[00:00:00] If you're a California conservative, a libertarian, a moderate Democrat, believe in common

[00:00:11] sense or just the same person.

[00:00:13] This is the political podcast for you.

[00:00:15] It's the California Underground Podcast.

[00:00:18] What's going on everybody?

[00:00:28] Thanks for tuning in to another episode of the California Underground Podcast.

[00:00:32] I'm your host Phil, as always with me is my trustee co-host, the best and fastest researcher

[00:00:36] in the West Camille.

[00:00:38] How are you doing tonight on this special night of all nights in politics?

[00:00:43] I'm so excited.

[00:00:44] Are you so excited?

[00:00:45] I'm so excited.

[00:00:46] Yeah.

[00:00:47] Yeah.

[00:00:48] We've been looking forward to this for a while.

[00:00:50] This is a different episode we're going to be doing tonight.

[00:00:53] We'll be live streaming the debate.

[00:00:55] We're going to be doing our best, the fact check live while also playing a drinking game.

[00:01:03] It's been news and verses to Santas.

[00:01:05] I guess it's COVID-free and versus COVID lockdown.

[00:01:08] That seems to be the whole debate.

[00:01:11] Should we get into the drinking game rules before we get started?

[00:01:15] Before this cold's live.

[00:01:16] Let me pull those up.

[00:01:20] We had to figure out to make it a little bit more fun than just watching a debate.

[00:01:24] Right.

[00:01:25] What is even this debate?

[00:01:28] So we have never had two governors that are, I mean, once running for president, but they're

[00:01:32] just debating each other just to prove a point.

[00:01:37] I guess.

[00:01:38] Well, we all know Newsom is doing this because he wants to...

[00:01:43] He's going to run for president, whether it's in 2024 or 2028 either way.

[00:01:47] We know he's going to run.

[00:01:48] It's inevitable he's going to run.

[00:01:50] We don't know if Santas is going to run again in 2028.

[00:01:54] There's a good chance he could.

[00:01:56] There's a lot of candidates who don't do it the first time around and then they come back.

[00:02:02] So I especially think because Santas is floundering a little bit right now when it comes

[00:02:08] to the presidential campaign.

[00:02:10] This is probably for him an opportunity to, I guess, jumpstart his campaign and show he

[00:02:17] can take on people like Gavin Newsom and get enough sound bites to get people excited

[00:02:22] about him again.

[00:02:27] So the rules?

[00:02:29] The rules.

[00:02:30] The rules are here.

[00:02:31] Okay.

[00:02:32] Here are the rules.

[00:02:33] We'll do our best to remind you throughout the entire podcast, our entire show.

[00:02:39] It is Newsom says Biden has put on a master class because he says that all the time about

[00:02:45] Joe Biden.

[00:02:46] Any time to Santas says woke two drinks if he says woke liberal agenda together.

[00:02:52] Newsom says California is leading the way.

[00:02:56] Every time to Santas says folks, Newsom says meet the moment or every time Trump is

[00:03:03] mentioned.

[00:03:05] As a disclaimer, please be responsible.

[00:03:10] You know, don't drink more than you should or you need to make sure you drink plenty of

[00:03:15] water and all these rules obviously mean sip.

[00:03:19] Don't chug a full drink every time it happens.

[00:03:21] Don't take a shot every time this happens.

[00:03:25] So that's our disclaimer.

[00:03:26] Be responsible.

[00:03:28] Enjoy.

[00:03:29] Have a good time.

[00:03:30] We both got our drinks.

[00:03:31] I'm going with the light.

[00:03:32] Is it cold?

[00:03:33] I'm like, is this even enough?

[00:03:35] Yeah.

[00:03:36] Well, I just bought a fresh six pack.

[00:03:38] So we'll see how far we get.

[00:03:39] Yeah.

[00:03:40] I have a real drink here.

[00:03:43] This is vodka, champ word and soda.

[00:03:47] Well, but I also have to give.

[00:03:52] I have plenty of water too.

[00:03:53] You're like the one.

[00:03:54] I can't hold you what I want.

[00:03:56] I filled up my water.

[00:03:59] All right.

[00:04:00] So everyone out there who is watching live will be also monitoring the chat.

[00:04:04] So make sure if you have anything to say while we're doing this, make sure you light up

[00:04:09] the chat.

[00:04:10] I'll be keeping an eye out on it as well as YouTube and rumble.

[00:04:15] So yeah.

[00:04:19] Who's excited?

[00:04:20] We got a couple more minutes.

[00:04:21] So these are a good chance right now to talk about the fact that we have the rest of

[00:04:25] the year planned out podcast wise while we're waiting for this whole thing to start.

[00:04:30] Shall we go into the schedule for the rest of the year for the rest of 2023?

[00:04:34] We'll be, we have it all booked up.

[00:04:38] Sure.

[00:04:39] Next week we have, remind me his name again.

[00:04:44] He's an expert in central digital currency.

[00:04:48] Joe.

[00:04:49] Joe.

[00:04:50] Okay.

[00:04:51] Yeah, we're going to be talking about.

[00:04:53] I don't even know anything about that subject, but central thinking.

[00:04:56] Yeah.

[00:04:57] A lot of people had, you know, reached out to me in messages and this is one subject that

[00:05:04] has come up a lot and not necessarily related to California, but this is always a subject

[00:05:09] that seems to be coming up.

[00:05:10] I don't all admit.

[00:05:11] I don't really know anything about it outside the fact that I just don't want the government

[00:05:15] to control our money in a centralized way.

[00:05:19] So yeah, it'll be interesting to have him on.

[00:05:24] Who do we have on the week after that?

[00:05:27] Sonia Shaw, Chino Valley school president who is making national news left and right.

[00:05:35] People love to hate her and love to love her.

[00:05:39] And then on the 19th, we're having the Christian caucus on fitting right before Christmas.

[00:05:45] The Christian caucus is a group of libertarians who have started a caucus showing that you

[00:05:52] can be Christian and libertarian.

[00:05:55] So yeah, it'll be fun.

[00:05:56] So we got the rest of the year booked up.

[00:05:58] 2024 is going to be I hope I think it's going to be just as big if not bigger.

[00:06:05] Also, also, we forgot to mention the best thing which is it's been one year since Camille

[00:06:14] has been co-host of the California Underground Podcast.

[00:06:17] Isn't that right?

[00:06:19] Yes, December 1st was my first co-host episode.

[00:06:23] So first one.

[00:06:29] She has made it one year and I asked her if it was everything she thought it would be

[00:06:34] if it was cracked up to be and she said no, I changed my mind.

[00:06:38] I quit.

[00:06:39] I quit.

[00:06:40] I quit.

[00:06:42] I didn't say that at all.

[00:06:44] Can I be can I say something for a moment?

[00:06:48] Awkwardly because I don't really get all emotional and snappy, but thank you.

[00:06:53] Thank you very much for letting me do this and not firing me for the last year, but

[00:06:59] I've been a stay at home mom for 18 years now.

[00:07:02] And so that means I have not been in the workplace at all.

[00:07:06] And so I'm like very behind on what's going on as far as just technology and everything.

[00:07:12] I'm like the old person who has to try to learn new things, but you know, you give

[00:07:16] me this opportunity and suddenly I'm doing things that I have it.

[00:07:20] Like I have to relearn and have like a gear letting me do graphic design and video editing

[00:07:24] and of course, I mean, another research, but there's just like, and I've certainly

[00:07:29] contacting people.

[00:07:30] I'm like having to actually go out and contact the communications directors for the different

[00:07:34] people that we're trying to have on.

[00:07:35] And so I really appreciate that suddenly I've been getting to do things again that I haven't

[00:07:40] needed to do or anything and it's like, it's just been great for me.

[00:07:44] And I love being on the podcast.

[00:07:45] I have so much fun on it.

[00:07:47] So thank you.

[00:07:48] Well, love having you on.

[00:07:50] Yeah.

[00:07:51] I don't think people understand and not to get super mushy before this all kicks off in

[00:07:57] one minute.

[00:07:58] But I don't think people realize how much work Camille does behind the scenes as well to

[00:08:03] make this podcast run smoothly and she probably kicks my ass more than anybody to keep doing

[00:08:10] what we're doing and tells me you should be posting.

[00:08:13] You should be doing this.

[00:08:15] So it's been great having you on hopefully for another year and more years after that.

[00:08:20] And so cheers for that.

[00:08:22] So I don't know how to do that.

[00:08:24] You'll start drinking yet.

[00:08:25] Well, I'm thirsty.

[00:08:26] So all right.

[00:08:27] Everyone who's watching, I see a bunch of people are hanging out in the chat.

[00:08:32] Let us know you're here.

[00:08:33] Tell us what drink you are drinking tonight.

[00:08:36] If you're drinking, if not put it in the chat, what you're drinking.

[00:08:40] And it looks like we're about to get started in about 15 seconds.

[00:08:43] So let's pull this up and both will come out and say that they're the winner and that

[00:08:54] they wiped the floor with the other.

[00:08:56] Here enough.

[00:08:57] So all right.

[00:08:58] Let's do this.

[00:08:59] Here we go.

[00:09:00] I'm welcome to Hannity and tonight we are broadcasting live just north of Atlanta,

[00:09:08] Georgia in Alphoretta, Georgia, where in just a moment we're going to hear from the

[00:09:13] Republican governor of Florida, the Democratic governor of the great state of California

[00:09:19] for what is the first ever red state blue state debate right here on the Fox News Channel.

[00:09:24] Now, we will do our best to give equal time to each governor.

[00:09:27] We will limit answers to 60 seconds per question.

[00:09:30] We'll be a little flexible as needed, let the debate breathe as needed along with a 30

[00:09:36] second time for a bottle.

[00:09:38] Let me start by introducing both Florida governor, Rhonda Santas, California governor, Gavin

[00:09:43] Newsom.

[00:09:44] Governors, thank you both for being here.

[00:09:46] Really appreciate it.

[00:09:48] I know both of you personally.

[00:09:50] I've known you both for a long time.

[00:09:52] I know you're very busy.

[00:09:54] I also know this.

[00:09:55] I know that both of you love your individual states.

[00:09:58] I know you both have a deep and abiding love for our country as I do, but where we are

[00:10:03] on the country, we've never kind of been this divided in a long time.

[00:10:07] There are clear and deep and profound differences in your approach to governance.

[00:10:13] And before we begin, one quick note to all of you that are watching at home.

[00:10:17] Okay.

[00:10:18] I'm now the longest running prime time cable host in the history cable news.

[00:10:21] I'm now, and I feel blessed in my 28th year at Fox.

[00:10:25] It's kind of widely known that I am a conservative.

[00:10:27] However, tonight I will be moderating this debate.

[00:10:30] I will not be part of the debate.

[00:10:32] Our questions tonight will be coming from.

[00:10:34] I will be gushing over Gavin Newsom as much as possible.

[00:10:37] And you will see in here most of tonight's questions will deal with the most fundamental

[00:10:42] issues, the ones that impact the lives of the people that make this country great,

[00:10:47] the people in Florida, the people in California.

[00:10:50] And in many ways every state in the country will discuss taxes, the economy and immigration

[00:10:55] crime, guns, homelessness, education, parental rights of abortion, gas prices.

[00:11:01] In other words, it's things that impact you every single day.

[00:11:04] In the end, you will get to decide which governing philosophy you believe is better.

[00:11:09] The governors will explain their governing philosophy.

[00:11:12] And again, fact-based questions.

[00:11:14] Will it get started?

[00:11:21] Just in case anyone's wondering this was is going on in Georgia.

[00:11:24] That's the neutral ground.

[00:11:26] You can see numbers on the screen right now from the years 2021 and 2022.

[00:11:31] These particular numbers are stark in the state that you lead.

[00:11:35] In the case of you, Governor Newsom, according to the US census, this is where the numbers

[00:11:39] come from.

[00:11:40] In 2021, 2022, California's lost 750,000 residents to other states.

[00:11:46] Governor DeSantis during that same two-year period, you gained 454,000 residents from

[00:11:53] other states.

[00:11:55] So governors DeSantis, we had a coin toss.

[00:11:57] I was not part of it.

[00:11:58] I missed it.

[00:11:59] But apparently Governor Newsom, you won the coin toss and you chose to let Governor DeSantis

[00:12:05] have the first question.

[00:12:06] You will get the last word tonight.

[00:12:08] So I begin with you.

[00:12:11] For Governor Newsom, I will ask what your response is on this as well.

[00:12:16] What is, it's a simple question.

[00:12:18] How do you explain this phenomenon?

[00:12:20] What's going on?

[00:12:21] When I was in the Navy, I got orders to go to Naval Enfibious-based Coronado in Southern

[00:12:27] California.

[00:12:28] I was a lifeline Florida.

[00:12:29] Shout out.

[00:12:30] See you there you go.

[00:12:31] This is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

[00:12:33] And I think California has more natural advantages than any state in the country.

[00:12:37] You almost have to try to mess California up.

[00:12:40] Yeah, that's what Gavin Newsom has done since he's been Governor.

[00:12:43] He's the first governor to ever lose population.

[00:12:46] They actually at one point ran out of ewholes in the state of California because so many people

[00:12:52] were leaving.

[00:12:53] Of course, he's imposed restrictions on his own people while exempting himself from

[00:12:57] those restrictions and going to the French laundry while his people were suffering.

[00:13:02] He led the country in school closures locking kids at a school while he had his own kids

[00:13:07] in private school in person.

[00:13:10] Now, he's very good at spinning these tails.

[00:13:13] He's good.

[00:13:14] I didn't have like a slippery.

[00:13:15] Why did I not think of French laundry as a drinking game role?

[00:13:18] The failures.

[00:13:19] But the reality is they have failed because of his leftist ideology and the choice for

[00:13:25] America is this would buy an in Harris and Newsom want to do is take the California

[00:13:31] model and do that nationally.

[00:13:33] In Florida, we showed that conservative principles work.

[00:13:35] This country must choose freedom over failure.

[00:13:40] Governor Newsom, you're right.

[00:13:41] Well, it's good to be with you, Sean.

[00:13:42] It's nice also to see in a tie as well tonight, good to be with you, Ron.

[00:13:47] And I imagine that stuff for the occasion governor.

[00:13:49] First, no, I'm impressed and I'm if I look, it's an important occasion.

[00:13:53] This is important conversation.

[00:13:55] And I think it's important the folks watching.

[00:13:57] They're probably wondering what are we actually doing here?

[00:14:02] And I want to that very direct.

[00:14:03] I'll tell you why I'm here.

[00:14:04] I'm here to tell the truth about the Biden Harris record and also compare and contrast

[00:14:10] Ron DeSantis's record in the Republican Party's record as a point of contrast.

[00:14:15] That's as different as daylight and darkness.

[00:14:18] You want to bring us back to a pre 1960s war on DeSantis so awkward.

[00:14:22] Why is Ron DeSantis so awkward?

[00:14:23] You want to roll back hard earned like his smile is just like he can't figure out whether

[00:14:28] when he needs to smile it's so.

[00:14:31] No one needs to sit down with Ron and work on this stuff with him.

[00:14:34] You want to weaponize grievance you are focusing on false separateness.

[00:14:39] You in particular, Ron are in a banning binge a cultural purge intimidating and humiliating

[00:14:45] people you disagree with you and President Trump are really trying to like democracy on fire

[00:14:51] so there are profound differences tonight.

[00:14:55] I look forward to engaging but there's one thing in closing that we have in common is

[00:15:01] neither of us will be the nominee for our party in 2024.

[00:15:06] Governor great opening statement.

[00:15:08] It did not a question.

[00:15:09] I mean, I think it's the issue.

