as a good young Republican.

00:23:06
Then all of a sudden when the Republican Party didn't support

00:23:09
his bid for mayor of San Diego, he flipped a Democrat and this

00:23:12
is where he is now. So obviously the Nathan Fletcher

00:23:15
this is just as long as he can get into Power, that's all that

00:23:19
really matters to him. The fact that they now directed,

00:23:23
he directed his anger and his harsh criticisms towards Kevin

00:23:26
Faulkner. I think shows that they're

00:23:28
really scared of Kevin Faulkner. That's something I've been

00:23:32
saying is that Kevin Faulkner. As soon as he stepped onto the

00:23:34
stage as a gubernatorial camera, he's trying, he's doing this

00:23:37
extra Tory committee or is exploratory committee.

00:23:40
Excuse me, I think that scared someone like Gavin Newsom and

00:23:45
I've been saying we will what we can talk about Kevin Faulkner

00:23:48
another time but I think this It shows that he has the best

00:23:51
chance to win as a governor Republican, Republican governor

00:23:55
of California is because the Democrats are clearly scared of

00:23:58
him. Gavin Newsom immediately went

00:24:00
out and attack Kevin faktor as soon as he said he was going out

00:24:03
for an exploratory committee. Now you see Nathan Fletcher like

00:24:05
a good little Democratic Soldier attacking Kevin, Faulkner trying

00:24:09
to go after him and cut him down.

00:24:11
So I think that shows that they're really scared but this

00:24:14
is what the bigger picture is that they're going to use

00:24:18
January 6 and what happened And linking people to present Trump

00:24:22
and what happened at the Capitol to try and distance them from

00:24:26
President Trump or to demonize people.

00:24:29
So now you can no longer really be conservative because if

00:24:33
you're conservative, people are going to say, well, did you vote

00:24:36
for President Trump? Oh, well, then you're supported

00:24:38
an insurrectionist things that domestic terrorists and yada

00:24:42
yada yada. And obviously, you're An Enemy

00:24:44
of the State because you supported a guy like that and

00:24:47
that's just going to be personal attack, personal attack,

00:24:49
personal attack, personal attack.

00:24:50
Act, which the left is very good.

00:24:52
At the left is very good at, not really arguing.

00:24:54
The merits of a case. They always just want to go

00:24:56
right to the personal attack. Now, I'm going to play for you a

00:24:59
little bit. What, Carl demaio, Carl demaio

00:25:01
is a local radio host here in San Diego and he had a response

00:25:08
for Nathan Fletcher on our local, no-stick New Station.

00:25:12
Here's what he said. So Carl demaio did not take

00:25:14
these supervisors comments, lightly and is now calling on

00:25:17
Nathan Fletcher to resign from office for quote, These faults

00:25:21
and dangerous smears and the chairman of Reform, California

00:25:23
Carl demaio joins us now, with more reaction to that language,

00:25:26
Carl, good to see you. What were your thoughts?

00:25:28
When you first heard supervisor Fletcher, discuss his thoughts,

00:25:32
I was not only shocked and outraged.

00:25:35
I was a little sickened by his remarks because it douses

00:25:41
already burning division in this country in our state, in our

00:25:46
region with kerosene at a time when we cannot be doing that,

00:25:50
He's Reckless, Nathan. Fletcher's comments are

00:25:53
dangerous. They are smears against

00:25:58
Californians. Who have a write a

00:26:00
constitutional right to use the recall process.

00:26:04
When they believe that their elected officials are out of

00:26:07
step and have gone too far on issues, and need to be replaced.

00:26:12
The recall of Governor Gavin Newsom has nothing to do with

00:26:16
right-wing extremism, militia groups, neo-Nazi, Is it has

00:26:21
everything to do with Gavin Newsom, Zone failures, and the

00:26:25
laundry list of failures is lengthy from his mishandling of

00:26:30
the covid-19 epidemic to failing to get people.

00:26:33
Vaccines in these last four weeks where we have a lot of

00:26:37
vaccines that are at risk of going bad because he's Dillard

00:26:40
and a lead to the fact that he hasn't gotten unemployed

00:26:44
Californians. The benefits that they need to

00:26:46
survive because he has an inept in that does not hold people

00:26:51
accountable. The fact that we have criminals

00:26:54
that are being released from prison, and the ones that are

00:26:56
remaining are applying for benefits committing benefits

00:27:00
fraud, the list goes on and on and and Nathan Fletcher would

00:27:04
like us to talk about those right now.

