If you're a California conservative, A libertarian, A

00:00:09
moderate Democrat, believe in common sense or just the same

00:00:12
person, this is the political podcast for you.

00:00:15
It's the California Underground Podcast.

00:00:27
What's going on everybody? Thanks for tuning in to another

00:00:29
episode of the California Underground.

00:00:31
I am your host, Phil, as long as well.

00:00:33
With me is my trusty cohost, the best and fastest researcher in

00:00:37
the West. Camille.

00:00:38
How are you doing tonight, Camille?

00:00:40
Good. It's been it's been 2 days since

00:00:42
we were last here. I know we've got a double

00:00:45
whammy. We got a double whammy this week

00:00:47
because, like we said, we didn't do a podcast last week.

00:00:49
So we doubled up just to make sure people, you know, we didn't

00:00:52
want to deprive anybody of podcast content.

00:00:55
So here we are, we're doing 2 this week and we did two spicy

00:00:58
ones. The the presidential one was

00:01:01
really interesting and I think there was a lot we talked about

00:01:04
before we knew it. It was like an hour and we had

00:01:07
gone through all the candidates and I think we made our opinions

00:01:11
pretty well known on all the candidates.

00:01:12
So that was a good one. Tonight is going to be

00:01:14
particularly spicy though. I think this is something that a

00:01:18
lot of people are getting, for a lack of a better term, I guess

00:01:23
kind of freaked out about. There's been more news or

00:01:27
murmurs, I should say. I wouldn't even say really news.

00:01:31
It's more murmurs and kind of social media circles are talking

00:01:36
about this idea that like 2020 style lockdowns and mandates are

00:01:40
coming back. They're going to be back in 2024

00:01:42
or if not, they're going to be back in like the next couple

00:01:44
months. So we're going to kind of

00:01:47
examine it because, well, California, to be honest, we

00:01:51
suffered from. Lockdowns, probably the worst.

00:01:55
And mass mandates because good old Newsom didn't want to let go

00:01:59
of his emergency state of emergency for the longest time.

00:02:04
When did he finally let go of? It wasn't in 2023 or like 20.

00:02:07
It was like way after the pandemic, It took him along.

00:02:11
Tomorrow, I think tomorrow he's letting go of the state of

00:02:13
emergency. That's how long he held on to

00:02:17
it. Wasn't it?

00:02:17
So I feel like it was like February 12th or something like

00:02:20
that. I feel like wait.

00:02:22
We're still in a state of emergency, like we're all

00:02:24
ignoring you. I think it was as recently as

00:02:28
this year. I mean, we could.

00:02:29
Yeah, because it was just five, three years, right?

00:02:34
Yeah. And we were all kind of sitting

00:02:36
around being like, really, we're now we're.

00:02:38
I'm gonna look this up right now.

00:02:42
I'm pretty sure the majority was definitely ignoring it and

00:02:45
that's why we were all kind of in shock when it was like it

00:02:48
ends now and. But, like, wait, didn't it?

00:02:51
We're what? We're still we're supposed to be

00:02:54
in it. Yeah, February 28th, 2023.

00:02:57
So this year was when they actually ended the COVID state

00:03:02
of emergency here in California. So as of this year, California

00:03:06
was still in a COVID state of emergency.

00:03:09
Newsome finally let it go and here we are now.

00:03:13
It's hasn't even been a full year and people are already

00:03:16
talking on social media about. About it coming back and

00:03:19
possibly going back to lockdowns and mandates, I think some

00:03:24
people have gotten, I mean, I I guess we're going to start with

00:03:28
the video with Alex Jones and that's probably the best place

00:03:30
to start because I feel like that's where the majority of it

00:03:35
started was that Alex Jones put out this video saying that he

00:03:39
talked to a TSA agent. I guess I don't.

00:03:43
I guess we could just watch it. I don't have to explain the

00:03:45
whole thing. Just watch it and see.

00:03:49
Yeah, this was the video that lit the Internet on fire

00:03:55
regarding COVID coming back. Come on, it shows we're trying

00:04:09
to show Rumble. There we go.

00:04:10
A. Call Yesterday an individual was

00:04:14
in town. And they wanted to meet with me

00:04:17
that I know well and they are a high level manager in the TSA

00:04:30
and I went and met with them and had a cup of coffee with them

00:04:36
and they said you got to warn people Tuesday we got called in

00:04:44
the managers. And told that by the middle of

00:04:48
September that the new policy is being written that this is done.

00:04:51
They were told this is happening.