[00:15:11] Can you explain this migration out of California?

[00:15:14] For those who didn't catch it, President Trump was mentioned so you have to drink.

[00:15:18] You can't say that.

[00:15:21] The Californians going to Florida.

[00:15:22] I put up on the list by the way that's going to be fun to fact check so we'll just start

[00:15:26] right there.

[00:15:27] California has no peers.

[00:15:29] California dominates size of 21 state populations combined.

[00:15:33] So fifth largest economy in the world, we dominate number one manufacturing state.

[00:15:37] We dominate in two-way trade and research and development access innovation more.

[00:15:50] It's the birthplace of life science and biotech and nanotechnology.

[00:15:54] We dominate green tech.

[00:15:56] We dominate in high tech.

[00:15:57] We dominate in artificial intelligence.

[00:15:59] So with respect, I think it's an interesting campaign strategy for around a Santos to be

[00:16:04] bashing a state of 40 million Americans when California simply has no peers.

[00:16:10] That's a pretty slick way of not answering your question.

[00:16:13] He went on a binge of putting out a lot of left wing latitudes.

[00:16:16] Here's what I would say.

[00:16:17] I talked a lot of the people that had moved from California to Florida and we never used

[00:16:20] to get people from California to Florida or really anywhere in these because why would

[00:16:24] you leave California?

[00:16:25] It's got the best weather, great natural quality.

[00:16:27] Excuse me, sir.

[00:16:28] But one of the things that I did, I had a...

[00:16:31] I'm not going to let the debate be.

[00:16:36] But it's his turn.

[00:16:37] Let's take turns.

[00:16:38] So I was talking to a fella who had made the move from California to Florida.

[00:16:43] He was telling me that Florida is much better govern, safer, better budget, lower taxes,

[00:16:48] all this stuff.

[00:16:49] He's really happy with the quality of life.

[00:16:51] And then he paused and he said, you know, by the way, I'm Gavin Newsom's father-in-law.

[00:16:55] So we do count Gavin's in-laws as some of the people that have fled California and come

[00:17:01] to the state of Florida.

[00:17:03] And why are we getting people to come?

[00:17:05] We have a 50 year loan, the crime rate.

[00:17:08] We don't pay in the last 20 years.

[00:17:15] We've had a 40% increase in the state of California.

[00:17:28] We break the internet.

[00:17:29] Say, and they're like, we want to thank you for standing for law enforcement because

[00:17:34] we don't get that support in the state of California.

[00:17:37] So people understand quality of life matters.

[00:17:40] They understand that Florida is doing it right and I can tell you the numbers speak for

[00:17:44] themselves.

[00:17:45] We have way more people to the state than leaving.

[00:17:47] Gavin can't say the opposite.

[00:17:49] More people are leaving California than are moving in the California.

[00:17:52] Let me bring out the California and the other way around last year's.

[00:17:54] Let's talk about crime.

[00:17:55] I think this is-

[00:17:57] Wait a minute.

[00:17:58] Hold on a second.

[00:17:59] He said a lot of things were factually and true, including that 50 year crime law which

[00:18:04] is on law enforcement, 20-18 should not be using.

[00:18:07] You have yet to address the issue but I asked you twice.

[00:18:10] You don't want to answer it.

[00:18:11] But the issue of why the migration out of red states- I'm sorry, out of blue states-

[00:18:15] We just established more Florinians coming to California in the last 20 years than the

[00:18:19] whole world.

[00:18:20] You want to end that law?

[00:18:21] You just established it.

[00:18:22] You just asserted it.

[00:18:23] No, it's not.

[00:18:24] Moving on, let's go.

[00:18:26] Your states have vastly different income tax rates.

[00:18:29] Okay.

[00:18:30] It is what it is.

[00:18:31] These are the facts.

[00:18:32] California's highest rate for top earners 13 percent.

[00:18:36] Married couple for example, in California earning a medium income of 84,000 they have a 6%

[00:18:42] income tax in the state of California.

[00:18:45] Florida's income tax rate is 0% across all salaries but it goes beyond income taxes.

[00:18:51] Property taxes are lower in California but everything else is higher.

[00:18:55] Let's take a look at the numbers.

[00:18:56] These are the facts.

[00:18:57] The average property tax in California 0.75 percent, Florida 0.91 percent, sales tax

[00:19:03] California.

[00:19:04] And I'd like to just point out before Gavin Newsom goes into a thing about how property

[00:19:08] tax and then all evens out based on the numbers.

[00:19:12] The only reason property tax is better in California is because of Prop 13 which Democrats

[00:19:19] and Gavin News have been trying to overturn for decades now because the Howard Jarvis

[00:19:23] Institute put it together.

[00:19:25] So before he tries to say well, even at our property tax because it's lower in Bop-Bop-Bop-Bop-Bop.

[00:19:32] So this is a very different approach and I agree with you completely.

[00:19:39] He is one of the most aggressive tax rates in the United States America.

[00:19:41] It's number three most aggressive state in America and what that means is simply this.

[00:19:47] Who does he tax?

[00:19:48] He taxes low income workers more than we tax millionaires and billionaires in the state

[00:19:53] of California.

[00:19:54] The question is a simple one.

[00:19:56] Who, Ron, are you four?

[00:19:58] It's a factual lie that the state of California has high tax has a highest tax rate but for whom

[00:20:04] and it's a foundational and fundamental difference.

[00:20:07] You look at states like Texas overwhelming majority of Texans pay more taxes than the

[00:20:13] state of California.

[00:20:14] So again, it's who you're for and I think those values matter and I appreciate you bringing

[00:20:19] up the issue of taxes.

[00:20:20] How many people leave Florida to go to California because they pay less taxes?

[00:20:25] I've not seen that.

[00:20:27] People going to from Florida to New York because they pay less taxes of course not.

[00:20:30] They come to Florida because they pay lower taxes.

[00:20:33] We don't even have an income tax and yet California has a higher sales tax than we do and that's

[00:20:38] one of the things that we do but here's the thing and I'll give Gavin credit he did at

[00:20:42] least admit his first answer.

[00:20:44] He's joined at the hip with Biden and Harris.

[00:20:47] He thinks Biden and Harris have done a great job.

[00:20:49] He thinks the economy is working because of their policies for Americans and they are

[00:20:54] not.

[00:20:55] And so what California represents is the Biden-Harris agenda on steroids.

[00:20:59] They would love nothing more than to get four more years to be able to take the California

[00:21:03] model nationally.

[00:21:04] That will be disastrous for working people in the country.

[00:21:06] Well let's talk about working people.

[00:21:07] They pay more and your state than the state of California charges for billionaires and

[00:21:11] millionaires and it's just a value proposition.

[00:21:13] It's a fact again you can't make you have six or seven year-old or a gallon gas.

[00:21:18] How do they afford that?

[00:21:20] These are folks that are blue collar people.

[00:21:21] You're going to force everybody to buy an electric vehicle.

[00:21:25] How are they going to be able to afford electric vehicles if you're working class people

[00:21:28] and I think the thing about California, they have one of the highest inequality rates because

[00:21:33] yeah they've got Silicon Valley billionaires.

[00:21:35] They've got a lot of very wealthy people.

[00:21:37] They've got a lot of people that are on government assistance but they've hollowed out their middle

[00:21:41] class.

[00:21:42] That's who's been living in California.

[00:21:43] They've been leaving another place as they go to Arizona.

[00:21:46] They go to Nevada.

[00:21:47] I do have a hollow.

[00:21:48] I do have a hollow.

[00:21:49] I'm happy that you continue to talk.

[00:21:50] Let's talk a little bit about biodynamics because I'm happy to take that on right now as

[00:21:57] well and I think it's a fair point.

[00:21:59] You're a big quarter of it.

[00:22:00] I appreciate you acknowledge that.

[00:22:01] 14 million jobs, 10 times more than the last Republican presidents combined.

[00:22:05] Because he had 115,000.

[00:22:06] Because that's the jobs were because of the COVID-19.

[00:22:10] 3.9% are you kidding?

[00:22:12] 3.9% unemployment is it continues to talk over me.

[00:22:15] I'll talk to the American people.

[00:22:17] 3.9% unemployment, the lowest black unemployment in American history, the lowest unemployment

[00:22:21] for Hispanics in American history, the lowest unemployment for women in 70 years, the lowest

[00:22:26] black poverty rates in history.

[00:22:29] That's this administration agenda and by the way as you smile and smirk over there, you

[00:22:34] should know this, the American people.

[00:22:36] Here's a guy who's celebrated by the economics just this week celebrating $28 million that

[00:22:41] came into your state because of the Chips and Science Act, one of the most significant economic

[00:22:46] plans since FDR.

[00:22:47] I'm proud of the work Biden and Harris have done.

[00:22:50] Would you like to respond?

[00:22:51] And I do have a follow up, the 6% rate on people, families, couple in California, they

[00:22:58] pay 6% income tax on $84,000.

[00:23:01] Low wage workers in the state of Florida pay more than that.

[00:23:05] I don't ask about Florida.

[00:23:07] We are 30.

[00:23:09] But here's the estimated cost of spending.

[00:23:11] Let me ask the question.

[00:23:13] The man who cover first.

[00:23:14] Right, I'm not answering that one.

[00:23:16] Okay.

[00:23:17] California has lower taxes, lower than 32 states for working families in the middle class,

[00:23:24] significantly lower taxes and places like Texas.

[00:23:27] You support a 6% income tax.

[00:23:28] I'm a couple of people.

[00:23:29] I'm a great person.

[00:23:30] I'm a dress of taxes that advantage billionaires and millionaires over working families in

[00:23:36] the working poor.

[00:23:37] People in his state pay more taxes in the low end than we tax people on the high.

[00:23:43] That's $7.

[00:23:44] How does paying $7.

[00:23:45] Gas helps working people.

[00:23:47] That doesn't help working people at all.

[00:23:49] How does paying an 8% sales tax help working people?

[00:23:53] That doesn't help working people at all.

[00:23:55] They have the highest taxes in the nation.

[00:23:57] People flee to be able to save money to get out of California and you have working class

[00:24:02] people that move to these other states, their dollars go much further.

[00:24:06] But here's the thing.

[00:24:07] They want to take this Bidenomics and they want to double down on this for the next

[00:24:11] four years.

[00:24:12] How many people are able to afford groceries now compared to what you were doing three

[00:24:16] or four years ago?

[00:24:17] I talked to people.

[00:24:18] You know, I talked to a woman who had a card full of groceries going in and they're

[00:24:23] ringing it up.

[00:24:24] And it got to be so expensive she has to take a lot of the stuff out that didn't use

[00:24:29] to be the case.

[00:24:30] People used to be able to work hard and get ahead.

[00:24:32] That is not true under Joe Biden.

[00:24:34] And you know what Sean, one more final thing.

[00:24:37] California's unemployment rate is 60% higher than Florida's unemployment rate.

[00:24:42] Our unemployment rate is 2.8%.

[00:24:44] There's a 4.8% question, Governor.

[00:24:47] Because it's a command and control economy.

[00:24:49] They have a political agenda that they're pursuing.

[00:24:52] Let me ask that question people on the question of jobs.

[00:24:55] I think it's important.

[00:24:56] You know what?

[00:24:57] That affects that.

[00:24:58] That affects our Biden administration last three years.

[00:25:01] Joe Biden, saying he's a nice master class.

[00:25:05] It's important, but it's about the United States.

[00:25:08] It's America.

[00:25:09] I thought this guy was running for President of the United States.

[00:25:10] I knew he was going to say it sooner or later.

[00:25:15] I will say I don't think this is one area that this is why I think this is important.

[00:25:22] It's because we know he's going to run for president eventually, Gavin Newsom.

[00:25:27] And I don't think he looked good on that whole taxing issue.

[00:25:30] He tried to explain it in a way where he fudged the numbers.

[00:25:36] But I think most people will watch that and go, I don't believe for a second that California's

[00:25:41] better taxation than Florida.

[00:25:44] So that's one issue he's going to have to, when he does eventually run for president's

[00:25:47] guess, do a better job of trying to say it, but he did not look good on that exchange.

[00:25:53] Did you say folks?

[00:25:57] Oh boy.

[00:26:00] How it's ramping up?

[00:26:01] You guys actually want us to succeed in Florida.

[00:26:03] And they feel like when they're in California, they don't want business to succeed.

[00:26:07] That's the Tampa Bay race.

[00:26:09] Well, actually, yeah, I think that's an interesting point with Disney because inexplicably for

[00:26:21] over a year, you are not following science.

[00:26:24] You were a lockdown governor.

[00:26:26] You did a lot of damage to your people.

[00:26:28] You had more kids locked out of school for a longer period of time in California than anywhere

[00:26:33] else in the country.

[00:26:34] It was the working class kids.

[00:26:35] It was the middle income kids.

[00:26:37] His kids were in private school.

[00:26:38] They were in class.

[00:26:39] He was the teachers union.

[00:26:43] You're going to be his own by the teachers union.

[00:26:46] You will never cross the teachers union.

[00:26:47] This is just a lot of highlights.

[00:26:48] Lock, stock and bear.

[00:26:49] Let's talk about COVID.

[00:26:50] Let's talk about your record on COVID.

[00:26:52] You passed an emergency declaration before the state of California did.

[00:26:56] You closed down your beaches, your bars, your restaurants.

[00:26:58] You said fact.

[00:26:59] You had quarantines.

[00:27:00] You had quarantines.

[00:27:01] You had checkpoints all over the state of Florida.

[00:27:05] By the way, I didn't say that Donald Trump laid you out on this.

[00:27:08] Dead to right.

[00:27:09] You did that.

[00:27:10] You followed science.

[00:27:11] You followed science.

[00:27:12] You followed science.

[00:27:13] You followed.

[00:27:14] You followed.

[00:27:15] You were promoting.

[00:27:16] You were promoting vaccines.

[00:27:17] You were promoting vaccines.

[00:27:18] You even wore a mask.

[00:27:19] We were open.

[00:27:20] You were closed.

[00:27:21] If it's okay with you, we'll do this.

[00:27:23] Why were you closed?

[00:27:24] I'm not going to let a brief.

[00:27:26] He did all of that until he decided to fall prey to the fringe of his party.

[00:27:31] And as a consequence of that, Ron, tens of thousands of people lost their lives.

[00:27:44] Not true.

[00:27:45] The equivalent if I had your policies, the equivalent of 10 9 11s, tens of thousands of people lost

[00:27:51] their lives.

[00:27:52] And for what, Ron?

[00:27:53] Those are more lies.

[00:27:54] In fact, the Lancet just did a study.

[00:27:56] Florida had a lower standardized COVID death rate than California did.

[00:28:01] That's a land study.

[00:28:02] Let me get one more thing.

[00:28:03] One more thing.

[00:28:04] The other thing we had.

[00:28:05] The other thing California had.

[00:28:06] California had higher mortality than California.

[00:28:10] Gentlemen, gentlemen, let me talk about access now.

[00:28:13] I got it real quick.

[00:28:14] You guys hold on a second.

[00:28:15] I want to ask you both if slow down.

[00:28:18] I want everyone to be heard.

[00:28:19] If I can ask you.

[00:28:20] I really do want this to breathe.

[00:28:22] I want this debate to breathe.

[00:28:23] I want it to organically develop.

[00:28:26] To do that, I need both the cooperation.

[00:28:28] I don't want to be a home monitor.

[00:28:29] It's not my style.

[00:28:30] All right?

[00:28:31] You mentioned COVID.

[00:28:32] Let me go to COVID.

[00:28:34] And I plan to bring this up later.

[00:28:36] But you both took very different approaches as it comes to COVID.