00:27:06
Because it would divert attention from his own,

00:27:09
reprehensible conduct. In making these statements does,

00:27:13
I am like a lot of, what would you say to the Jewish Community

00:27:18
here in San Diego? Who when they hear you likin a

00:27:24
democratic process of a recall of people complaining about high

00:27:28
taxes and an unaccountable government that that somehow

00:27:32
equivalent to Adolf Hitler and the genocide against six million

00:27:36
Jews. Are you absolutely out of your

00:27:39
mind? Nathan Fletcher.

00:27:40
That is disrespectful. It is outrageous and you need to

00:27:43
apologize your comments. Have no place in civil discourse

00:27:49
and yet. He seems to be getting a pass on

00:27:52
these comments. Logan, the Union Tribune is not

00:27:55
calling him out for it. Other politicians are not being

00:27:58
asked to call him out for it. No, he gets by with a smiie rely

00:28:02
and a comparison to Nazis who brutally murdered 6 million Jews

00:28:08
during World War true WWII. It's outrageous.

00:28:12
Yeah. Now I'd like to read for you.

00:28:16
The actual text. Of the California Constitution.

00:28:22
So Nathan Fletcher has no problem with saying that this

00:28:27
recall of her is a similar to a coup.

00:28:30
A coup is when you overthrow the government because the

00:28:34
government is not working for you or it's like in Cuba when

00:28:37
they overthrow the government or Venezuela and they throw over

00:28:39
the through the government. That's not what a recall is.

00:28:44
And the fact that they're now trying to link This purported

00:28:49
coup which they've made up to the recall effort, which is

00:28:53
started. I'm pretty sure almost a year

00:28:55
ago over a year ago at this point to say the recall effort

00:28:59
is a coup is not true at all. It is a constitutional process

00:29:03
that we're allowed here in California.

00:29:05
It's a lot of probably in a lot of States but California, we've

00:29:09
had success with a, we have actually recall, people most

00:29:11
recent being Gray Davis was the the most recent Governor recall

00:29:16
where they will get rich. Gray Davis out now.

00:29:18
Obviously led to Arnold Schwarzenegger but it's a

00:29:22
democratic process, it's in our California Constitution.

00:29:26
It's not something that people came up with, it's not something

00:29:30
that's a coup, a coup would be of a whole bunch of armed

00:29:32
right-wing militia, is went into Sacramento and overthrew and

00:29:35
took away. Gavin Newsom has office and

00:29:37
said, well, we now run Sacramento, that's a coup, but

00:29:40
doing a democratic process and following the laws of our state

00:29:45
that are prescribed to us, as a That's not a coup.

00:29:50
So in section 14, actually it starts in section 13.

00:29:54
Is this recall is the power of the electors to remove an

00:29:58
elective officer. And this is Article, 2 Section

00:30:02
13 section. 14 goes on, say recall of a state officers

00:30:07
initiated by delivering the Secretary of State petition.

00:30:10
Alleging reason for recall, sufficiency reason is not

00:30:12
reviewable proponents of 160 days to file.

00:30:15
Sign petitions goes on to talk. About what they have to do

00:30:18
section 15, and election. To determine where the recall

00:30:21
now officer. And if appropriate to elect a

00:30:24
successor, shall be called by the governor and he'll not less

00:30:26
than 60 days. And Marte days, from the day of

00:30:28
certification, sufficient signatures, they put it back up

00:30:34
section 17. If recall, the governor of

00:30:37
secretary of state is an issue. The recall duties of that office

00:30:39
shall be performed by lieutenant governor of cop Governor or

00:30:42
controller. And it goes on to say, the

00:30:46
legislature shall provide Recall the local officers, this section

00:30:49
does not affect counties and cities has chartered provide for

00:30:51
recall, so it's in our constitution.

00:30:55
It's in the California Constitution.

00:30:57
You can look at it starts on Section, let's go back up.

00:31:01
I just want to make sure it starts around section 13 of

00:31:06
article to the California Constitution.