00:04:53
This is not hypothetical. You all have to wear October.

00:05:04
They are going to say that everyone flying has to wear a

00:05:10
mask. And in the meetings, people

00:05:13
began to ask them. Well, I mean, why is this

00:05:16
happening? They said, well because of the

00:05:18
new variant in Canada and because of The Who they may, you

00:05:24
know, declare this, but regardless, we've been told this

00:05:27
is going to happen. Long pause for traumatic effect.

00:05:40
And then they were told we expect by December a return to

00:05:50
the full. COVID protocol of 2020-2021 and

00:05:56
I was given many more details. I wrote down notes on it.

00:06:05
Spit it up. Then I left, called the first

00:06:13
federal connection that I was thinking of.

00:06:17
Didn't answer. Called the second answered.

00:06:22
I told them what I've been told and they said what day was that?

00:06:24
I said Tuesday. They said, yeah, we were told

00:06:28
yesterday, this is yesterday was Thursday, so it was Wednesday.

00:06:33
Expect COVID protocols to begin rolling out middle of September.

00:06:39
And I said, what else were you told Basically that they believe

00:06:44
this new variant super bad and that they're doing the testing

00:06:47
and that they should just get ready?

00:06:49
For a whole new roll out of what happened before, and this was

00:06:53
Border Patrol, connected people I was talking to and testing at

00:06:56
the border again in the whole shooting match.

00:07:00
That's two federal agents that told me this yesterday.

00:07:08
And then I went and looked at the news and there they were

00:07:11
saying Canada's looking at new restrictions again because of

00:07:14
the variant. And so is the EU.

00:07:16
And one of the Russians just put out three days ago.

00:07:19
The US is plotting another pandemic.

00:07:21
Russian head of the Defense Ministry.

00:07:23
Warrants now. New lockdowns will start the

00:07:29
Third world. New lockdowns will destroy small

00:07:31
businesses. New lockdowns will take the

00:07:32
average person that's already $5000 in the hole and their

00:07:36
paycheck is is is just on time. We'll put them into full

00:07:40
bankruptcy. And the children in the mask and

00:07:44
the the attempt to push a new shot for the new variant and

00:07:47
we're right back in the same hello timing.

00:07:58
Because going to the election year, they had the last crisis

00:08:02
go over 2 1/2 years. They'll bare minimum run this

00:08:05
through the next election. It's only 1415 months out with

00:08:11
mail in ballots again and we have all the eyewitnesses and

00:08:15
testimony. That they get the mail in

00:08:17
ballots and in some cases they were 99% for Joe Biden, who

00:08:21
believes that U.S. Postal Service whistleblowers

00:08:24
USPS poll watching witnesses. I have it all here.

00:08:29
We'll play it next hour. We do not have to sit here and

00:08:32
take the same criminal UN Global WF, New World order regimes,

00:08:38
second rollout of lockdowns and attempts at forced injections

00:08:42
and travel restrictions are being told you're not essential.

00:08:45
We don't have to lay down and die and for the third world, but

00:08:51
they'll lock them down again under I MF world main control.

00:08:58
It is a literal death sentence that's been over 80 million

00:09:03
people starved to death the last 3 1/2 years because of the

00:09:05
public restriction. Okay.

00:09:07
So I don't know. Let's see.

00:09:10
Take that off the screen. That was the video that

00:09:15
basically started everything. And that wasn't there was a lot.

00:09:20
There was a lot in that 4 minute video where to start with this.

00:09:25
A lot of people. Look, I have nothing against

00:09:29
Alex Jones. I know he's very popular.

00:09:32
I know a lot of people really like him and a lot of people.

00:09:37
I had posted a TikTok last week at Impromptu.

00:09:40
That's sort of one of the reasons I wanted to do this

00:09:41
podcast was a little bit longer than a normal TikTok.

00:09:46
A lot of people in the comments said, Oh well, Alex Jones has

00:09:49
gotten a lot of things right, but they always like to ignore

00:09:54
the stuff that Alex Jones doesn't get right.

00:09:56
You know, it's always that, you know, he makes these big kind of

00:10:00
sensational stories. And if you go on, Infowars.

00:10:04
You can go on Infowars and check the headlines every single day.

00:10:07
How much of it's actually going actually comes true?

00:10:10
Probably not majority of it, but that's sort of the MO of Alex

00:10:16
Jones is that he will say these things.

00:10:19
They are sensational, gets people riled up, and most of it

00:10:25
might not come true. So this story could either be

00:10:29
the biggest exclusive. Of 2023, if it actually does

00:10:34
happen. Or will it?