[00:28:39] Governor Newsom, you issued the nation's first stay at home order on March 19th of 2020.

[00:28:45] Governor DeSantis, you took a lot of heat for reopening schools.

[00:28:49] You opened schools in Florida in August of 2020.

[00:28:52] All right, so here's the data which I think is important.

[00:28:54] This is where the facts come in.

[00:28:56] Your state's death rates were almost identical.

[00:28:59] This is factually untrue.

[00:29:00] I hold on.

[00:29:01] Actually untrue.

[00:29:02] OK.

[00:29:03] And by the way, both your state was actually untrue.

[00:29:06] The CDC is factually untrue.

[00:29:07] It was pretty fascinating.

[00:29:08] We're both lower significantly lower than the national average.

[00:29:12] These numbers come straight from the CDC.

[00:29:15] So Governor Newsom, how do you explain that?

[00:29:18] That's per capita death rates.

[00:29:20] In the state of Florida, we're 29% percent.

[00:29:23] 29% per capita higher.

[00:29:26] 29%?

[00:29:27] Not with the stout state right there.

[00:29:29] 10s of thousands of people are necessarily about it.

[00:29:32] Keep put the graphic up there.

[00:29:33] Don't lie about it.

[00:29:34] Not necessarily about it because your policy is understated.

[00:29:37] You're lying about it.

[00:29:38] Now it's not.

[00:29:39] You were a lockdown guy.

[00:29:40] You locked it.

[00:29:41] I wanted to talk to Governor Newsom.

[00:29:42] I'm finishing his thoughts on his bars and restaurants.

[00:29:44] I don't get someone explain this move by.

[00:29:48] Ron, why he's putting his hands on his hips like this.

[00:29:52] He can't fit.

[00:29:53] He's like rural for all and anger man.

[00:29:54] He's like, I can't figure out what to do with my hands.

[00:29:57] The state of Florida versus the state of California.

[00:29:59] That's the response governor.

[00:30:01] You said this is the stats.

[00:30:02] That's very clear.

[00:30:03] On a per capita age adjusted basis,

[00:30:05] California and Florida basically the same.

[00:30:07] Now why is that important?

[00:30:08] Because Gavin Newsom did huge damage to people in California.

[00:30:12] He ruined livelihoods.

[00:30:14] We reopened the state very quickly.

[00:30:17] We saved thousands of jobs.

[00:30:19] We saved hundreds of thousands of jobs.

[00:30:21] Thousands of businesses.

[00:30:22] We had our kids in school.

[00:30:24] He had the kids locked out of school

[00:30:25] because of the teachers union.

[00:30:27] That is having a generational impact.

[00:30:30] California has one of the lowest literacy rates in the country.

[00:30:33] And the most recent NAF exam, Florida came in number three

[00:30:36] for fourth grade reading.

[00:30:37] California was far, far behind.

[00:30:39] So you should apologize for not getting your kids in school.

[00:30:42] Why didn't you get the kids in school

[00:30:44] in the summer of 2020?

[00:30:46] Like we did.

[00:30:46] Only person.

[00:30:47] You didn't do the job you shot.

[00:30:50] The only person.

[00:30:51] The only person is Ron DeSantis,

[00:30:56] but tens of thousands of lives that died unnecessarily

[00:31:00] because he played to the fringe of his party.

[00:31:03] We got to take a break and fast finish our thought.

[00:31:05] No, and when it comes to the issue of schools,

[00:31:07] you better be careful.

[00:31:08] You had more learning loss during COVID

[00:31:10] than the national average in the state of California without.

[00:31:13] It's a fact.

[00:31:14] More learning loss.

[00:31:15] You're a tsunami contracted more than 20,000.

[00:31:18] So false.

[00:31:19] It's been slower than California in 2021.

[00:31:21] More to come on this top.

[00:31:23] More to come on this debate.

[00:31:25] Because I know it's starting off next segment.

[00:31:27] I guess.

[00:31:28] It's a lot worse than rather dollars as it has to start.

[00:31:31] All right.

[00:31:33] Well, we know first off that he's full of crap

[00:31:36] when it comes to the learning loss

[00:31:37] because California suffered some of the worst learning loss.

[00:31:40] And you would know more about that than anybody, right?

[00:31:44] He loves to say his stuff again.

[00:31:46] Just say it's a fact.

[00:31:47] It's a fact.

[00:31:48] It doesn't make it a fact just because you say it's a fact.

[00:31:51] No.

[00:31:53] And I was reading that what is it?

[00:31:55] California is 39th in education right now.

[00:32:00] No, I was lower.

[00:32:04] Well, according to Cal matters, let's see.

[00:32:07] They put out some helpful graphs and everything like that.

[00:32:11] Um, and I were in the middle of watching commercials.

[00:32:16] That's one of the chat if you're in the chat.

[00:32:18] Say hi.

[00:32:20] Tell us who you're drinking.

[00:32:21] Tell us where you're drinking.

[00:32:22] Who do you think is doing better right now?

[00:32:24] Say what's up?

[00:32:26] Thank you for joining us on a little bit earlier than usual.

[00:32:30] But because of the debate we had to start a little bit earlier,

[00:32:34] let's see.

[00:32:36] I have this.

[00:32:37] I was literally just looking at this morning.

[00:32:41] Um, oh, education on the test score front California

[00:32:48] will act slightly behind Florida in reading a math.

[00:32:51] But both states are near the national average.

[00:32:53] California spends significantly more per student 16,000,

[00:32:56] 300 dollars per year than Florida,

[00:32:58] which is near the bottom at $11,000 and 800.

[00:33:01] So they spend less and they actually do better than California.

[00:33:07] Uh, yeah, I saw somewhere that said they were 39th in test scores.

[00:33:12] So.

[00:33:13] Oh, yeah, absolutely.

[00:33:17] It's not not great.

[00:33:18] I mean, for him to brag about California leading the way.

[00:33:22] Well, much money that we pour into education here.

[00:33:25] Yeah.

[00:33:26] Can we talk about how Ron just looks so uncomfortably awkward?

[00:33:31] Like he just looks like his suit doesn't fit him

[00:33:33] and like he just can't wait to go home and change.

[00:33:37] Yeah, it's surprising for the amount of money

[00:33:40] he's raised for himself that he doesn't have anyone

[00:33:43] who just like a coach to teach him like, okay, Ron.

[00:33:48] Yeah, just like anybody be like this is how you stand at a podium.

[00:33:51] This is what you do.

[00:33:52] Here's your movements.

[00:33:54] Like Gavin, I will give him credit.

[00:33:56] We've said this before he's a very slick politician.

[00:33:58] He's got the movement down.

[00:33:59] He knows the hand gestures and all that stuff.

[00:34:02] He looks cool, common collected up there.

[00:34:04] Yeah, DeSantis just kind of looks like he doesn't know.

[00:34:06] Do I put my hands on my hips?

[00:34:08] Do I put one hand in my hip?

[00:34:09] Do I do this?

[00:34:10] Do I do that?

[00:34:12] Yeah, he just can't figure it out.

[00:34:13] And then like he's smiling.

[00:34:15] Like he thinks he's on camera.

[00:34:16] So we smile.

[00:34:16] It's it's cringed.

[00:34:19] So.

[00:34:21] But I think he's doing better.

[00:34:23] I would say it's interesting because when he's on the debate stage

[00:34:27] with like all the other Republicans,

[00:34:30] he doesn't seem to be shining as much.

[00:34:34] Yeah, he kind of stays out of it.

[00:34:38] But I think here he's doing a much better job.

[00:34:42] He just kind of the one on one rather than trying

[00:34:45] to outshine other people.

[00:34:50] So I you know, let's go.

[00:34:52] I think it's pretty interesting so far.

[00:34:54] They haven't really gotten,

[00:34:55] they started yelling at each other a little bit.

[00:34:57] So we're only half an hour in.

[00:35:01] Couple drinking rules already broached.

[00:35:03] So not too bad so far.

[00:35:07] Donald Trump was mentioned twice,

[00:35:11] which I was expecting that they were going to do.

[00:35:15] Trying to get one of my feet to bring me up blanket

[00:35:17] because I'm freezing.

[00:35:20] I'm big.

[00:35:21] Blanket break.

[00:35:22] But yeah, you can skip this out.

[00:35:29] Oh I can skip the ad.

[00:35:32] Just to get another one.

[00:35:33] It just to get to another red.

[00:35:43] So everyone who's still out there in the chat

[00:35:45] if you're still with us,

[00:35:46] yeah, it looks like everyone's kind of hanging in there.

[00:35:48] That's good.

[00:35:49] So half an hour and people haven't abandoned us yet.

[00:35:53] Yeah, let us know what you think so far.

[00:35:54] What people are,

[00:35:55] you know, whether you think

[00:35:57] DeSantis is doing better or Newsom

[00:36:00] or let us know your thoughts.

[00:36:03] What you're drinking stuff like that.

[00:36:06] So

[00:36:08] she made the

[00:36:09] he didn't believe it.

[00:36:10] He didn't plug in and we're back to Hannity

[00:36:14] as we continue our blue state red state debate

[00:36:16] with Governor Gavin Newsom and Governor Ron DeSantis

[00:36:19] gentlemen, let's move on to the issue of borders.

[00:36:21] Joe Biden's message to illegal immigrants

[00:36:23] during his campaign was let them come.

[00:36:26] I'd have the tape, but I said I wouldn't play the tape.

[00:36:29] And since taking office,

[00:36:30] Biden said he's gotten control of the border

[00:36:33] by his president, Kamala Harris,

[00:36:36] Homeland Security Secretary,

[00:36:37] New Yorkers, Biden's press secretary,

[00:36:39] Karin Jean Pierre have all said

[00:36:42] the border is either secure

[00:36:43] or the border is closed.

[00:36:45] Yet the border patrol says,

[00:36:46] well guess what?

[00:36:47] They have been a record 6.5 million encounters

[00:36:51] with illegal immigrants and so called the silent seekers

[00:36:54] at the border since president Biden took office.

[00:36:56] The administration says,

[00:36:58] well, they don't know how many people actually

[00:36:59] are in the country illegally.

[00:37:01] Gentlemen, the American people, I ask you,

[00:37:04] I believe it's your turn, Governor Newsom,

[00:37:07] have the American people on the issue of borders

[00:37:10] you're defending the Biden administration.

[00:37:12] They're saying the border is secure.

[00:37:14] They're saying the border is closed.

[00:37:15] Those are the numbers for what a patrol.

[00:37:18] The American people being lied to.

[00:37:21] I think they're being lied to.

[00:37:23] Biden administration put out a comprehensive plan,

[00:37:25] day one when he got sworn into office three years ago

[00:37:28] and the Republican party didn't touch it.

[00:37:30] They haven't moved on it.

[00:37:31] They play politics with us.

[00:37:33] And I'll be honest with you,

[00:37:34] I think there's probably one person

[00:37:36] I wouldn't listen to on this topic more than the guy

[00:37:38] that I'm standing next to Ron DeSantis.

[00:37:40] He is absolutely, he lacks any credibility

[00:37:43] on the issue of immigration.

[00:37:44] When he was in Congress, he supported amnesty.

[00:37:48] When he's in Congress, you supported John Vayner's bill

[00:37:50] to fact when you were in Congress,

[00:37:52] you supported I killed Bob Vayner's bill.

[00:37:54] You supported Obama's efforts

[00:37:56] to advance comprehensive reform.

[00:37:59] The last guy you want to talk to on the immigration,

[00:38:02] your immigration policy can best be described

[00:38:04] as a governor from the state of Florida

[00:38:07] going into another state, the state of Texas,

[00:38:10] lying to migrants, promising them jobs and housing

[00:38:14] sending them to an island, Martha's Vineyard

[00:38:17] and then sending them to a parking lot

[00:38:19] in Sacramento, California.

[00:38:21] I met with those migrants that you lied to under false pretence.

[00:38:25] That kind of leadership using human beings as ponds

[00:38:30] I think is disqualifying.

[00:38:32] So again, a guy who stands here

[00:38:35] who's been out on the Republican debate stage

[00:38:37] saying, well he's gonna be tough,

[00:38:38] he's gonna shoot people with backpacks

[00:38:40] and that he has a strategy to potentially invade

[00:38:44] I thought the Martha's Vineyard thing was hilarious personally.

[00:38:47] So it really exposed

[00:38:53] what's that?

[00:38:57] That's the issue.

[00:38:59] Yeah, then we don't even know

[00:39:00] what was happening to the homeless people in San Francisco.

[00:39:04] Yeah, I'll be once they get onto homelessness

[00:39:07] I feel like that's Ron could really open up on homelessness.

[00:39:11] They are lying to you.

[00:39:12] We know that that's not true.

[00:39:14] Gavin Newsom is lying to you when he says,

[00:39:16] somehow I supported these things which I didn't do

[00:39:19] he's also lying to you about what it's gonna take

[00:39:22] to solve this problem.

[00:39:23] California's a sanctuary state.

[00:39:25] They thumb their nose at federal immigration law

[00:39:28] and this has real consequences.

[00:39:30] There was any legal alien Herbert Nixon Flores

[00:39:33] who was in LA, in Custody, it was a repeat criminal.

[00:39:37] I just wanted to take him into Custody

[00:39:39] because then they would be able to deport him.

[00:39:41] LA refuses to work with ICE

[00:39:43] and so they wouldn't turn him over.

[00:39:45] They end up releasing him on the street.

[00:39:47] He ends up murdering the mother of a three year old little girl.

[00:39:52] That those policies are deadly.

[00:39:55] They do not work.

[00:39:56] And I'll tell you this,

[00:39:58] the Martha's Vineyard transport,

[00:40:00] Martha's Vineyard said it was a sanctuary jurisdiction.

[00:40:02] It kind of reminds me about Gavin Newsom

[00:40:05] when he restricted Californians

[00:40:06] than he went to the French laundry.

[00:40:08] These liberal elites, they like to impose burdens on you.

[00:40:12] They don't want to have to face the consequences of their actions.

[00:40:14] So we've got a lot of elites who want open borders

[00:40:17] who lecture everybody else about it

[00:40:19] and the minute they have to deal with any of the consequences,

[00:40:22] oh man, all hell breaks loose.

[00:40:23] How about the other side?

[00:40:24] I'm not going to move on.

[00:40:25] We're moving on to the next question.

[00:40:27] We'd be much better on the same topic.

[00:40:29] On the same topic, this is important.

[00:40:31] This is a very important question.

[00:40:33] While some migrants I don't want to come to America

[00:40:36] for a better life for themselves and their families

[00:40:38] to find the American dream, I totally sympathize with them.

[00:40:42] Many good people fleeing very bad situations are broad.

[00:40:45] But others are abusing the asylum process

[00:40:49] and in the process in...

[00:41:00] To know vetting or people that are coming in,

[00:41:02] they're not being vetted.

[00:41:03] Look at these numbers between October 2021,

[00:41:06] October 2023, border agents encounter 6,386 nationals

[00:41:11] from Afghanistan, 3,153 from Egypt,

[00:41:16] 659 from Iran, the number one state sponsor of terror,

[00:41:21] 538 from Syria, 12,605 from Russia

[00:41:26] and a whopping 26,113 from China.

[00:41:31] Now my question, the next question goes to you, Governor Newsom,

[00:41:35] what are the odds that Biden's open borders have allowed terrorists

[00:41:40] and terror cells unvetted into this country?

[00:41:44] Is that a clear and present danger to every American?

[00:41:46] The odds are 100 percent.

[00:41:48] Of course our enemies are going to take advantage of this.

[00:41:51] He opened the border, he's not...

[00:41:53] He's violating his oath of office

[00:41:55] to take care that the laws are faithfully executed.