00:31:09
So when people say that this is not a democratic process and

00:31:13
this does not honor the will of the voters.

00:31:17
Just say, okay, we'll go look at our calfire constitution.

00:31:20
Most people don't even realize that there is such thing as a

00:31:22
California Constitution, they believe it's the US Constitution

00:31:25
and that's it. Every state has its own

00:31:26
Constitution which governs the state and state laws.

00:31:30
That's what all of these proposition ballots.

00:31:32
Add amendments. That's why there's a bajillion

00:31:33
Amendment to the California Constitution because every

00:31:36
proposition and men's the Constitution.

00:31:38
But you can point them right here, Article 2 Section 13

00:31:42
starts. There goes from 13.

00:31:44
All the way down through 19 and in fact actually goes into 20,

00:31:47
it looks like and it talks about the recall effort.

00:31:51
So, when a by says that that it's not, the will of the

00:31:53
voters, and it's not Democratic process.

00:31:56
Just say, okay, we'll go tell me why it's not Democratic by

00:32:00
looking at Article 2 Section. 13 sections 13 through 19 or three

00:32:04
sections. 19 through or sections. 13 through 20, excuse

00:32:07
me. And our whole argument is

00:32:11
usually well. Why can 1.5 million people

00:32:15
recall? Someone who may have gotten, how

00:32:19
many votes, some people got it. Wrong said, all we got 40

00:32:22
million votes. There's only 40 million people

00:32:25
around 40 million, people in the entire State of California.

00:32:27
There's no way that cut Governor.

00:32:29
Newsom, got 40 million votes, but that's the recall effort.

00:32:32
It applies, not only to Governor's Statewide offices.

00:32:35
You can recall, anybody in California.

00:32:37
You can recall, County people, you can recall City people.

00:32:40
The recall effort is something that is used and it is available

00:32:44
to people in the state of California.

00:32:47
As I said, it's probably The available to a lot of other

00:32:49
states. I don't know all the

00:32:50
Constitution, but I imagine it's something that is available,

00:32:54
it's something that is allowed. If you will feel like you're

00:32:56
elected official is not fulfilling their duty of office,

00:33:00
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a new recall effort to

00:33:02
get rid of Nathan Fletcher after this.

00:33:05
If that's one thing that conservatives are people who are

00:33:07
just made with the Democratic stronghold here in California,

00:33:11
could really start to organize behind recall efforts because

00:33:15
recall efforts could really become a pain in the ass.

00:33:18
For a lot of these elected officials who feel like they're

00:33:20
not really. In polar really not held to any

00:33:25
sort of standard because they live in a super dark blue state,

00:33:29
but a recall might put them on a notice enough because you don't

00:33:33
have to get everybody who voted for that person to vote for, or

00:33:39
sign for a recall. You can get a small percentage.

00:33:41
So if there's a small percentage of conservatives, or people who

00:33:45
are dismayed or Independence or people in the middle, we're

00:33:47
tired of far live politicians or recall name Statewide I'd maybe

00:33:52
one of those things that could really just become a tool of the

00:33:55
minority here, and if so, like Nathan, Fletcher, who thinks

00:33:59
that no one's ever going to vote him out or recall?

00:34:02
Might be the one thing that, that wakes them up to the fact

00:34:05
that his words are poisonous and they're dangerous, and they're

00:34:08
more divisive. And that's another thing that I

00:34:11
don't seem to really understand is that if the head of your

00:34:14
party president-elect, Joseph R, Biden.

00:34:17
Junior says, it's time for a unity and it's time to return

00:34:20
the soul of America. It seems like every Democrat who

00:34:24
is really linked to Joe Biden. Is not following what he says he

00:34:30
is all about unity and let's get together and we're going to

00:34:33
bring the country back together. We're going to return the soul

00:34:36
of America. A lot of people on the left and

00:34:40
the Democrats don't seem to really be listening to that

00:34:42
advice and they seem to be driving wedges farther into

00:34:45
people instead of being a unifying figure.