00:10:37
It will just be swept under the rug like no one will talk about

00:10:40
it. Three months from now, if

00:10:42
nothing happens, I have my own thoughts about and we can get

00:10:47
in. We're going to discuss it

00:10:49
throughout the show. Why I don't think.

00:10:53
I mean, I'm kind of killing the lead here.

00:10:57
Why? I don't think any of this is

00:10:58
really going to happen. I think there's a lot of

00:11:02
practical reasons as to why it isn't going to happen.

00:11:05
And maybe people think I'm, I'm not awake, maybe I need to wake

00:11:09
up or whatever. But I'm just trying to look at

00:11:12
this as like, you know, at a practical perspective.

00:11:15
What were your thoughts about you watched the video.

00:11:20
What are your initial thoughts about Alex Jones in this video?

00:11:25
Well, question these last three years, did you lay down and die?

00:11:30
Because we don't have to lay down and die like we did before.

00:11:33
Did you? Lay down and die?

00:11:38
No. Blind at the end there.

00:11:40
We don't have to lay down and die, which I didn't personally

00:11:46
lay down and die before, but that was a very sensationalized

00:11:55
video. It was.

00:11:58
I mean, that's what he does, obviously, and it works.

00:12:00
And people, TuneIn, and I think some people, probably TuneIn to

00:12:04
student, enjoy the crazy other people TuneIn and like, plan

00:12:08
their lives around what Alex Jones says.

00:12:13
So I don't know. There's talk, there's talk of,

00:12:20
there's news, you know, a new variant.

00:12:22
But there's been this entire year, Every month there's been a

00:12:24
new variant and nothing's happened.

00:12:27
Now, we do know a couple schools and that Hollywood studio, they

00:12:33
like mandated masks on two floors of A5 story building for

00:12:37
two weeks or a week or something like that.

00:12:40
And people still take COVID test, which cracks me up,

00:12:46
literally cracks me up. Someone today said they have

00:12:49
COVID and I'm like, why did you test?

00:12:51
You're fine. Why did you test what?

00:12:53
What? You have the sniffles.

00:12:56
OK, got it. Yeah, so exactly.

00:13:01
I mean, yeah, you're sick. Stay home.

00:13:03
I've always been of that belief, especially with children.

00:13:06
But I don't, I don't see it coming where September starts

00:13:12
tomorrow. I feel like we would already

00:13:14
hear more, which now I'm giving away my whole opinion of this

00:13:18
entire thing. So you know, you could just cut

00:13:20
me off after I say this and then you can take away the show.

00:13:23
For the night, but I don't. I don't see it coming.

00:13:27
I imagine come winter when it's cold and flu strike up, that's

00:13:31
there'll be some panic. There's always going to be some

00:13:34
panic. People are like that.

00:13:35
We've had panic about many things many winters.

00:13:41
I'm saying this, I'm sorry, I'm being really slow, trying to

00:13:43
articulate my thoughts. But I guess to sum it up, that

00:13:48
was just a sensational video that I don't feel like 98% of it

00:13:52
is going to come true. I think, and I was just thinking

00:13:59
that this might be why did this take off like wildfire in my

00:14:05
mind. And I think I know why.

00:14:08
I'm just going to hypothesize here, this may be sensational,

00:14:11
but I'm just going to hypothesize as to why this

00:14:14
particular story took off like wildfire.

00:14:17
And social media, you and I both know.

00:14:23
A lot of people got social media famous during the COVID years.

00:14:29
A lot of people gained a lot of followers during the COVID

00:14:33
years, both on the right and the left.

00:14:36
The right definitely got a lot of traction.

00:14:40
There are a lot of people who gained 10s of thousands of

00:14:42
followers during the COVID years and we could probably name five

00:14:48
off the top of our head right now.

00:14:49
We won't, but we know who they are.

00:14:54
I think it's probably the hottest thing that will get you

00:14:57
shares, that will get you likes, that will get you engagement, is

00:15:01
if you start to push that mass and all of this is coming back

00:15:06
and people will share it. And I mean, there've been plenty

00:15:10
of people who sent it to my message box or my Dms on social

00:15:14
media about what's going on. There's a lot of people who did

00:15:18
tik toks about it. There's a lot of people who are

00:15:20
now jumping on the We Will Not Comply hashtag.

00:15:24
It got a lot of people Instagram, social media, famous.

00:15:31
And it's one thing that they know.