[00:41:57] He's knowingly having 8 million come in.

[00:41:59] And yes, there's criminal aliens, there are terrorists,

[00:42:02] there's a lot of fentanyl that we've had tens of thousands

[00:42:05] of fentanyl deaths.

[00:42:06] I've met a lot of angel parents who have lost kids

[00:42:11] to fentanyl overdose and the problem is,

[00:42:14] you'll have a high account...

[00:42:15] That's something that this anters should be pressing Newsom on.

[00:42:19] And then how much fentanyl crosses the border through California?

[00:42:23] Because there's a ton.

[00:42:26] For those who don't remember, we did a whole episode on it.

[00:42:29] So go back and check it out.

[00:42:31] In, of Biden, Harris, Newsom, open borders,

[00:42:36] American suffer and Americans continue to die because of fentanyl overdose.

[00:42:40] There will be unfortunately a terrorist attack at some point

[00:42:43] that we'll be able to trace back to our southern side.

[00:42:45] This is just for the...

[00:42:46] By the way, do you see that risk?

[00:42:48] Hold on, hold on.

[00:42:49] Do you see the risk?

[00:42:50] Joe Biden put out not only a conference of planning,

[00:42:53] he consistently puts up plans.

[00:42:54] Hold on, have a shot.

[00:42:55] I'm going to answer your question.

[00:42:58] I support border security.

[00:43:00] I think the asylum system is broken.

[00:43:02] I believe that we understand that.

[00:43:03] I'm the only guy here.

[00:43:05] It's a border state governor.

[00:43:06] You're trolling folk to find migrants to play political games,

[00:43:10] try to get some news and tension so you can out-Trump Trump.

[00:43:13] And by the way, how's that going for you, Ron?

[00:43:15] You're down 41 points in your own home state.

[00:43:20] On the issue of immigration...

[00:43:21] Trump again.

[00:43:22] Joe Biden put a 14 billion dollar immigration package up

[00:43:25] in front of Congress, 2300 border agents

[00:43:28] as well as custom officials, 1,000 new law enforcement officers

[00:43:32] to deal with a fentanyl issue.

[00:43:33] And by the way, that's a major issue in your state.

[00:43:35] 41% higher overdose rates than the state of California.

[00:43:39] And here's what I haven't heard.

[00:43:41] Not a peep from Ron DeSantis.

[00:43:43] They want to demagoguish this issue.

[00:43:44] You want to play politics with this issue?

[00:43:45] You don't want to solve this issue.

[00:43:47] Why don't you lead your part of it or not?

[00:43:49] And support that 14 billion dollar immigration package.

[00:43:51] Hold on. I have a follow-up.

[00:43:52] Governor Newsom, I appreciate your answer.

[00:43:55] You have mentioned comprehensive immigration reform many times.

[00:43:58] Does that happen under Joe Biden?

[00:43:59] I don't think it's going to happen next year.

[00:44:01] You put a detailed plan in the public.

[00:44:02] But let me Congress refuse to act on it.

[00:44:04] Let me finish my comment.

[00:44:06] Congress.

[00:44:14] Our main is this a clear and present danger

[00:44:18] from the countries I put up on the screen.

[00:44:20] Is that a clear and present danger to America?

[00:44:22] And what are you doing?

[00:44:24] That's why the president of the United States

[00:44:26] put a 14 billion dollar package in front of Congress.

[00:44:29] They can act on today.

[00:44:31] And what would they have done anything to package this?

[00:44:33] What do you mean?

[00:44:34] What do you mean by a single piece in support of the federal legislation?

[00:44:37] I support the 14 billion dollar package presidents put forward.

[00:44:40] That includes 2,300 border agents and customs officials.

[00:44:43] By the way, also includes $850 million in new technology

[00:44:47] for border security.

[00:44:48] You hear nothing from Ron DeSantis.

[00:44:50] You hear nothing.

[00:44:51] Sean, respectfully.

[00:44:52] You hear nothing from the Republican Party.

[00:44:54] They play politics with this time.

[00:44:55] I'm almost out of time.

[00:44:56] Put forward the break.

[00:44:58] To address.

[00:44:58] Does it worry you?

[00:44:59] Let me ask a question another way.

[00:45:01] Does it worry you that our top geopolitical foes,

[00:45:04] the number one state sponsor of terror around, China, Russia,

[00:45:10] Afghanistan, Syria, that they're our southern border.

[00:45:14] You're a border state governor.

[00:45:15] Is that concern you at all?

[00:45:17] The same way I've put the answers.

[00:45:19] Yes, why else would I put a national guard?

[00:45:21] Why would I just increase it by 50% on the largest port

[00:45:25] in the Western hemisphere in my state?

[00:45:28] 50%.

[00:45:29] 50%.

[00:45:30] Whooo!

[00:45:31] And the state of fact, he said it.

[00:45:33] He said it.

[00:45:34] That's a lot.

[00:45:35] For those who don't remember, well, 50%.

[00:45:39] When he says 50%, what was it?

[00:45:41] There were like four on the border and he sent two more.

[00:45:46] So that's 50%.

[00:45:48] Yes, so he sent two more national guards.

[00:45:51] He loves to throw that stator out of that.

[00:45:53] He increased national guard at California border by 50%

[00:45:58] by two people.

[00:45:59] 44 miles border in California.

[00:46:05] Two more national guardsmen.

[00:46:07] But it sounds good when you say 50%.

[00:46:10] It sounds really good.

[00:46:11] The state is failing.

[00:46:12] People are leaving his state and he's trying to run interference

[00:46:15] for his failure.

[00:46:16] We've got to take our second break.

[00:46:20] When we come back, we have a lot more ground to cover.

[00:46:23] Quick break, we have a lot of ground to cover.

[00:46:25] More with governors, DeSantis and Newsom, the great blue red

[00:46:29] state debate as we continue from Alfredo, Georgia.

[00:46:32] Again, thank you for being with us.

[00:46:40] OK, thoughts on the second part?

[00:46:43] I'll film it now.

[00:46:47] OK, so border, another thing that I think Newsom absolutely

[00:46:52] loses on hard to argue there.

[00:46:57] But he did put 50% more national guard on the border.

[00:47:00] He put two more national guardsmen.

[00:47:03] So one thing he goes down history for when

[00:47:06] he increased the national guard by 50%.

[00:47:11] Again, I think bronze handling himself much better

[00:47:16] than he does in the Republican National debate.

[00:47:18] So if your goal as Ron DeSantis tonight

[00:47:22] is to revive your campaign and show you can actually

[00:47:26] stand toe to toe with a Democrat,

[00:47:29] and I think Newsom is a much harder debate opponent

[00:47:32] than Joe Biden would be.

[00:47:35] I think he's succeeding right now.

[00:47:37] But I think you could probably take Vivek Ramaswamy

[00:47:40] or Nikki Haley and all of them would be,

[00:47:45] they could all debate Newsom right now.

[00:47:48] Of course, Nikki Haley would be trying to figure out

[00:47:50] how she can squeeze going to war into the debate.

[00:47:52] But I'm actually surprised to see him.

[00:47:57] So he hasn't declared war on California actually.

[00:48:01] Ken, yeah, just a new civil war.

[00:48:04] Florida is just going to declare war in California.

[00:48:06] I've never seen the border war.

[00:48:10] Yeah, I think he's done a very good job.

[00:48:12] I don't know if Sean Hannity also is.

[00:48:18] I think he's fair enough.

[00:48:20] I think he's tougher on Newsom than he is on DeSantis,

[00:48:24] which is expected.

[00:48:26] He is conservative leaning.

[00:48:29] I mean, I just feel like he doesn't have as many pointed

[00:48:32] questions towards DeSantis as he does for Newsom.

[00:48:35] I feel like all the graphics are like,

[00:48:37] look, California is sucked on this.

[00:48:40] Your response, Gavin Newsom.

[00:48:41] OK, your state sucked on this.

[00:48:43] Why?

[00:48:46] What are your thoughts?

[00:48:46] So I was looking at some other thing.

[00:48:50] Kevin Kylie, a friend of the show,

[00:48:53] Congressman Kevin Kylie is live fact checking

[00:48:58] on his tweets right now.

[00:49:00] So some of them that he said one was Newsom claims

[00:49:04] tens of thousands of lives died unnecessarily

[00:49:06] because of Florida's COVID policies.

[00:49:08] In fact, excess mortality for California, Florida

[00:49:11] was the same between 2020 and 2022 despite California having

[00:49:15] the benefit of a much younger population.

[00:49:17] So if you take into account, and that's

[00:49:20] a lot something that a lot of people don't really

[00:49:23] don't always talk about is the fact

[00:49:24] that yeah, Florida has a much older population, which

[00:49:27] was more susceptible to COVID.

[00:49:30] And since their numbers were basically the same,

[00:49:33] that boasts well for Florida.

[00:49:36] He also says Newsom accuses DeSantis

[00:49:37] of shutting down schools according to a Borbio's tracker.

[00:49:41] I don't know who Borbio is.

[00:49:42] Florida was third out of 50 in reopening schools.

[00:49:45] California was 50 out of 50.

[00:49:48] So this is another interesting one.

[00:49:53] Newsom claims the working class pays lower taxes

[00:49:55] in California than in Florida.

[00:49:57] In fact, total taxes are 10,167 per person in California.

[00:50:02] It's 5,406 in Florida.

[00:50:04] California is the third highest cost

[00:50:06] of living in the country.

[00:50:07] California has the highest gas prices in the country.

[00:50:10] California is the highest real poverty rate in the country.

[00:50:14] And California had the lowest wage growth

[00:50:16] in the country last year.

[00:50:20] So if you are looking for more fact check, head over

[00:50:23] to Kevin Kylie's page.

[00:50:25] He is doing live fact.

[00:50:27] Actually he hasn't done a fact check in 11 minutes.

[00:50:30] So but doing our best to fact check as much as possible.

[00:50:36] I didn't think the Trump thing I threw in at the last minute

[00:50:40] for the drinking rules.

[00:50:41] Because I was like, he's going to get mentioned once or twice.

[00:50:44] But so far that's the biggest rule

[00:50:46] that has been violated so far as Trump being mentioned.

[00:50:52] Any comments?

[00:50:54] Any comments that was watching on YouTube and Rumble thoughts?

[00:51:00] Yeah, let us know your thoughts.

[00:51:02] Unless you're watching this at the comfort of your couch

[00:51:06] and watching on TV.

[00:51:08] Thank you for watching on TV.

[00:51:10] It's not easy.

[00:51:11] I don't think you can you chat on TV.

[00:51:13] I don't think you can.

[00:51:14] So please don't turn me into that.

[00:51:17] Anyway, let's look at the issue of crime.

[00:51:21] FBI numbers violent crime nationally for each of your states.

[00:51:25] Keep in mind this statistic shows what

[00:51:27] is the combined rate of homicide, rape, robbery,

[00:51:31] aggravated assault the year 2022.

[00:51:34] On the national level, the rate was 380.7 offenses

[00:51:39] per 100,000 people in California meanwhile.

[00:51:42] The rate was much higher.

[00:51:43] 499.5 offenses per 100.9.

[00:51:46] See again.

[00:51:47] In Florida, lower.

[00:51:48] Nothing against Sean.

[00:51:50] It's these graphics are leading the witness right now.

[00:51:55] So I'm not trying to defend Newsom.

[00:51:57] I'm just pointing out that Sean is putting up graphics

[00:52:00] that definitely benefit to San Francisco.

[00:52:02] It's a prerequisite for the pursuit of happiness.

[00:52:04] Well, I couldn't agree with you more.

[00:52:05] We're near 50 year lows down 55% violent crimes

[00:52:08] in the state of California from the 1990s.

[00:52:10] And I want to compare and contrast that with the issue in Florida

[00:52:13] that you didn't mention.

[00:52:14] And that's the murder rate.

[00:52:16] Let's broaden it more broadly.

[00:52:17] The issue is seven on the top.

[00:52:19] Number 10.

[00:52:20] Number 10.

[00:52:21] Number 7 of the top 10 murder rates

[00:52:22] in the United States, America, states.

[00:52:24] He has a 66% higher gun death rate

[00:52:28] than the state of California is a higher murder rate.

[00:52:31] Go to places like Jacksonville.

[00:52:32] Go to places like Orlando.

[00:52:34] Go to places like Tampa.

[00:52:36] The murder rates off the charts

[00:52:37] compared to cities like San Francisco.

[00:52:41] And you know what, even more gregiously Sean

[00:52:43] and I think this is important.

[00:52:44] America people deserve an answer from you, Ron.

[00:52:47] You had one of the worst mass shootings

[00:52:49] in American history, Parkland.

[00:52:50] 17 kids were gunned down, lives lost.

[00:52:53] 17 others, lives torn a sunder.

[00:52:56] You had a young girl by the name of Jamie Gutenberg

[00:52:59] who's father pleaded with you to do something about it.

[00:53:03] And you know what?

[00:53:03] He did the exact opposite.

[00:53:05] You made it easier for felons to get guns

[00:53:07] without background checks, without any training.

[00:53:11] These people pleaded with the parents and the families

[00:53:13] to get tough on gun safety.

[00:53:15] And again, you made it easier for felons.

[00:53:18] Okay, so quick fact check.

[00:53:20] I agree with them.

[00:53:22] In 2021, the last year for which Florida statistics

[00:53:25] are available, the statewide homicide rate

[00:53:27] was 6.7 per 100,000 people in California in 2021.

[00:53:31] And it was 6 people per 100,000 in 2022

[00:53:35] is down to 5.7% or 5.7% per 100,000.

[00:53:40] The overall training in California, however,

[00:53:42] was not good between 2017 and 2022.

[00:53:45] The homicide rate was up 24%.

[00:53:48] So this is the slick politician you put up the rates.

[00:53:52] He has 500 per 100,000.

[00:53:54] Florida is 250.

[00:53:56] So that's almost twice as much.

[00:53:58] And he's trying to spin that to say California's doing good.

[00:54:01] People are leaving California in drove largely

[00:54:04] because public safety has collapsed.

[00:54:08] They have, I mean, you go, when California's come to Florida

[00:54:11] one of the things they'll say it's almost like an out of body

[00:54:13] experience, they can go to the store, get tooth paste off

[00:54:16] the shelf, pay for it and leave because in a lot of these places

[00:54:19] in California, everything's under lock and key

[00:54:21] because they basically legalize retail theft.

[00:54:24] They have chosen in California to put

[00:54:26] the interests of the criminals over public safety.

[00:54:31] They treat their easier on sex offenders.

[00:54:34] They're easier on all these crimes that

[00:54:36] are leading to a collapse in the quality of life.

[00:54:39] And if you just walk around San Francisco, you will see.

[00:54:43] And I think it's interesting.

[00:54:44] Gavin Newsom was mayor of San Francisco.

[00:54:46] So he took the San Francisco model, turn that into a 10.

[00:54:57] Hello, wait, I got a new suspect.

[00:54:59] Hold on a minute, hold on a minute.

[00:55:00] I got a call order.

[00:55:01] You brought in Bill Ford, the governor of San Francisco

[00:55:05] was 126% higher.

[00:55:07] Governor, let me bring up.

[00:55:09] It's 84%.

[00:55:10] The next question, Doug tells it to us.

[00:55:11] It's 75% higher.

[00:55:13] What?

[00:55:14] What do you also say?

[00:55:15] What are you talking about when it comes to?

[00:55:17] I know you're like a jambber.

[00:55:18] I know you're like, you're uncomfortable.

[00:55:22] He puts you just put the stuff his sticks up there.

[00:55:25] Those are all your crimes.

[00:55:26] We know you're trying to write.