00:34:48
Something like Nathan Fletcher is becoming more of a disunity

00:34:52
unifying person who is dividing people more than he's actually

00:34:56
bringing people together. Either, but that's Nathan

00:34:59
Fletcher. And I feel like we spent a lot

00:35:00
of time on him but it's the bigger picture that they are

00:35:05
using the co or the what happened on, January 6, what

00:35:10
they're calling a coup to. Now just paint everybody who's

00:35:14
conservative who or who opposes them, as An Enemy of the State

00:35:18
as some pro-trump extremists. As super alt-right far,

00:35:22
right-wing, militia is whatever they want to call whatever name

00:35:25
that suits their purpose. That's what they're going to

00:35:27
use. Call you.

00:35:29
It seems that this is only helped bolster the recall and in

00:35:32
the most ironic twist, the more they talk about this in the

00:35:35
more, they bring it up, the recall effort in the more they

00:35:38
really blunder this and even political, I think called amount

00:35:41
said that whole press conference, with Gavin Newsom

00:35:45
steam to call out the recall effort kind of blew up in their

00:35:49
face because now more people than ever are really looking at

00:35:52
the recall going out, maybe I'll look at the recall or it's

00:35:55
dividing people to sign the recall even faster.

00:35:59
So in essence, the fact that they're talking about actually

00:36:01
hurts them more. So in the end the ironic twist

00:36:04
is that they think that they're trying to dissuade people from

00:36:07
signing. The recall with a fact, they're

00:36:09
actually probably just helping the recall by getting more and

00:36:12
more people to sign it and tune into it.

00:36:16
So with that, there's another article, I want to touch upon

00:36:18
real quick before we finish for the day.

00:36:22
Trying to keep the episodes a little shorter because I've

00:36:24
noticed that more people tune in, and they stay around.

00:36:27
On for around thirty six to forty minutes.

00:36:30
So I only keep rambling on for an entire hour, this article

00:36:34
comes from Bright bar and title. Gavin Newsom, California has so

00:36:36
much cash, I can return some to the taxpayers, the state of

00:36:41
California, has so much cash, thanks to a revenue Surplus,

00:36:43
that may be required to return some to taxpayers, according to

00:36:46
a new budget, proposal from Governor, Gavin, Newsom for

00:36:48
trying 21 on Friday news and present.

00:36:51
His budget is staggering to two hundred and twenty seven point

00:36:55
two billion dollar planets. There was a fiscal blueprint

00:36:57
that Provides funding for immediate covid-19 response

00:37:00
relief, efforts for Californians.

00:37:01
Need at most will make the Investments for an equitable

00:37:04
inclusive and broad-based economic recovery.

00:37:06
In addition to propose a new spin on covid-19 climate change

00:37:10
and other typical Democratic priorities.

00:37:12
You should know that the state has 15 billion dollar Surplus,

00:37:15
despite the economic Devastation of the coronavirus pandemic as

00:37:19
the Sacramento Bee node. There might be so much of a

00:37:21
purse Surplus on a per capita basis that by that some money by

00:37:26
law may have to Refunded. The beat goes on to say.

00:37:31
The state is on Pace to hit a spending cap.

00:37:33
Voters adopted in 1979, when State politics were dominated by

00:37:37
a taxpayer Revolt Governor. Gavin, Newsom stir-fry as he

00:37:39
unveiled. A two hundred twenty seven

00:37:41
billion dollar twenty Twenty-One twenty-two spending plan.

00:37:44
The cat, the cap known as the Gann limit in honor of taxpayer

00:37:49
Watchdog Paul Gauguin aims to restrict per capita, government

00:37:53
spending to 1978 to 1979 levels voters.

00:37:57
Passed it just after they adopted Prop 13, The Landmark

00:38:00
law that restricts California, property tax increases.

00:38:03
If the state exceeds the gain limit, the government must send

00:38:06
rebates to taxpayers to be notice that the state has not

00:38:10
sent money back to taxpayers since 1986 when it returned, 1.1

00:38:14
billion. The rejected refund in 2021 will

00:38:17
be more modest in the range of 50 million.

00:38:20
A similar situation arose in 2017, but then Governor Jerry

00:38:23
Brown exploited loopholes to structure the state budget.

00:38:26
So that money would not have to be Turn California's tax

00:38:29
revenues did well in 2020 because the state's tax system

00:38:32
is heavily dependent on a relatively small.