00:15:33
It will generate those clicks. And that's the sad thing in our

00:15:37
in sort of our culture today, is that the news can be driven not

00:15:41
by facts or people logically looking at stuff.

00:15:47
It's what's sensational that will get me clicks and views and

00:15:51
we, we kind of always call out the corporate media and say the

00:15:55
corporate media does this a lot. They sensationalize stories,

00:15:58
they lie. They they kind of bury the lead

00:16:02
or they don't tell you all the facts.

00:16:04
Social media influencers do the same exact thing.

00:16:07
They'll give you a snippet. They'll give you a quick 32nd or

00:16:10
one minute Tiktok are real and. That's all they give you.

00:16:15
They don't give you facts. They don't kind of step back and

00:16:17
go, let's examine this. Let's take a deep breath, Let's

00:16:22
look at this logically. Is this really going to happen

00:16:26
to them? It's to a lot of people.

00:16:28
It's just it's it's it's easy red meat to garner more

00:16:34
following and more influence on social media.

00:16:39
I think that's one reason it definitely took off is because

00:16:42
they saw it and said ooh. People really love sharing stuff

00:16:47
about COVID, especially about lockdowns and mass.

00:16:50
So if I post something, someone, they're going to share it and

00:16:54
there's going to be a lot of shares.

00:16:56
I'm going to get a lot of engagement and I'll, I'll boost

00:17:01
my social media. Now, as someone who recently had

00:17:05
a video go viral and hit millions of views, would you

00:17:08
agree with that statement? That's going to say I had

00:17:11
nothing to do with COVID. Yours.

00:17:14
That's quite a feat. You had nothing.

00:17:16
Your video had nothing to do with COVID and it got millions

00:17:19
of views. But no, OK, you know,

00:17:22
seriousness, I agree with what you're saying.

00:17:25
I I was having a conversation with one of our mutual friends

00:17:29
last night about kind of this, not not particularly COVID, but

00:17:35
kind of this and how. They do have to capitalize on

00:17:40
what is the latest thing and obviously Alex Jones put that

00:17:43
out and that's kind of the latest thing is, you know,

00:17:46
masks, lockdowns, vaccines, they're all coming back.

00:17:49
And you know we've got to definitely rally the troops

00:17:53
again, get excited and start pumping everyone up that, you

00:17:57
know we will not comply. Hold the line, all the things

00:18:02
and then you know everyone's sharing it.

00:18:03
Everyone's talking about it and their messages and.

00:18:07
You're right, it does. It does create buzz for sure.

00:18:12
Yeah. So I I think that's one reason

00:18:14
it definitely took off like wildfires, because it's just,

00:18:17
it's a story that everybody can get behind and it's a story that

00:18:19
everybody can rally behind. And you know what?

00:18:23
That that high of getting Instagram famous off COVID

00:18:27
stuff. It's a tough high to quit.

00:18:31
And you're chasing that high ever since if you're an

00:18:33
Instagram person who got famous during COVID.

00:18:37
Maybe you've stalled out, I don't know.

00:18:42
But it's it's definitely easy red meat.

00:18:46
Yeah, everyone has an opinion on COVID, whether you agree with it

00:18:49
or not. And, you know, I was kind of not

00:18:51
to go back to my video, but for those who don't know, I shared a

00:18:55
It was kind of a it was a clip from Mean Girls, 10 seconds

00:18:59
long, basically making fun of people.

00:19:03
Who's believe the homeschool stereotype is like just Hick

00:19:08
children who have no social skills and stuff.

00:19:10
And I shared it totally just making fun of it as a homeschool

00:19:13
parent. I was just laughing about it.

00:19:15
My girls we watched being girls and we all cracked up about the

00:19:17
scene and I'm like Oh my gosh, I have to share.

00:19:18
This is so funny. So it took off for whatever

00:19:22
reason. It got like almost 9 million

00:19:24
views and almost 1 shares and whatever and it's a

00:19:29
lot of people that shared it would comment with.

00:19:33
This is exactly Florida's education system.

00:19:36
A lot of people shared it, saying this is how I want to

00:19:39
raise my kids. It like affected both sides to

00:19:41
me. It was just funny.

00:19:42
It was humorous, you know. I laughed, shared it and but

00:19:46
both sides had opinions on it. And so I think that's probably

00:19:49
where the COVID thing, again, I'm no social media expert.

00:19:52
I'm not used to having shares of likes and anything like that.

00:19:55
Like, I was like, you know, talking about that, like, it's

00:19:57
fascinating to me what does and doesn't take off.