[00:55:28] Gentlemen, gentlemen, what are you doing?

[00:55:30] I'm going to move on.

[00:55:31] Gun murder rate in your state.

[00:55:32] Let the audience look at the numbers.

[00:55:35] The FBI numbers are decided.

[00:55:36] To the according to the gun control advocacy group,

[00:55:40] every town for gun safety.

[00:55:43] OK.

[00:55:44] California has the most, as you support, I know,

[00:55:47] governor, restrictive gun laws in the United States.

[00:55:50] Florida has the 19th most restrictive.

[00:55:54] Yet if you look at the year 2019, when each of you

[00:55:57] took office, California has had 21 mass shootings.

[00:56:01] Florida has had nine.

[00:56:03] Now that is according to a USA Today,

[00:56:06] AP, Northeastern University database data.

[00:56:12] Keep in mind a mass killing is defined

[00:56:14] as the intentional killing of four or more victims,

[00:56:18] excluding the deaths of unborn children

[00:56:21] and the offenders by any means within the 24 period of time.

[00:56:26] I believe governor DeSantis, you get this first.

[00:56:28] What California wants to do is they

[00:56:30] want to make it harder for law-abiding citizens

[00:56:32] that defend themselves than they go easy

[00:56:35] on the criminals who are perpetrating the crime.

[00:56:37] They don't stand up for the men and women of law enforcement.

[00:56:40] That's why a lot of people have left the state

[00:56:42] because they don't get the support from the communities

[00:56:44] that they need.

[00:56:45] And Gavin told another lie.

[00:56:47] He said we made it easier for felons to do.

[00:56:50] Felons are not allowed to possess firearms.

[00:56:53] That's federal law.

[00:56:54] That's been long.

[00:56:54] No background.

[00:56:55] That is an absolute lie that he's saying like that.

[00:56:59] That has nothing to do with lying or purchasing a weapon.

[00:57:02] So that's just the lie.

[00:57:03] Another lie that's coming up.

[00:57:04] But here's the thing, people are leaving California

[00:57:07] in droves because he has failed to stand up for public safety.

[00:57:11] They are on an ideological point.

[00:57:13] I'm pretty sure to let people out of prison

[00:57:15] and again, I'm almost 99% sure when I go to purchase a gun,

[00:57:20] you have to get a federal background check.

[00:57:23] So I'm pretty sure that's federal law

[00:57:25] that you have to get a background check.

[00:57:26] So that's not up to the states to really decide.

[00:57:29] You're able to go shopping because otherwise,

[00:57:31] they're going to be in the chat once the clarify

[00:57:33] or let me know.

[00:57:34] Even people are facing in California.

[00:57:36] Gavin can try to put lipstick on that pig.

[00:57:39] But the fact of the matter is he has failed

[00:57:41] the people of California.

[00:57:42] I love this guy talking about backing the blue

[00:57:44] when you dangled pardons for January 6 and correctionist,

[00:57:48] 85 of them that were literally

[00:57:51] were charged with attacking law enforcement.

[00:57:55] You talk a big game about backing the blue,

[00:57:57] with all due respect to the crime rate.

[00:57:58] Again, he's not answering the fact that he has a higher murder rate

[00:58:01] than the state of California.

[00:58:02] 66% higher gun death rate than the state of California.

[00:58:06] And I can easily answer this point.

[00:58:08] Guns saves lives.

[00:58:09] I don't think it.

[00:58:10] I know it.

[00:58:11] And the data bears that out in the state of California.

[00:58:13] California proudly does lead in terms

[00:58:16] of common sense gun safety.

[00:58:17] Common sense gun safety saves lives.

[00:58:19] You had the chance to do something meaningful.

[00:58:21] You had the chance to do something on behalf of those parkland families.

[00:58:24] You did the exact opposite.

[00:58:25] You moved in the exact opposite direction with all due respect.

[00:58:28] Look at your own backyard, Rod.

[00:58:31] So I'm not your backyard on this issue.

[00:58:33] I will do that because we have some of the,

[00:58:35] we had two radical left sorrows district attorneys

[00:58:38] like your buddy Gascona and LA.

[00:58:40] One in Tampa, one in Orlando.

[00:58:41] They were endangering the public.

[00:58:43] And I removed them from their posts.

[00:58:45] Gavin Newsom has not lifted a finger

[00:58:47] to rein in Gascona and LA.

[00:58:50] That city has collapsed, that county's collapsed.

[00:58:52] Don't go down the stone and force the wall.

[00:58:55] So that's the great American city.

[00:58:57] This is what's happening.

[00:58:58] That California model.

[00:58:59] We're a little bit high.

[00:59:00] I'm going to fill a delphia.

[00:59:01] 15 more.

[00:59:01] 15 seconds.

[00:59:02] We got to go break.

[00:59:03] Come on.

[00:59:04] You were running for President of the United States.

[00:59:06] You're talking down the Great State of California.

[00:59:08] You're talking down one of the great American cities, Los Angeles.

[00:59:10] That's insulting.

[00:59:11] And you're doing it because you're trying

[00:59:13] to obfuscate the facts that you have a higher murder rate

[00:59:16] in the state of Florida, in the state of California.

[00:59:17] We got to send the lowest crime rates

[00:59:19] we've had in the city.

[00:59:20] One of the great American cities.

[00:59:22] How dare you besmirch?

[00:59:24] The other side as we continue to get the state debate

[00:59:26] of Los Angeles.

[00:59:28] How are we any differences?

[00:59:29] A lot of ground to cover.

[00:59:30] Thank you for being with us.

[00:59:31] We are in beautiful, outwards.

[00:59:41] How dare?

[00:59:43] How dare you, sir?

[00:59:44] Why did he get so offended?

[00:59:49] Funny because you're in Santa Eucaly.

[00:59:51] I'm in Orange County.

[00:59:53] And we're really friends.

[00:59:55] It also nice to be like, hey, there's

[00:59:57] the event that we should all go to in Los Angeles.

[00:59:59] And you're like, we're not going to Los Angeles.

[01:00:01] Come here.

[01:00:03] Are you kidding me?

[01:00:04] I'm in Orange County.

[01:00:05] I mean, I was thinking you said that to me.

[01:00:06] You're like, LA is not a thing.

[01:00:07] We're not going there.

[01:00:10] It's the one.

[01:00:12] I think that's why Orange County and San Diego get along so well.

[01:00:16] Because we both just hate LA.

[01:00:19] So how dare you besmirch?

[01:00:23] What are the great American cities?

[01:00:24] Los Angeles.

[01:00:28] And a lot of our keywords.

[01:00:29] So we're all still alive.

[01:00:31] We should all still be sober.

[01:00:32] Yeah, everyone should be pretty sober right now.

[01:00:36] I mean, just for outside of Trump,

[01:00:38] that's all that it really is they said.

[01:00:40] Disantis, and sorry, Newseme truly is so good at deflecting.

[01:00:46] Like that is like his.

[01:00:48] Yeah, he's very good at it.

[01:00:50] Yeah, go ahead.

[01:00:51] Very good at it.

[01:00:52] And I mean, even when they just sat there

[01:00:53] and debunked the fact that Flora's crime rates

[01:00:56] are and murder rates are lower than California's,

[01:00:59] he still will just go back to it.

[01:01:00] You're not addressing the fact that your state is

[01:01:04] and it's like, well, we did just address it

[01:01:06] and we said that that's not true.

[01:01:07] And we moved on, but then he just goes right back to that.

[01:01:12] Yeah, yeah.

[01:01:13] He'd be like even when they were showing the grass

[01:01:17] from like the CDC or the FBI or the Justice Department,

[01:01:20] they'd be like he would deflect it into something else.

[01:01:25] But he that's part of his thing is he's

[01:01:27] a very slick politician.

[01:01:31] And because of that, he gets away with it's tougher, I think.

[01:01:36] When you see the data in front of you

[01:01:38] and you see that it's the CDC and the FBI

[01:01:42] and the Department of Justice, it's kind of hard

[01:01:44] to argue those facts.

[01:01:47] And then they showed that fact that was what

[01:01:49] was it?

[01:01:50] More mass shootings have taken place in California

[01:01:52] than have actually taken place in Florida.

[01:01:55] So.

[01:01:56] Right.

[01:01:57] He just wanted to keep calling out the one

[01:02:00] and the Johnsonville one.

[01:02:01] And to Santa's going to easily just

[01:02:04] been like, well, what about this one?

[01:02:05] Like, just.

[01:02:08] Well, that's also like I think that's

[01:02:10] like the Democrats kind of or I don't know

[01:02:14] where actually we put it into place, but that's just

[01:02:16] how the law is.

[01:02:18] What's it?

[01:02:19] Three or more people if there's three or more people

[01:02:21] who are shot, it's a mass shooting for people.

[01:02:25] So if you really want to kind of compare

[01:02:29] like something on a, I mean, mass shooting for four people,

[01:02:34] not to downplay it.

[01:02:36] But I feel like when you say like, oh, mass shooting,

[01:02:39] you think of Parkland, you think of the Sandy Hooker,

[01:02:42] you think of those like those are mass shootings.

[01:02:45] But then when you think of like, oh,

[01:02:46] a mass shooting is also four or more people,

[01:02:50] it kind of gets confusing as to what really

[01:02:51] is a mass shooting.

[01:02:52] So maybe they need to change what the definition

[01:02:55] of a mass shooting is.

[01:02:58] And then we could see in reality, what is a mass shooting?

[01:03:02] But yeah, it's surprising that California

[01:03:06] who has common sense gun laws and requires background checks

[01:03:10] as every, every firearm dealer does require a background

[01:03:15] check.

[01:03:16] They still had more mass shootings than Florida.

[01:03:21] Did you see a lot of people with us?

[01:03:23] Thank you to everyone who is tuning in and joining us.

[01:03:27] We're more than halfway.

[01:03:29] We've made it more than halfway already.

[01:03:32] Looks like we'll have a half an hour left.

[01:03:37] Again, I think it is a little too on one.

[01:03:39] I'm just gonna admit, it's too on one right now.

[01:03:41] It's very much Sean Hannity puts out a graph that is

[01:03:45] California bad, Newson defended to Sanctus get the layup.

[01:03:50] So...

[01:03:51] Well, Newson has to literally face the facts in this debate.

[01:03:55] Usually they don't have that.

[01:03:57] Usually we're like...

[01:04:00] Like Hannity, I guess we're not going on Hannity before.

[01:04:02] He's let Newson do his interviews and doesn't even fact check him.

[01:04:05] And he just smiles and nods and moves on.

[01:04:07] It's like new, some flying, lying, lying.

[01:04:09] Now he's got facts in front of him.

[01:04:11] Yeah, he usually does those interviews

[01:04:13] and he's gushing all over him.

[01:04:14] So...

[01:04:16] But yeah, it's hard to argue against facts that are from...

[01:04:21] What they would call reputable sources, FBI CDC.

[01:04:25] It's not like it's like a Fox News poll or something.

[01:04:27] So...

[01:04:37] Okay, before we go into this next section,

[01:04:40] just a reminder, the drinking rules are.

[01:04:44] Every time Newson says Biden has put on a masterclass,

[01:04:49] every time DeSantis says,

[01:04:51] he's woke, two Sips or two drinks.

[01:04:54] If he says woke liberal, gender together,

[01:04:57] every time Newson says we need to meet the moment,

[01:05:01] every time DeSantis says, folks,

[01:05:03] there's one more on missing.

[01:05:05] Leading away.

[01:05:06] Leading away, every time Newson says leading the way

[01:05:09] and every time Trump is mentioned.

[01:05:11] So those are the rules I want to say that

[01:05:13] because we're entering a subject

[01:05:15] that looks like DeSantis might say,

[01:05:17] well, it wasn't a genus to do the basics

[01:05:19] and what we've said in Florida is it's inappropriate

[01:05:22] to tell a kindergartener that their gender is a choice.

[01:05:25] It's inappropriate to tell second grader

[01:05:27] that they may have been born in the wrong body.

[01:05:28] Now, California has that.

[01:05:30] They want to have that injected into the elementary school.

[01:05:33] My wife and I have a seven, five and a three-year-old,

[01:05:36] we don't think that that's appropriate.

[01:05:37] I know most parents do not think it's appropriate.

[01:05:40] It's also important to respect parental rights

[01:05:42] to know what curriculum is being used in the classroom

[01:05:46] and everything should be age-appropriate.

[01:05:47] I actually have something that I brought

[01:05:49] that some parents have objected to.

[01:05:51] So this is a book that's in some of the schools

[01:05:53] in California, Florida.

[01:05:54] This is not consistent with our standards

[01:05:55] called gender queer.

[01:05:57] Some of it's blocked out.

[01:05:58] You would not probably be able to put this out there.

[01:06:00] This is pornography.

[01:06:01] It's cartoons, it's aimed at children and it's wrong.

[01:06:04] So this should not be in schools

[01:06:07] when people like on the left say

[01:06:09] that somehow you're banning books by removing this

[01:06:12] from a young kid's classroom.

[01:06:14] No, this is not age-appropriate.

[01:06:16] And so we're going to stand for the rights of parents.

[01:06:18] I think we need to do that nationwide.

[01:06:19] I don't think you can have a situation

[01:06:21] where some states just trample on the rights of parents.

[01:06:24] Parents have a fundamental right

[01:06:26] to direct the education and upbringing of their kids.

[01:06:28] By the way, you've been on a banning bench.

[01:06:30] 1,406 books have been banned

[01:06:33] just last year on around the census leadership.

[01:06:36] I love that he keeps pulling this out.

[01:06:37] I've seen this.

[01:06:38] He's been doing this all over Camp Pantry.

[01:06:39] What's wrong with Tony Morrison's books?

[01:06:41] It's not banned.

[01:06:42] What's wrong?

[01:06:43] It's not true.

[01:06:43] What's wrong with the man of Gorman's?

[01:06:45] Not banned.

[01:06:45] The poetry 1,400 insurgents.

[01:06:48] 1,466 books have been banned on your banning bench

[01:06:53] in the state of Florida's.

[01:06:55] It relates to parental rights.

[01:06:56] Come on.

[01:06:57] California is in our constitutional parental engagement.

[01:06:59] It's called the LCFF process.

[01:07:01] We actually require parental engagement

[01:07:03] on curriculum development

[01:07:05] and we don't comply with our rules.

[01:07:07] We don't require care.

[01:07:08] We're moved to a great section of the library

[01:07:11] for the middle school or some elementary school.

[01:07:13] That people like the fans.

[01:07:15] So they banned with all due respect?

[01:07:19] Elementary school kids, memoridian.

[01:07:21] But they don't come back.

[01:07:22] In 1770s we had a bill called the Briggs Initiative

[01:07:25] and there was a guy by the name of Ronald Reagan

[01:07:27] so offended by the Briggs Initiative

[01:07:28] which was the original Don't Say Gay Bill.

[01:07:30] In that case it was not allowing teachers

[01:07:32] that happened to be gay to teach.

[01:07:33] And Reagan had the courage to stand up

[01:07:36] and he said you can't catch gay like you can measles.

[01:07:39] I don't like the way you demean people

[01:07:40] but I don't like the way you demean the LGBTQ community.

[01:07:43] I don't like the way you demean

[01:07:45] and humiliate people you disagree with Ron.

[01:07:47] I already find this fundamentally offensive

[01:07:49] and this is a core value that distinguishes

[01:07:52] the values of my state

[01:07:54] and frankly the vast majority of Americans

[01:07:56] against the weaponization of education.

[01:07:59] Okay, I'm sorry.

[01:08:00] What?

[01:08:01] I have a follow up on the agenda though.