00:38:33
Number of wealthy individuals. Wall Street ended the year at

00:38:36
record highs driven largely by the success of Silicon Valley

00:38:39
Tech firms. So on the back of that there is

00:38:44
another article from The Daily Breeze.

00:38:46
So even though they have so much money that they actually have to

00:38:49
return some of it. The Daily Breeze reports tax

00:38:52
hikes are back on the agenda in Sacramento.

00:38:58
Article says that Newsome pledge back in September that in a

00:39:03
global mobile economy. Now is not the time for the kind

00:39:06
of state increases on income. We saw proposed at the end of

00:39:08
the legislative session and I will not sign such proposals

00:39:12
into law. The iron is not lost on us that

00:39:15
the governor said this while endorsing prop 15, the failed 12

00:39:18
billion dollar tax hike in lace attempt on gutting, Prop 13.

00:39:22
But his remarks did provide a bit of insurances Sates job

00:39:25
creators. On the other hand, there is no

00:39:29
such as it's a hesitancy to push tax increases in the California

00:39:32
legislator. Now, if you don't know what

00:39:34
happens is the beginning of legislative session, they got to

00:39:37
throw all their bills in at once which makes it a little

00:39:39
confusing. But there's a lot of similar

00:39:42
people who bring all their bills all at once the game January, so

00:39:45
assembly Bill 65, which we I think we talked about before is

00:39:49
Prem assemblyman mlo. It wants to create a California

00:39:51
Universal basic income. It was like a bee to and 27:12

00:39:59
presented last legislative session, which proposed to raise

00:40:02
the necessary money. Either through a value-added tax

00:40:04
raising, corporate taxes, or implementing a tax on services

00:40:07
or services or stuff. Like if you're an attorney,

00:40:10
they're going to start adding taxes.

00:40:11
On two attorneys assembly, Bill 71 out by a simile, mirrors,

00:40:15
lose Rivas and David. Chiu creates a 2.4 billion

00:40:19
dollar, homeless fund the devils in the details.

00:40:21
However, in the bill suggest the money could come from increases

00:40:24
in income taxes on Individuals making over 1 million

00:40:28
increasing, corporate income taxes, and collecting taxes on

00:40:31
increases in the value of assets, multiple blasts, through

00:40:34
capital gains, and finally assembly constitutional

00:40:37
amendment number, one is back at it again.

00:40:39
This year ACA one by assemblywoman Cecilia Aguilar,

00:40:43
Curry would repeal the two-thirds vote threshold needed

00:40:46
to pass local sales and parcel taxes for infrastructure and

00:40:49
affordable housing projects. This direct attack on Prop 13 is

00:40:53
the camels nose Under the Tent and power of a long-term

00:40:56
strategy. You to strip away the 2/3

00:40:57
protection on tacking tax increases.

00:41:01
So even though technically, we actually have more money than we

00:41:05
are supposed to have. And some of it's actually

00:41:07
supposed to be sent back to the people that doesn't stop a lot

00:41:11
of Democrats in the assembly. They will just continue figuring

00:41:14
out how to raise more and more taxes and it's, it'll be

00:41:17
surprising to see if there's ever a bill that comes to

00:41:19
California that actually Cuts taxes.

00:41:22
Hopefully in the future. We can see that one of those

00:41:25
taxes or one of those. Bill's where they actually look

00:41:27
to cut taxes as opposed to continually raising taxes, on

00:41:31
people who work hard to make our lives a little bit more

00:41:35
enjoyable here in the expensive State of California.

00:41:39
Hopefully, that day comes. We're all fighting for,

00:41:42
hopefully, that day comes soon. And hopefully more people wake

00:41:44
up and say, maybe we should start electing people who decide

00:41:47
about cutting taxes really rather than raising taxes.

00:41:51
Because it can't keep raising taxes on the Millionaires.

00:41:53
And the billionaires who are effectively leaving the In

00:41:56
droves, I know they're trying to figure out how they can continue

00:42:00
to tax people who are the multi, Uber rich people for 10 years,

00:42:08
but they'll figure out a way to tax it.

00:42:10
And it just seems like there's no end in sight for how they tax

00:42:13
people and what kind of taxes they can raise.

00:42:16
So, with that, I'm going to finish Today's Show.