00:20:00
And so I think when you can do something that both sides get

00:20:04
upset about because a lot of homeschool parents were also

00:20:06
like, I homeschooled. And my kids are not like this.

00:20:08
And I'm like, I homeschool too. My kids aren't like this.

00:20:11
That's the humor in this. Then, you know, other people

00:20:13
would be like, Yep, these are, these are homeschool kids.

00:20:16
Yep, these are how Christians, this is Magga, you know, just

00:20:20
look like that. And so it riled up both sides.

00:20:24
And then of course it was humorous and so there were

00:20:26
people who just enjoyed it and shared it.

00:20:28
But I think that that was what I realized is that both sides had

00:20:31
opinions in my comments and everything.

00:20:33
And so everyone has an opinion on COVID.

00:20:35
So when you sensationalize something like COVID to 1

00:20:38
Extremity, the other people are going to share it and say no,

00:20:42
See, the the Republicans are the the conservatives.

00:20:46
They're crazy and they think this is coming back and they're

00:20:48
wrong. The conservatives are going to

00:20:50
share and say see it's happening again.

00:20:53
And and so both sides have something to say about it.

00:20:56
Whether they agree with the video or not, they're going to

00:20:58
share it and add an opinion. It's going to get the likes,

00:21:00
they're going to get the comments because people are

00:21:02
going to be like insulting or agreeing, freaking out or

00:21:05
whatever. Yeah, it's sort of like the the

00:21:08
video I I. My mind didn't go as viral as

00:21:11
yours, but this isn't a contest. The TikTok that I am, I told you

00:21:17
do. It was an impromptu video I just

00:21:20
recorded, and it was interesting.

00:21:23
The comments were sort of mixed. There were a lot of people who

00:21:25
are like, well, I hope you're right or I agree with you.

00:21:27
There was a lot of people who are like, what you need to wake

00:21:31
up. You're not paying attention.

00:21:32
Like, what are you talking about?

00:21:33
This guy's an idiot. Like stuff like that.

00:21:35
So. To your point, yeah, it gets

00:21:37
people riled up on both sides. I'm sure people will listen to

00:21:41
this podcast or watch this right now and be like you guys are

00:21:43
idiots or people will be like, no, I agree with you guys.

00:21:46
I think you guys are right. Or maybe they're not changed

00:21:49
either way. And if that's the case, then I

00:21:51
don't know. We haven't done our job to

00:21:54
present our arguments well enough, but in terms of kind of

00:21:59
like bringing down the temperature a little bit.

00:22:04
And to kind of build up my case why I don't think this is going

00:22:06
to happen Now, First off, before people jump down my throat, if

00:22:13
you're going to take the idea that all these government

00:22:17
organizations are going to lock us down or or mandate a lot of

00:22:20
this stuff, you should probably listen to what those government

00:22:24
agencies are saying. Now, this isn't to say you

00:22:27
should always trust the government, but if the

00:22:30
government really want to grasp power again.

00:22:33
And they really were looking to, like, go back to 2020 style

00:22:35
lockdowns. They'd probably be pushing

00:22:38
people to do more, or they'd be pushing people with more fear.

00:22:45
But it the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention did say

00:22:50
that some people are at higher risk for surveillance illness of

00:22:53
COVID. But the agency doesn't make a

00:22:54
broad recommendation for everyone to adopt MASS.

00:23:00
Now, obviously, the CDC recommends universal masking

00:23:03
jurisdictions that have high risk individuals.

00:23:07
Overall, there were about four new hospital admissions for

00:23:09
every 100 people nationwide in the week ending August 12th,

00:23:13
which is considered low according to CDC thresholds.

00:23:17
No counties had high levels of COVID-19 hospitalizations, but

00:23:20
85 counties, about 3% of the country, were in medium

00:23:23
threshold. About 1/4 of those counties were

00:23:25
in Florida. So right now, no one's really

00:23:30
sounding the alarm bell. And I don't think outside of

00:23:36
like Alex Jones and a lot of these social media accounts that

00:23:39
are looking to get clicks and likes, I don't really hear

00:23:42
anything about this, right? And you and I live in

00:23:47
California, right? I don't pay attention to the

00:23:50
news. We both do attention to like

00:23:51
various news stations for not just like on Fox News.

00:23:56
Right. Like we we both read a lot of

00:23:59
news because of the podcast and also because we're just nerds

00:24:01
and we love this stuff. I I haven't really heard

00:24:06
anything. I know that there was these

00:24:08
schools that people are pointing out to, that there were

00:24:10
colleges. There's Morris Brown or

00:24:12
whatever. I had never heard of this

00:24:13
school. I doubt anybody had ever heard

00:24:15
of this school until this story came out.