[01:08:03] In what world does Newsom have any authority

[01:08:08] to say that's a rondisantis.

[01:08:12] That's all Newsom does is demean

[01:08:14] and insult people who disagree with them.

[01:08:17] Oh, if you voted for Trump, you're a terrorist,

[01:08:19] you're an insurrectionist, you're a bigot,

[01:08:21] you're a racist.

[01:08:22] Bring to them.

[01:08:24] I come on are you serious?

[01:08:27] How many times did he demean

[01:08:31] and insult people during COVID

[01:08:33] who didn't agree with his lockdowns

[01:08:35] or anything like that

[01:08:36] or didn't want to take the vaccine?

[01:08:38] So I always find it funny when he says,

[01:08:41] I get so angry that you demean people.

[01:08:45] That's all Newsom does on Twitter

[01:08:47] is demean other people and people who disagree with them.

[01:08:49] Those books do you believe that's appropriate

[01:08:52] for school districts to teach kids yes or no?

[01:08:54] Come on, that's not part of the curriculum.

[01:08:56] They're not teaching those or that.

[01:08:58] That was our books that were in the hold on.

[01:09:00] Hold on.

[01:09:01] Did anybody have Sean Hannity saying

[01:09:02] how to masturbate on their bigot card?

[01:09:05] 1,406 books, 3,362 in this country.

[01:09:10] And the answer is what about those books?

[01:09:12] That's not we don't provide for kids

[01:09:15] through third grade education.

[01:09:17] That kind of curriculum, it's just made up.

[01:09:19] These guys make it up.

[01:09:20] It's part of this cultural purge.

[01:09:22] Should it be a one-grade gym?

[01:09:24] A great would it be?

[01:09:24] What I find but what I find offensive,

[01:09:26] Sean and Ron, what I find offensive

[01:09:28] is the very significant number of these books

[01:09:31] happen to be LGBTQ books.

[01:09:33] A significant number of these books

[01:09:35] happen to be around African-Americans.

[01:09:37] Do you think it's a lot of safe fight?

[01:09:38] I told you we don't teach that.

[01:09:40] We don't teach that.

[01:09:42] We have sex education in middle schools

[01:09:44] and high schools where it's appropriate.

[01:09:46] This is a ginned up made up issue to divide this country.

[01:09:49] You talk about dividing this country.

[01:09:51] This is part of the culture

[01:09:52] where the weaponization of grievance.

[01:09:54] This is part using educate.

[01:09:55] We're focusing on math science.

[01:09:57] We're focusing on reimagining our school system.

[01:10:00] We're going to get the education.

[01:10:01] He's criminalizing teachers and criminalizing life.

[01:10:03] I'm sorry, I checked out the law.

[01:10:05] Are you serious?

[01:10:06] To impose a liberal agenda.

[01:10:08] Social justice, they have this ethnic studies

[01:10:10] where they're dividing people.

[01:10:12] That's what they're doing.

[01:10:13] But let me just say some about parents rights

[01:10:14] because he says California respects parents rights.

[01:10:16] This is rich.

[01:10:17] He's been telling a lot of whoppers tonight.

[01:10:19] This may be the thing that we do.

[01:10:20] I feel like that's worth a drink.

[01:10:21] He said liberal agenda.

[01:10:22] I feel like our new hamster, South Carolina.

[01:10:25] Your minor child can go to California

[01:10:29] without your knowledge or without your consent

[01:10:32] and get hormone therapy, puberty blockers

[01:10:34] in a sex change operation all without you knowing

[01:10:38] or consenting.

[01:10:39] How in the heck is that honoring parents rights

[01:10:43] when you're bringing people from out of state

[01:10:45] to go around their parents' backs

[01:10:47] and getting life altering surgeries?

[01:10:49] That is radical.

[01:10:50] That is a small, unparanced right.

[01:10:54] You know what, not for you to decide.

[01:10:56] It's for the parents to decide.

[01:10:58] And the parents do not want to survive.

[01:11:00] Going to these other things.

[01:11:02] Let me follow up.

[01:11:04] Let me stay on a follow up.

[01:11:05] Let's turn to the issue of education.

[01:11:07] Decency and humanity.

[01:11:08] Embrace the of taking,

[01:11:10] ripping somebody away.

[01:11:11] Gentlemen, gentlemen.

[01:11:12] No one can take anybody can hear you.

[01:11:15] That is wrong.

[01:11:16] That is wrong.

[01:11:17] All right.

[01:11:18] It's not the end of this country.

[01:11:19] Let us turn gentlemen, if I may, to the issue of education.

[01:11:25] Here is public school spending per K through 12 students

[01:11:29] according to the education data initiative

[01:11:32] from the US Census Bureau and National Center for Education.

[01:11:36] Florida spends nearly $12,000 per student

[01:11:39] while California spends over $16,000.

[01:11:42] Florida is ranked number one

[01:11:44] by US News of World Report

[01:11:47] in terms of state education rankings.

[01:11:49] California ranks 20th.

[01:11:51] Governor Newsom, what is your explanation?

[01:11:54] You spend more money.

[01:11:55] Damn, that's pretty good.

[01:11:57] That's better results in Florida.

[01:11:58] Why?

[01:11:58] Because I told you what I'm doing in public education.

[01:12:00] We created a brand new grade pre-K for all.

[01:12:02] We're doing after school and summer school for all.

[01:12:04] We're reimagining the school day, not just the school year.

[01:12:08] We just provided 3.4 million of our students

[01:12:11] upwards of $2 billion for child savings accounts.

[01:12:14] What we're doing in education is we're teaching...

[01:12:18] We're school because...

[01:12:19] Well, teaching elementary kids out of the master bedroom.

[01:12:22] In 20th.

[01:12:23] And again, you need to be in the bathroom.

[01:12:24] So we're doing more school.

[01:12:26] More school.

[01:12:27] We're creating...

[01:12:29] We're spending time to create more school.

[01:12:31] Less family time.

[01:12:32] Less family time.

[01:12:34] More school.

[01:12:34] More time.

[01:12:35] That government school.

[01:12:36] During COVID in every one of those categories,

[01:12:38] I can't wait to get all the politics tonight

[01:12:41] because Ron, you keep denying some basic fundamental facts

[01:12:44] on health, wealth and education.

[01:12:47] We outperformed you during COVID.

[01:12:49] You talk about things to apologize.

[01:12:50] You should apologize for your COVID record.

[01:12:53] You are with Fauci.

[01:12:54] You align with vaccines.

[01:12:55] You align with CDC guidelines until you didn't.

[01:12:58] In tens of thousands of people.

[01:13:00] Let's return on focus to education.

[01:13:02] Well, we open the schools.

[01:13:03] We bucked all of those people June of 2020.

[01:13:06] He kept the schools closed for a long time

[01:13:08] and had a devastating impact.

[01:13:10] And why?

[01:13:11] Gavin Newsom does in California

[01:13:13] is cow-tow to the teachers union.

[01:13:16] Whatever they tell him to do, he does.

[01:13:19] He will never block the teachers union.

[01:13:21] That's why the kids were locked out of school for so long.

[01:13:23] Joe Biden is in the pocket of the teachers union.

[01:13:26] And so is Kamala Harris.

[01:13:27] That's why they fought for the school opening

[01:13:29] where it's when he came in there.

[01:13:31] When they had that run, it's Kamala.

[01:13:33] Kamala, and he brought in the teacher union to be able

[01:13:37] to do all these different things

[01:13:38] to try to keep the schools closed.

[01:13:40] So the Democratic Party, the far left in this country,

[01:13:43] they are on you.

[01:13:45] Locked stock and barrel by the teachers union.

[01:13:47] How dare you?

[01:13:48] The teachers union in Florida

[01:13:49] to get the schools open first in the country during COVID.

[01:13:52] Also to do universal school choice.

[01:13:54] Every parent in Florida has a right

[01:13:55] to send their kid to the school of their choice.

[01:13:58] We're winning these fights.

[01:13:59] California is bending the need of the union

[01:14:02] because they control the power.

[01:14:03] Let's move on.

[01:14:04] That's a topic that will seemingly play a very large role

[01:14:07] in the future elections, and it's the issue of abortion.

[01:14:10] I have a question for both of you.

[01:14:13] I'll ask you if the police respect the individuals

[01:14:16] right to answer uninterrupted.

[01:14:18] And that is Governor DeSantis.

[01:14:21] I think it's actually your turn, Governor Newsom,

[01:14:23] if you don't mind.

[01:14:24] All good.

[01:14:25] Most medical professionals believe a baby is viable.

[01:14:29] Outside of a mother's womb by between 24 and 26 weeks.

[01:14:33] That is the general scientific consensus.

[01:14:35] It changes.

[01:14:35] There are some variations on it.

[01:14:37] Abortion is legal in your state.

[01:14:39] Poet up to viability is my understanding.

[01:14:41] Unless the mother's health is in danger.

[01:14:44] I'd like to get you on the record.

[01:14:47] You've been unwilling to answer this question.

[01:14:50] Do you should there be any restrictions on the issue

[01:14:54] of abortion that you support at all?

[01:14:58] Because funding in California,

[01:15:00] you have allocated.

[01:15:01] I doubt he's going to do it now.

[01:15:03] 65 million for abortion last year alone.

[01:15:06] My question, very specific.

[01:15:08] Do you support any restrictions at all?

[01:15:11] Abortion, especially in months, seven, eight and nine.

[01:15:15] Pass viability.

[01:15:16] I'm going to answer that question, but let's talk

[01:15:18] about the issue of abortion.

[01:15:19] Let's talk about the issue.

[01:15:20] I'm going to answer.

[01:15:21] I'm going to answer that question there.

[01:15:22] I'll repeat that, but I think this is important and it bears

[01:15:25] repeating.

[01:15:26] Ron DeSantis is signed the most extreme anti abortion bills in

[01:15:30] America.

[01:15:31] He signed a bill banning any exceptions for rape and incest.

[01:15:36] And then he said it didn't go far enough and decided to sign

[01:15:39] a six week ban before women even know their pregnant Ron

[01:15:44] before women can even access a doctor's apartment.

[01:15:47] Deflected is your ban that criminalizes women and criminalizes

[01:15:53] doctor that even Donald Trump said it was too extreme on the

[01:15:58] issue of the extreme exception that you highlight as it relates

[01:16:03] to the issue of later term abortion, it's almost always

[01:16:06] because the fetal anomaly, the life of the mother.

[01:16:09] And in those rare cases, I trust and answer your question.

[01:16:13] I trust the mother and her doctor.

[01:16:15] Camille is just taking a drink because she can't take it anymore.

[01:16:18] If a woman and her doctor,

[01:16:20] oh, good call.

[01:16:21] A friendly reason.

[01:16:22] I thought you were just like, I can't take its deflections

[01:16:24] anymore.

[01:16:25] I'm just going to start drinking.

[01:16:26] You guys are going, Sean.

[01:16:27] You're even amazing with this whole issue.

[01:16:29] I watch your, I watch where you guys have to cover for the

[01:16:32] should dream should there be abortion agenda, Ron?

[01:16:35] Should there be, would you support a ban on abortion in seven,

[01:16:40] eight or ninth month?

[01:16:42] If the mother's life is not in jeopardy.

[01:16:45] Extreme, extreme exception.

[01:16:47] People aren't going on and having abortion should be illegal.

[01:16:50] That's something that's rare.

[01:16:52] Should it be up to the mother and her doctor and her conscious

[01:16:57] and it all answer always.

[01:16:58] I've already answered it.

[01:17:00] I'll just reinforce it to cover up again.

[01:17:03] Hold on for the most extreme abortion banic culture.

[01:17:06] I have a simple question though.

[01:17:07] This is important.

[01:17:07] No, no, no, I'm asking the question.

[01:17:09] Will you or will you not sign a six week ban?

[01:17:12] Okay.

[01:17:12] Unlike the case, let's talk about national bed.

[01:17:15] Let's talk about your state.

[01:17:16] You had 15 weeks.

[01:17:19] You had a 15 week rule in California.

[01:17:22] You reduced it to six.

[01:17:24] My question is this.

[01:17:26] What was your thinking behind it?

[01:17:28] Was it for religious reasons?

[01:17:30] Was it for he won't answer that but you haven't answered that?

[01:17:34] Reason for you.

[01:17:36] He did not go in from 15 weeks.

[01:17:38] Did he answer?

[01:17:40] Did he give an answer on whether he would ban it in 70th or on?

[01:17:43] You're accounts when everybody has an opportunity to do well.

[01:17:47] And that bill attaches when there's a detectable heartbeat

[01:17:51] for the child and some states have done that,

[01:17:54] some states have done, other some states have done later.

[01:17:57] And obviously they have a right to do that.

[01:17:59] But I think about one of our Floridian's

[01:18:01] a lady named Penny Hopper.

[01:18:03] She actually survived the late term abortion back in the day

[01:18:07] and they left her on the table there to basically with her away.

[01:18:12] Her grandmother came, saved her, brought her to a hospital,

[01:18:16] brought her saved her and she ended up living a good life.

[01:18:20] So she counts and she matters.

[01:18:22] And I think that what the position that we have

[01:18:25] from the modern left including in California

[01:18:29] is that they will take your tax dollars

[01:18:31] and they will fund abortion all the way to the moment of birth.

[01:18:35] He's wrong when he says that the later terms are all because

[01:18:38] of this 88% past 15 weeks are in fact elective from the Florida data.

[01:18:43] He doesn't keep data there, but that is really extreme

[01:18:46] to take your tax dollars and to do this all the way up

[01:18:50] to the moment of birth.

[01:18:51] He didn't answer your question about any type of protections

[01:18:55] at all for a baby that has a beating heart

[01:18:58] that can feel pain there is viable.

[01:19:00] Let me leave all but he's not respectfully.

[01:19:02] This is an important conversation.

[01:19:04] Will you or will you not support a national broad

[01:19:07] and why are you and will you not support a national band?

[01:19:11] If I answer on your desk, you couldn't answer that in any other kind.

[01:19:15] Okay.

[01:19:15] I'm going to say this is moving on to the next issue.

[01:19:18] No, Sean not an extra.

[01:19:19] You never gave a word.

[01:19:20] America people should know it's all answered for Ronda Santos.

[01:19:22] Can't answer it.

[01:19:23] He will sign that stream.

[01:19:25] Okay.

[01:19:25] Let me move on.

[01:19:26] I'm calling this the lightning round.

[01:19:29] It would be great if you guys cooperated.

[01:19:31] I'm not a potter plan here.

[01:19:32] Well, neither.

[01:19:33] Yeah, well yeah.

[01:19:34] I ask you.

[01:19:35] Newsom didn't answer policy does have a huge impact on states.

[01:19:38] We know that.

[01:19:39] I'm going to ask you three simple questions

[01:19:41] and I just want one word answers.

[01:19:43] Okay from three because we're best what would come

[01:19:45] out on a break.

[01:19:47] And the issue is right now Joe Biden is president.

[01:19:49] Yep.

[01:19:50] So I would like both of you to give a grade to Joe Biden

[01:19:54] overall as president.

[01:19:56] Governor Newsom.

[01:19:57] Hey, absolutely.

[01:19:59] I'm going to say master failed and a failure.

[01:20:01] Okay.

[01:20:02] Now that's your now number two are his policies helping

[01:20:06] or hurting your individual states?

[01:20:08] Is it helping the state of Florida?

[01:20:09] The inflation is hurting our state big time.

[01:20:11] The grade master class fail.

[01:20:13] He failed.

[01:20:14] He failed.

[01:20:15] I just just.

[01:20:16] In the science and in tech act.

[01:20:18] Thank you Joe Biden.