00:24:16
Anyway, that instituted a mask mandate.

00:24:21
But that's one school out of how many schools in the entire

00:24:24
United States? And it's not even a California

00:24:27
school. So we have very limited

00:24:31
instances of this happening. People are bringing back mass

00:24:33
mandates in very limited cases. That doesn't apply as a general

00:24:38
rule. I was reading this article.

00:24:45
I had it highlighted. Hold on.

00:24:53
It said some institutions are already reacting to the rise in

00:24:55
COVID. Morris Brown College in Atlanta

00:24:57
announced a return to mandate physical distancing and mass

00:24:59
just one week after class started in August.

00:25:03
Pediatricians are poised for the typical return to school surge

00:25:06
and all kinds of respiratory illness, whether colds, flu or

00:25:09
COVID. We are seeing an increase in

00:25:12
COVID cases. In general, the overall

00:25:13
percentage of testing at home is low, so there may be even more

00:25:16
COVID cases than we know about, especially since the vast

00:25:19
majority kids have no or mild symptoms.

00:25:23
Good news. Still good news that this new

00:25:26
These new variants don't affect children, which is good news for

00:25:29
everybody. It is.

00:25:33
Still, the majority of students do not need to wear masks and

00:25:36
should instead use traditional prevention such as hand washing,

00:25:40
coughing into their elbow and staying home when sick, says

00:25:44
this Doctor Who chairs the American Academy of Pediatrics

00:25:47
Council on School Health. The article then goes on to say,

00:25:54
despite the concern among experts and some institutions,

00:25:56
Americans don't appear to be worried enough about the recent

00:26:00
rising cases to change their behavior.

00:26:02
COVID-19 was at the bottom of their list of key public health

00:26:05
threats, according to the latest Axios Ipsos American Health

00:26:08
Index poll. So I looked up just out of

00:26:14
curiosity, have you heard of this site, Civics?

00:26:17
They do like the online polling. I don't think so.

00:26:21
I don't know. So they do like online polling,

00:26:26
it's like direct to people on the Internet.

00:26:29
You can go look it up like and it just updates like every

00:26:31
single day. This is the up-to-the-minute

00:26:36
since August 29th. How concerned are you about a

00:26:41
coronavirus outbreak in your local area?

00:26:44
So we have not concerned, a little concerned, model,

00:26:46
moderately concerned, extremely concerned or unsure.

00:26:51
The top result is 51% are not concerned at all.

00:26:54
So the majority of Americans are not concerned at all.

00:26:59
Making it even. The larger majority is a little

00:27:02
concerned or not concerned at all.

00:27:04
So only 5% of Americans right now are extremely concerned,

00:27:08
according to this this poll. To the article's point, I don't

00:27:14
think the appetite is there for people to rush back.

00:27:17
I don't think people. Are necessarily as scared of

00:27:21
COVID anymore. I don't think at this point with

00:27:23
the facts that people know they're as scared of COVID

00:27:27
anymore, which I think ruins any sort of urgency or appetite to

00:27:33
want to go back down to these style of lockdowns.

00:27:35
And again, only 5% of Americans, according to this poll, are

00:27:39
extremely concerned. You know, 15% are moderately

00:27:42
concerned. That's not that much either.

00:27:45
There's just not a large enough amount of people who are this

00:27:47
concerned about COVID anymore to comply with these Any sort of

00:27:52
lockdowns or mass mandates? They could be suggestions, they

00:27:55
could be recommendations, but I don't think they're in in any

00:28:00
way going to be popular If anybody pushes them out back on

00:28:03
the people. What do you think?

00:28:07
Well, I did a little little my own research today and what I

00:28:11
did was I went to CNN, NBC, Fox, other just random news stations,

00:28:19
LA, LA Times, New York Times. What I did was then I just did a

00:28:24
keyword search on their home page for COVID.

00:28:29
Not a single one of those news outlets had COVID on their main

00:28:32
page. It's.

00:28:35
Not. And you think those those news

00:28:38
stations would be pushing it a lot?

00:28:40
Yeah, if it were a thing, it would be on the home page right?

00:28:46
Soon it wouldn't. You wouldn't have to go trying

00:28:49
to find it if COVID is back to kill us all.

00:28:52
The one thing I thought was interesting about this poll,

00:28:55
this is kind of off topic of whether these lockdowns and

00:28:58
mandates are coming back. Look at how not concerned at all

00:29:03
spiked to be the majority and it remained the majority.