[01:20:19] It's absolutely accelerating our dominance and manufacturing

[01:20:23] accelerating our revitalization.

[01:20:25] Okay.

[01:20:26] That was a simple answer.

[01:20:27] Unequivocally.

[01:20:28] Lastly, yes.

[01:20:29] Okay.

[01:20:30] I will ask you governor DeSantis.

[01:20:32] I have played over and over again and governor Newsom.

[01:20:36] You have seen over and over again.

[01:20:39] Joe Biden is experienced what I believe to be significant

[01:20:44] cognitive decline.

[01:20:46] And in other words it's the toughest job in the world.

[01:20:49] Is Joe Biden experiencing this cognitive decline?

[01:20:53] Is it a danger to the country?

[01:20:56] Do you find when he speaks what is your reaction to it?

[01:21:00] Yes, he's in decline.

[01:21:01] Yes, it's a danger to the country.

[01:21:03] He has no business running for president and you know Gavin Newsom

[01:21:06] agrees with that.

[01:21:06] He won't say that.

[01:21:07] That's why he's running his shadow campaign.

[01:21:10] He should not be running.

[01:21:12] He is not up to the job and it is dangerous for this country.

[01:21:15] Well, I'll take I will take Joe Biden at a hundred versus

[01:21:19] Ron DeSantis any day of the week at any age.

[01:21:22] In fact, all of the money he's got to the job you think he's a hundred percent

[01:21:26] hundred percent.

[01:21:27] 100% with your body.

[01:21:29] You don't know.

[01:21:30] By the way, results matter inflation now is down to 3.2% wages are up to 4.4%.

[01:21:36] The economy is booming 5.2% GDP growth in the last quarter.

[01:21:40] There's a fact you don't hear on Fox News 14 million jobs.

[01:21:44] Ten times.

[01:21:45] Let me move on.

[01:21:46] That was the lightning round.

[01:21:47] March 31, 1968 president Lyndon B. Johnson famously said I shall not seek inflation

[01:21:55] or CPI is only down because it excludes the most important things that

[01:22:00] people actually care about like utilities gas other essentials

[01:22:06] because they take those things out.

[01:22:08] That's why inflation is down in 2024.

[01:22:11] In fact, you recently said quote, you think that vice president Harris

[01:22:16] is naturally the one lined up to run for president of Joe Biden were to bow out.

[01:22:21] Governor Newsom tonight, I ask you will you make an LBJ like statement

[01:22:26] and governor DeSantis you say is one of the shadow campaign in your response

[01:22:31] or like it answered that will you say unequivocally under no circumstances?

[01:22:35] Are you running correct?

[01:22:36] I said, I don't know how many times I could say just making this stuff up about a shadow campaign.

[01:22:40] If if bottom line if at the DNC convention they come and ask you where you run.

[01:22:44] What will you say?

[01:22:45] It will be our nominee in a matter of weeks.

[01:22:48] In a matter of weeks, Sean, there'll be endorsing Donald Trump as a nominee for the Republican party.

[01:22:54] If they come to you at the DNC and Joe is incapable of running

[01:22:57] and they ask you, are you a hard no?

[01:22:58] It's not even it's not even optionally doing fantastically.

[01:23:01] I appreciate and respect the work that president is doing

[01:23:04] and the vice president is the Biden Harris campaign and team.

[01:23:08] So absolutely unequivocally.

[01:23:09] The president would be the next president continuing to support their efforts.

[01:23:13] President will be reelected.

[01:23:15] Donald Trump will be saying what he's saying.

[01:23:17] I think what he's saying should color every single thing.

[01:23:19] I mean, I've called them on a lot of the lies but he says Joe Biden is 100% up to the job.

[01:23:23] You know that that's not true.

[01:23:25] Anybody that can look he wants you to believe him over your own lion eyes

[01:23:29] when he says the economy is so great.

[01:23:31] How great is it when you're going to the grocery store now?

[01:23:34] How great is it when you're trying to afford a home?

[01:23:37] How are those interest rates doing?

[01:23:39] What about affording a new car?

[01:23:40] So we have to get real here.

[01:23:42] We have to understand that Biden is not up job.

[01:23:44] But here's the here's I think the problem.

[01:23:46] What Biden would do the people around him,

[01:23:50] they would look to California for the model to go forward in the next four years.

[01:23:55] That would accelerate the decline of this country.

[01:23:58] Freedom is what works.

[01:24:00] The failures need to be left in the dustbin of here.

[01:24:03] Tell tell tell tell about freedom to women that you're trying to criminalize and you're stated.

[01:24:08] All right.

[01:24:08] We're we're we're treating to all graph years notion of freedom.

[01:24:11] Gentlemen, it is not a state of freedom.

[01:24:13] One of the things that I want to accomplish here is the policies that you both implement

[01:24:17] have a great impact on the citizens of your individual states.

[01:24:21] For years, a gallon of gasoline governor Newsom in California has been notably higher

[01:24:26] in your state than in the state of Florida.

[01:24:29] Here are the numbers by the way recent numbers the average cost for a gallon of gas nationwide

[01:24:34] just over $3.24 in Florida $3.17 in California.

[01:24:39] It is a whopping $4.85.

[01:24:43] So governor Newsom, I ask you you've also sued big oil companies,

[01:24:47] alleging executives have deceived the public about the health of our planet

[01:24:54] knowing that it's a polluter.

[01:24:55] If you lawsuit is successful, that would likely mean higher gas prices even higher

[01:24:59] gas prices for everybody.

[01:25:01] Here's my question though.

[01:25:02] Could you name right now?

[01:25:04] One source of energy that.

[01:25:16] I made the me touch.

[01:25:17] Can you take that?

[01:25:18] Let me touch on it.

[01:25:19] I'm going to get to your question and let me touch or the other party question.

[01:25:22] I'll give it the first part of the question.

[01:25:24] Okay, you're absolutely right since the 1980s Republican administrations,

[01:25:28] Democratic administrations have experienced under their stewardship.

[01:25:32] I can tell you what it would be to be nuclear, but they don't want to bring out a

[01:25:36] big deal.

[01:25:37] We continue to be ripped off by big oil.

[01:25:41] Big oil now is met a new foe in that's the state of California,

[01:25:45] the most aggressive anti-Gaojin law in America,

[01:25:49] more transparency being required than any time in America.

[01:25:52] And yes, we're suing, we're suing the industry responsible for this climate crisis.

[01:25:58] By the way, the same climate crisis that run the Santa celebrated as human,

[01:26:04] human cause who campaigned for a fracking ban,

[01:26:08] who campaigned to oppose offshore oil drilling.

[01:26:11] And then two days after it's,

[01:26:13] it's over.

[01:26:15] I'm really at your dead to ride on this.

[01:26:18] Sign an executive order.

[01:26:19] The fact that he says this with a straight face cracks me up.

[01:26:23] As if one, the oil companies just go screw California.

[01:26:28] We're going to charge them more money because we hate California.

[01:26:32] And their response is we're going to sue them because they're picking on us.

[01:26:37] It's just he thinks that somehow these oil companies,

[01:26:46] these big greedy oil companies are taking advantage of Californians.

[01:26:51] And since he's launched this transparency project,

[01:26:54] I thought gas prices were supposed to tumble because they were going to be exposed

[01:26:58] and they were going to be sued.

[01:27:00] But I haven't seen gas prices go down at all since you started this.

[01:27:05] What he's doing in California would buy it and wants to do nationally

[01:27:08] is government dictated green energy policies.

[01:27:11] They want to kneecap fossil fuels and reliable energy.

[01:27:15] We've already seen what's happening in California.

[01:27:17] They have rolling blackouts.

[01:27:19] They have to be implemented a mandate to buy electric vehicles.

[01:27:23] So pretty soon in California, you're not going to be able to buy a normal car.

[01:27:26] Only electric vehicles and they celebrated that as like a great thing.

[01:27:29] A couple days later, there was a notice from the state government telling all EV owners

[01:27:34] do not plug in your EV because they don't have enough grid capacity.

[01:27:38] So he is walking his people into a big time disaster.

[01:27:41] What Biden wants to do is he wants to take the California model.

[01:27:45] He wants to impose that nationally.

[01:27:47] He wants to take away your ability to purchase the car that you want.

[01:27:50] He wants to kneecap reliable energy and he wants to bring these rolling blackouts

[01:27:54] all across the United States of America.

[01:27:57] It doesn't work.

[01:27:58] It's going to cause huge problems.

[01:28:00] We have more energy here.

[01:28:02] We can be the dominant energy producer.

[01:28:04] We're all ready.

[01:28:05] And that's what we're going to do.

[01:28:06] Lord, it's not a big energy.

[01:28:08] We have the Marcelo deal.

[01:28:10] We have the West Texas.

[01:28:11] We have all of that.

[01:28:12] Just a little bit.

[01:28:13] We have to take the American automobiles.

[01:28:15] We have to take the American automobiles.

[01:28:17] When we come back, we'll continue the great state red state blue state debate wall with

[01:28:22] Governor Ron DeSantis, more governor Gavin Newsom as we can.

[01:28:26] Is Gavin Newsom pointing out that Ron DeSantis opposed off shore drilling?

[01:28:32] And that's a bad thing.

[01:28:40] I want to thank everybody who's been tuning in and hanging out with us.

[01:28:45] It's been great.

[01:28:46] It looks like more people have kind of come on throughout the show.

[01:28:50] So quick plug.

[01:28:51] Obviously, if you're new to the channel, make sure you like share, comment, all that stuff.

[01:28:56] Subscribe to the channel.

[01:28:57] Hit the notification bell so you know when we go live, which is every Tuesday night usually at 8 p.m.

[01:29:03] We go live.

[01:29:04] So if you're new on rumble or YouTube, thank you for tuning in.

[01:29:08] It's great to see a lot of people hanging out with us tonight.

[01:29:12] All right.

[01:29:13] There are a couple of fact checks I want to get to.

[01:29:17] The book ban that was false.

[01:29:21] There was a book list that was circulated around Facebook by prominent like.

[01:29:26] I guess celebrities.

[01:29:27] Mark Hamill circulated it.

[01:29:29] But it turned out that was all false.

[01:29:32] So it said it banned books like.

[01:29:35] Kill Mockingbird, Catcher in the Rye.

[01:29:37] I know why the cage bird sings and some Harry Potter books.

[01:29:41] But that was a false list.

[01:29:42] So they were not banning the books that they were thinking they were banning.

[01:29:46] Let's see.

[01:29:47] The next one.

[01:29:49] The New York Times actually admitted this came out just a couple days ago.

[01:29:53] Actually, the New York Times admitted that they were banning.

[01:29:56] The New York Times admitted that COVID learning loss was real.

[01:29:59] And the problem is pronounced in poorer districts like Oakland, California,

[01:30:03] where the chronic absenteeism rate exceeded 61%.

[01:30:07] So California not immune to learning loss as much as they'd like to pretend.

[01:30:16] Keeping kids out of school.

[01:30:17] Shocker didn't actually help.

[01:30:19] So yeah, just a couple of fact checks there.

[01:30:22] And obviously the whole gas thing is just so laughable that we pretend.

[01:30:28] It's the greedy oil companies.

[01:30:29] That's like the left's favorite things, the greedy oil companies are just out to screw us.

[01:30:34] That's why gas is $5 a gallon here not because of anything else.

[01:30:38] So.

[01:30:41] Oh Kevin Kylie fact check coming coming in hot four minutes ago.

[01:30:48] Newsom claims that they're going to be in the next two weeks.

[01:30:51] And so the next two weeks ago newsom claims the nation's current unemployment rate is assigned a booming economy.

[01:30:56] California has the second highest unemployment rate in the country.

[01:31:02] He also said Newsom just posted about California's performance in eighth grade reading.

[01:31:06] California is the worst fourth grade reading scores in the country.

[01:31:10] So.

[01:31:13] I'm glad to see that.

[01:31:16] And I hope he's doing well.

[01:31:19] I would say so sweet you know and can continue this because he's I feel like he's temporally at the first three presidential debates.

[01:31:25] And I know this isn't technically a presidential debate, but I think he's been really well tonight.

[01:31:30] I think if if someone could.

[01:31:34] Pull him aside and get him to stop doing the awkward stuff.

[01:31:39] He would look a lot better because he's a smart guy who can argue.

[01:31:44] I mean, he was a Navy Jag so you know he's a smart guy.

[01:31:50] But it's just funny how it seems like ever since he started running for president like he just he's become the most awkward guy in the world.

[01:31:59] Before that just seemed like everything he did during COVID and lean up to his presidential run.

[01:32:03] He just seemed like the guy like he was so cool, common collected and he had all the right answers.

[01:32:08] Now all of a sudden he's like.

[01:32:11] He's doing awkward things like he doesn't know where to put his hands and he smiles weird and he looks very robotic so.

[01:32:19] Note to the Santa's team if you're out there.

[01:32:23] Teach him how to not look so awkward while standing there because he has good points, but I think I've been enjoying newsroom actually.

[01:32:32] What's that?

[01:32:34] Who is still in for the Republican presidential.

[01:32:37] Is it that obviously Trump, DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Chris Dylan.

[01:32:44] God is Chris Christie still in yeah.

[01:32:47] I don't got it Doug Bergam has dropped out yet.

[01:32:51] That's right Doug Bergam is still out there today.

[01:32:54] So it's officially dropout now he's still out there speaking of next week's debate.

[01:33:01] So it's a great day for the Republican presidential.

[01:33:04] We're not going to be live streaming, but if you want to listen to our commentary, join us in the California Underground discord link in bio on Instagram.

[01:33:14] When we get closer I'll put it up but will be.

[01:33:17] We'll be talking chat in there about the debate.

[01:33:21] If you want to join us there.

[01:33:23] I think it's a great day for us to join us.

[01:33:25] And let's you on.

[01:33:26] Oh, you don't have to drink.

[01:33:27] There's no drinking rules for that.

[01:33:29] So people while Florida has 12 per 10,000 people so governor DeSantis.

[01:33:35] I ask you why this party?

[01:33:37] One of the policies you are implementing that is different from that of California.

[01:33:42] California's adopting leftist policies Gavin Newsom was governor or mayor San Francisco.

[01:33:48] He put out a 10 year plan like 20 years ago.

[01:33:50] He had a lot of business.

[01:33:52] Then a few years later he had another plan and now he says he's going to do it.

[01:33:56] It's only gotten worse in the last 10 years in California.

[01:33:58] The homeless has gone up 45%.

[01:34:00] It's gone down in Florida.

[01:34:02] 45%.

[01:34:03] But it's caused a huge problem with quality of life in California.

[01:34:08] The people that flee always bring up this.

[01:34:10] They've really empowered lawlessness and drug use.

[01:34:12] And you know Gavin Newsom one point tried to say that California was the freedom.

[01:34:16] And I think that's the reason why this.

[01:34:18] I've thought about it, you know California does have freedoms that some people don't.

[01:34:22] The other states don't.

[01:34:23] You have the freedom to defecate in public in California.

[01:34:26] You have the freedom to pitch a tent on sunset Boulevard.

[01:34:29] You have the freedom to create a homeless encampment under a freeway and even lighted on fire.

[01:34:34] You have the freedom to have an open air drug market and use drugs.

[01:34:37] You have a freedom if you're nearly alien to get all these taxpayer benefits.

[01:34:41] So so those are freedoms.

[01:34:43] The people are leaving the state because they have failed in addressing the homeless population.

[01:34:49] Well I love that I love the Rand on freedom.

[01:34:51] I mean here's a guy who's criminalizing teachers, criminalizing doctors, criminalizing librarians and criminalizing women that seek their reproductive care.

[01:35:02] You're making it harder to vote.

[01:35:04] You're banning books.

[01:35:06] I mean spare me this notion of freedom.

[01:35:08] Ask the folks at Disney about freedom and free enterprise.

[01:35:12] Ask the folks at the special Olympics that you threatened to find with 27.

[01:35:16] Because they were deciding against the apple who goes after a special.

[01:35:21] The other thing is with Down syndrome of home.

[01:35:24] That is wrong.

[01:35:25] That's being a liberal bully.

[01:35:26] That's being a bully really.

[01:35:27] Down syndrome.

[01:35:28] I wanted to just discriminate against them.

[01:35:31] 27 million dollar.

[01:35:32] They were discriminating against especially because they were discriminating against the athletes.

[01:35:36] They wanted to marginalize the athletes and you wanted the athletes marginalized.

[01:35:40] That was wrong what you did.

[01:35:42] These are kids with Down syndrome that just wanted to conclude working with your own levels of life.

[01:35:50] You want them to be you want them there you exercise.

[01:35:53] You are not you.

[01:35:54] You talk to it is a bell and from Florida.

[01:35:56] 27 million dollars.

[01:35:58] We've got up for her.

[01:35:59] This is the way you treat.

[01:36:00] Oh yeah, by the way, no hold on.

[01:36:02] I can handle that.

[01:36:04] I can handle it.

[01:36:05] I'm used to that.

[01:36:06] I'm going to admit I don't know what they're talking about.

[01:36:09] You want to let me come on.

[01:36:11] You attack.

[01:36:12] You should be able to communicate.

[01:36:13] We've attacked up women and we made sure they can relax.

[01:36:16] Do you know what they're talking about?

[01:36:18] That Gavin Newsom discriminated against special Olympics.

[01:36:21] Intimidating and humiliating people.

[01:36:23] That's your calling.

[01:36:24] Why don't you want this by the way?

[01:36:25] It's not well as a coin for.

[01:36:27] I don't know if I'm not to be able to come on.

[01:36:29] I'm not going to let me talk.

[01:36:31] I don't understand why you want to discriminate.

[01:36:33] Again, I'll remind you.

[01:36:34] The blue print.

[01:36:35] The blue print from Florida.

[01:36:36] Let me let me.

[01:36:37] You're a bully.

[01:36:38] I don't know if it's going to take you down.

[01:36:40] Let's go back.

[01:36:41] As you try to get.

[01:36:42] How dare you.

[01:36:43] Let's go back on the issue of homeless.

[01:36:45] Bismurch the great city of Los Angeles.

[01:36:48] It's decades in the making in the state of California.

[01:36:50] Ever since we started shuttering down our mental health institutions

[01:36:54] back in the day in Ronald Reagan's day.

[01:36:56] The difference is on the first governor in California history to take this head on.

[01:37:01] We are just unprecedented resources.

[01:37:03] Dr.

[01:37:04] Pat ability.

[01:37:05] We've gotten 68,000 people off the streets close to 6,000 encampments.

[01:37:09] We've gotten off the streets.

[01:37:10] We've also invested in unprecedented resources in reforming our behavioral health system.

[01:37:15] Ron has literally the worst mental health system in America.

[01:37:19] Forgive me outside of Mississippi and Texas.

[01:37:23] And so with all due respect to being lectured on some of these topics.

[01:37:26] Ron Desan is not the one I'm going to be listening.

[01:37:29] 30 second response.

[01:37:30] You're well, I'm looking at total time governor.

[01:37:33] Yeah.

[01:37:34] This is a map of San Francisco.

[01:37:37] There's a lot of plots on that you may be asking what is that plotting?

[01:37:40] Well, this is an app where they plot the human feces.

[01:37:44] That are found on the streets of San Francisco and you see how almost the whole thing is covered

[01:37:49] because that is what has happened in one of the previous greatest cities this country's ever had.

[01:37:54] Human feces is now a fact of life, except when a communist dictator comes to town,

[01:37:59] then they cleaned up the streets.

[01:38:01] They lined the streets with Chinese flags.

[01:38:03] They didn't put American flags there.

[01:38:05] They cleaned everything up.

[01:38:06] So they're willing to do it for a communist dictator.

[01:38:08] But they're not willing to do it for their own.

[01:38:10] I want to get in with the limited time we have left.

[01:38:12] I want to get there two very important issues.

[01:38:14] We have not had the right to do it.

[01:38:15] And then with the limited time we have left.

[01:38:17] I want to get there two very important issues we have not had after the Hamas terror attacks on October the seventh.

[01:38:23] We have seen what is nothing short of a disturbing outbreak of virulent hatred anti-Semitism around the world

[01:38:31] and the holes of our Congress on American streets on college campuses last month outside in Sydney Opera House in Australia.

[01:38:40] We've seen it all over Europe, but in Australia anti-Israeli protesters literally in this day and age chanting gas the Jews at the Jews in American cities.

[01:38:50] Okay so while they're going off about Israel.

[01:38:54] Here's the story.

[01:38:56] The Dessantis threatened to find the special Olympics for mandate that participating athletes be vaccinated against COVID-19.

[01:39:06] At its 2022 US games in Orlando.

[01:39:10] But it wasn't out of malice according to Dessantis because it resulted in them relaxing their requirement.

[01:39:19] But in the participation of 100 more athletes in the games from Florida alone.

[01:39:24] So basically he did it so that people wouldn't be discriminated against because they didn't get the vaccine to air special needs where they couldn't get the vaccine medically.

[01:39:37] So he helped get more people to the special Olympics and knew some thought he was being a bully because he was finding the special.

[01:39:45] They need to be eliminated not just for the people of Israel and Jews around the world, but for the Palestinians themselves.

[01:39:50] But when it comes to the issue of anti-Semitism you just mentioned a lot of things that have been occurring on Rhonda sentences watch.

[01:39:57] He said nothing.

[01:39:59] I'm saying what he countenance anti-Semitism and now he's finally talking about game ever since October.

[01:40:09] How about the mass of the sacred airness of time the road gentlemen? He said nothing.

[01:40:14] Look at the rest.

[01:40:16] They want to destroy Israel and wipe every single Jew off the mat.

[01:40:21] Israel has every right to defend itself to the hill Biden should not be kneecapping them in any way shape or form.

[01:40:27] And by the way Biden stranded a lot of American citizens over there were trying to get home so I didn't executive order in Florida.

[01:40:34] And we sent planes over to Israel right in the aftermath of October 7th, and we saved over 700 Americans mostly Floridians but not all because Biden wouldn't do it.

[01:40:43] Finally, Biden started dumping people in Greece.

[01:40:46] And then they were sending a bill to the Americans just to get to Greece.

[01:40:50] If you come to this country illegally, they will pay to fly you all over the place.

[01:40:54] They'll put you up in hotel at no expense but yet our own citizens fleeing a war zone.

[01:40:59] They're going to send you a bill.

[01:41:00] Joe Biden failed those people and we stepped up and got it.

[01:41:03] Let me ask you I want to turn to the anti-Semitism on your streets for years.

[01:41:07] I want to turn to the issue in the element of China.

[01:41:10] I talk about this often intellectual property theft unfair trade practices that China has been hostile to our fighter jets and international airspace hostile to our Navy and international waterways.

[01:41:23] We know all about the China's Bible and that happened eight days right across the United States over the United Nations.

[01:41:30] The communist Chinese they have nationals buying up thousands of acres of branch land farmland and land near military installations.

[01:41:37] Their hostility towards Taiwan.

[01:41:40] They are governor DeSantis our number one geopolitical foe.

[01:41:44] I don't see that the Biden administration has been tough with them.

[01:41:47] What would you do differently?

[01:41:48] Well, first in Florida we ban China from buying land in our state because you're right.

[01:41:52] You don't want them buying farm land or land your military base.

[01:41:55] We also got the Confucius Institute out of our universities.

[01:41:59] China should not be involved in our universities at all.

[01:42:02] What you need to do is you need to have hard power in the Indo-Pacific to deter China's ambitions.

[01:42:08] You need to take the economy we need to decouple from China.

[01:42:11] We're dependent on them for so many things and then finally we need to get serious about their influence in this country.

[01:42:16] They shouldn't be able to buy farm land anywhere.

[01:42:18] I can tell you this, I would not go to China and gravel in front of G like Gavin Newsom did.

[01:42:24] He says China is a partner on climate change.

[01:42:27] China's adding two new coal plants every year.

[01:42:30] China's laughing at us with what they're doing.

[01:42:34] So yes, they're the number one threat we face and we need to take it seriously.

[01:42:38] And Joe Biden is not doing that.

[01:42:39] This is his reminder.

[01:42:42] I think it's a question some people probably asking.

[01:42:45] I know Nikki Haley's campaign is asking when are you going to drop out and at least give Nikki Haley a shot?

[01:42:50] To take down Donald Trump in this nomination.

[01:42:52] She laid you out.

[01:42:54] You're walking.

[01:42:55] You went about a lot.

[01:42:57] What about China?

[01:42:58] This is a guy that was looking for direct foreign trade from China was doing trade.

[01:43:02] That has opened up an awesome already been that song.

[01:43:05] Absolutely.

[01:43:06] You're the liberal fact checkers.

[01:43:09] Donald Trump.

[01:43:10] Today called you red Ron reason because of your leader poppers.

[01:43:15] All right, we're almost at a time talking a big game.

[01:43:18] I confronted she on the issue of fentanyl Ron.

[01:43:21] I confronted them on human rights.

[01:43:23] I absolutely did with the foreign minister and the vice president and other leaders in China.

[01:43:27] You talk a big game.

[01:43:28] Meanwhile, we're all time.

[01:43:30] We've got to accept.

[01:43:31] Final question.

[01:43:32] Governor DeSantis.

[01:43:33] We owe you about 90 seconds.

[01:43:35] But you get the last word as per the coin flip.

[01:43:37] What are you giving me five seconds?

[01:43:39] Would it be confirmed to them on fentanyl which is pouring across the California border?

[01:43:43] Look.

[01:43:44] It's been a very passionate debate tonight.

[01:43:47] Actually, it's been fun to be a part of.

[01:43:48] I think the American people will decide.

[01:43:51] Governing philosophies could not be more different.

[01:43:53] But let me ask you this kind of a fun question.

[01:43:55] You both clearly love your states.

[01:43:58] You've visited each other's state.

[01:44:01] Governor DeSantis, you can take as much time as you want.

[01:44:04] You have the next 90 seconds.

[01:44:06] What is your favorite thing about the state of California?

[01:44:09] And give them five minutes for this.

[01:44:11] That would be a good question.

[01:44:13] All right, we'll stay long.

[01:44:14] Five minutes, governor.

[01:44:15] I got orders as a Navy lieutenant to go to Naval Enfibious Base Coronado.

[01:44:20] I had not spent any real time in California my life.

[01:44:22] Florida native and I'm very proud of the state, but I got down there.

[01:44:26] And that strand is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

[01:44:29] And then all up in.

[01:44:30] Oh, this is cute.

[01:44:31] I do believe California has more natural advantages than any state in the country.

[01:44:37] Which is why when you have so many people leaving on net.

[01:44:41] You know, that's hard to do.

[01:44:43] Like people don't want to leave there because it really is such a beautiful area.

[01:44:47] And I'm proud of the military installations that are there.

[01:44:49] I'm proud of what the what the Navy has been able to do in conjunction with the state.

[01:44:54] It was really important duty.

[01:44:55] It really helped forge me as an individual and as an American.

[01:44:59] And so I always have very, very fond memories of that nice strand down there in Southern California.

[01:45:04] I love that.

[01:45:05] I mean, really, really.

[01:45:06] What do you know?

[01:45:07] I don't know what you love about.

[01:45:08] California coast of dreams.

[01:45:10] I'm saying Diego.

[01:45:11] I love about.

[01:45:12] Oh.

[01:45:13] I love about.

[01:45:14] Oh.

[01:45:21] He can't even answer the question.

[01:45:25] What do you love about Florida?

[01:45:32] He can't even answer the question, what do you love about Florida?

[01:46:02] He still hasn't answered the question, what do you love about Florida?

[01:47:02] I don't know how much longer I want to stay to be honest.

[01:47:14] I only had about an hour and a half in me to be honest.

[01:47:20] I don't mean to be honest.

[01:47:30] I think we got our fill of disantis and news.

[01:47:38] That was their final question.

[01:47:40] I think we got to go off the rails.

[01:47:42] It's been about an hour and a half and everyone who's been joining us, thank you so much for tuning in to this live.

[01:47:50] This was a lot of fun.

[01:47:52] If you want to continue watching, you can go find out on Fox News.

[01:47:56] But final thoughts on this.

[01:48:00] I think.

[01:48:03] I thought it was good.

[01:48:05] It was a fun debate.

[01:48:07] I think it was more entertaining than any of the Republican debates thus far because it was actually policy versus policy.

[01:48:15] I think disantis, if you're the disantis camp, you walk away from this saying that was an absolute win for your campaign.

[01:48:23] You needed it.

[01:48:25] You needed a shot in the arm.

[01:48:28] I think it's a good idea to do that.

[01:48:30] I think it's a good idea to do that.

[01:48:32] I think it's a good idea to do that.

[01:48:34] This is very good for Ron.

[01:48:36] I think at some points, he looked presidential.

[01:48:40] He sounded presidential.

[01:48:42] Just got man, you got to work on those awkward movements.

[01:48:44] You just got to work on it.

[01:48:46] I don't know what it is.

[01:48:47] I don't know why you do the weird movements with your arms and all that stuff.

[01:48:50] And.

[01:48:51] I don't know what it is.

[01:48:53] I don't know what it is.

[01:48:55] I don't know why you do it.

[01:48:57] I'm just going to talk about, I don't know why you're talking about just those things.

[01:49:01] And the fact that he did not answer what do you love about Florida?

[01:49:03] He just shows he just he just deflects.

[01:49:05] He just moves on to whatever he wants to talk about.

[01:49:07] I was waiting to hear what he loved about Florida, but I guess he doesn't love anything about Florida.

[01:49:15] I'm my gosh.

[01:49:16] nice as Disneyland because we're the original or something like that. I don't know.

[01:49:21] So fun debate. I hope everyone who tuned in had a good time. I hope we provided enough fact checking

[01:49:27] about all of this and gave you some context. We were trying to fact check as much as possible

[01:49:32] throughout this without kind of interjecting too much into the debate and then everyone enjoy it.

[01:49:38] So yeah, I don't know any final other final thoughts before we sign off for the night.

[01:49:44] Yeah, that makes so. That was fun. That was fun. That was our first ever like live stream debate.

[01:49:50] So we'll have to do it again. I was shocked that they didn't violate or break any more of the other

[01:49:57] rules more than I thought they would. Donald Trump was the far away rule that was broken the most.

[01:50:05] So you know, it is what it is. Sometimes you get rules that they always break and sometimes not.

[01:50:11] I thought I was going to go through more than one beer, but I didn't.

[01:50:15] I have really made it no more drain just because I was like, oh, it's going to go fast.

[01:50:22] Because it's an hour and a half and it's going to go fast. Yeah, didn't go through.

[01:50:26] I didn't go through my whole beer. So not as wild as we thought it was. But yeah, good time.

[01:50:33] Thank you to everyone for tuning in. A lot of people watching on both streams. So it was a lot of fun.

[01:50:39] Like I said, before we sign off, make sure you subscribe. Hit the notification bell if you're on rumble or

[01:51:00] central digital currency. Correct? Yes. Did I get that right? Okay. Awesome.

[01:51:07] Something like that. We'll give you more details later. All right.

[01:51:12] I think I basically said it and yeah, if you like the show, make sure you share it with people.