00:29:07
So like this was January 2021, it started to go up and then

00:29:12
April. July and it just kind of stayed

00:29:16
there. It went down a little bit, but

00:29:20
basically in October of 20 is that October of 21, it just went

00:29:27
up and up and up and up. So there was a point like death

00:29:32
toll passes 600 and people were not concerned about COVID.

00:29:37
We're just going to ask you, do you know how many people?

00:29:39
But OK. Yeah, it says at the top here,

00:29:41
death toll passes 600, gives you a little markers, 40 million

00:29:46
cases went down a little bit, Omicron reported.

00:29:51
And then 60 million total US cases, it started to go up and

00:29:56
up and up and just it's Biden test positive for COVID and then

00:30:03
it still goes up so. I guess they thought if Biden

00:30:06
tests positive for COVID and he survived and he's like 1000

00:30:09
years old, I guess, well, we're all going to be OK.

00:30:14
Even death toll passes 1 didn't affect people not being

00:30:17
that concerned at all about it. So the appetite I just don't

00:30:20
think is there. And I think this plays into the

00:30:24
bigger fact that everyone is trying to say, oh, they're going

00:30:29
to do this because of the election next year, like Alex

00:30:32
Jones said. Well, they're going to do this

00:30:34
because of the election and they can do the mail in ballots.

00:30:36
They can change all the rules, state of emergency, all that

00:30:39
stuff. I would say my counterpoint is

00:30:44
that the reason they're not going to do it is because of the

00:30:47
election. Hear me out.

00:30:53
I don't think they're going to do it because there's a

00:30:56
presidential election next year and you have a Democrat

00:30:59
incumbent in the White House now, right now.

00:31:02
The biggest thing that they talk about presidential election

00:31:05
right now is Trump being indicted 4 times and that he's a

00:31:08
criminal and he's being facing all these indictments and he's a

00:31:12
he's a traitor and it's treason and blah blah blah, all that

00:31:15
stuff. If you all of a sudden go back

00:31:19
to mass mandates and lockdowns and all of this stuff, do you

00:31:23
think people are going to talk about Trump being indicted

00:31:25
anymore? Or do you think they're going to

00:31:26
talk about the fact that their businesses are closing or that

00:31:29
they can't? They losing their job or that

00:31:32
the economy is ruined again? Do you think the incumbent wants

00:31:36
to go into an election year with the economy and absolute

00:31:40
shatters and because of COVID lockdowns?

00:31:44
No, right, The next seven months are going to be focused on

00:31:49
Trump. Yeah.

00:31:50
And if you and if you do this, if you bring back mass mandates.

00:31:58
Especially at the federal level, like Alex Jones is saying at TSA

00:32:01
level people are just they're not going to pay attention to

00:32:06
Trump indictments anymore. They're going to go seriously,

00:32:08
we're going back on all of this. And to the the the other point,

00:32:15
you have the Democrats who you know post Biden being elected

00:32:20
because before Biden was elected.

00:32:23
They were all coming out and saying there's no way I'm taking

00:32:24
the Trump vaccine or whatever. It's probably dangerous.

00:32:27
Even Fauci was saying for year, we won't know for years whether

00:32:31
this works or not. And then as soon as the, you

00:32:34
know, Biden was elected, Fauci was out there and he's like, oh,

00:32:36
it's safe and effective. Everybody go take the vaccine.

00:32:39
It's wonderful. And now the Democrats were the

00:32:45
biggest pushers of the vaccine. So you have all these Democrats

00:32:48
who are on the side of the vaccine, go get the vaccine.

00:32:51
It's safe. It's effective.

00:32:52
If you get it, you won't get COVID.

00:32:54
All that stuff. If you go backwards and say,

00:32:59
Nope, just kidding, we're we're in a state of emergency again

00:33:01
because we can't keep COVID under control.

00:33:04
How do you explain to all those people who took the vaccine, why

00:33:07
are we going backwards? We took the vaccine because you

00:33:10
promised. When Biden was first elected, he

00:33:13
promised. This is how we get out of

00:33:15
lockdowns. Take the vaccine.

00:33:18
This is how we get all lockdowns.

00:33:19
Newsom was saying the same thing.

00:33:21
You take the vaccine, this is how we open the state again,

00:33:23
this is how we get back to normal.

00:33:25
That was their whole thing. Take the vaccine.

00:33:27
This is how we get back to normal.

00:33:29
So for them to all of a sudden say no, we're going back to this

00:33:32
state of emergency and we're going back to lockdowns admits

00:33:34
defeat on the vaccine, which they've been pushing for so

00:33:40
long. And do you think anybody's going

00:33:42
to trust them again on anything? Relate to this ever again, where

00:33:48
they sold you a bill of goods on the vaccine, then all of a

00:33:51
sudden they tell you a couple years later, Just kidding, it

00:33:53
didn't really work. Now we have to go back to

00:33:55
lockdowns, because this is how we stop COVID.

00:33:59
I don't. The majority won't, because the

00:34:01
majority people are. Not right.

00:34:04
I think a lot of people, Democrats included, would

00:34:08
probably feel cheated and they would feel like they were lied

00:34:11
to. And that's not a good thing

00:34:14
going into again. It's not a good thing going into

00:34:17
a presidential election year when you're trying to keep a

00:34:21
very unpopular president in the White House who's already

00:34:26
vulnerable enough. I don't think going backwards on

00:34:29
this and having a lot of your base or a lot of your voters

00:34:33
question what you said three years ago and feel like they

00:34:37
were lied to is necessarily a good strategy politically.

00:34:41
To win. I mean, I'm no expert, but I

00:34:44
don't think lying to your the people who are should be voting

00:34:48
for you is a good strategy to win in 2024.

00:34:53
But but they can always say people didn't get boosted, not

00:35:01
enough people didn't get the vaccine.

00:35:03
The new variant, you have to be boosted against that.

00:35:07
They can always push that angle. They could, but even this

00:35:14
booster that they're pushing right now, I forget who they

00:35:19
They asked somebody who wasn't one of the maybe CDC or

00:35:22
something like that. I don't forget who it was.

00:35:25
They asked him whether this booster protects against this

00:35:30
variant, and he basically said no, this this booster doesn't

00:35:35
protect against this variant. So what's the point in going out

00:35:38
and getting a booster if this new variant is so scary?

00:35:41
Getting a booster doesn't necessarily protect you against

00:35:44
this variant. It protects you from the variant

00:35:47
two or three variants ago. I mean, sure, there'll be some

00:35:51
people who think like, yeah, I have to run out and get a

00:35:53
booster because that's the way to protect people and that's

00:35:56
like my civic duty. But I think a lot of people are

00:36:00
going to go, you know, I I was a good little boy or girl.

00:36:04
I took the vaccine. I wanted to do it because I

00:36:07
wanted to get back to normal. And now you're telling me I have

00:36:11
to take 456 boosters just to stay and no, no, no, I'm done.

00:36:17
Like I I did my one, I'm done. I did my two shots or whatever.

00:36:21
I'm done. Yeah, so that's they'll blame

00:36:26
all of us who didn't. What's that?

00:36:29
They'll blame all of us? Didn't get the vaccine the

00:36:33
first, second, fifth time. Yeah, but even then, but even

00:36:37
then, people who that line is something they've even dropped,

00:36:42
like they've even dropped that whole, you know, it's a pandemic

00:36:45
of the unvaccinated. Like they've even dropped that

00:36:47
line because the studies have come out and the stats have come

00:36:50
out and showed that more people are starting to get injured from

00:36:53
the vaccine. There's more people who are

00:36:55
starting to who didn't have as strong immunity against the the

00:37:00
virus as people who just did natural immunity.

00:37:03
So there's more studies coming out.

00:37:06
Showing that natural immunity was just as strong as the

00:37:10
vaccine. So they can't now go back and

00:37:12
say it was a pandemic of the invaccinated so that a lot of

00:37:18
these lines that were establishment lines are now all

00:37:22
of a sudden dropped. So they can't go back to these

00:37:25
lines because they dropped them. It's almost like if I guess they

00:37:31
kind of wish if they had that thing and Men in Black.

00:37:35
Where they could click it and make everyone forget.

00:37:39
Yeah, and like erase their memory.

00:37:41
Like if they could erase everyone's memory from the past

00:37:46
year and a half, yeah, I would say like 2 years.

00:37:50
They could get people to listen to all this and get people to

00:37:53
comply with it. But I think since the end of

00:37:57
2021, enough people have kind of now researched COVID and what

00:38:03
happened. That they're not concerned

00:38:08
anymore. They're not worried about it.

00:38:11
They've looked at the numbers and that they've just moved on.

00:38:14
They've just moved on with their lives and said this is it, we we

00:38:17
did what we're supposed to do. It'll always be around and we're

00:38:23
just going to live with it. So I be, you know, I agree with

00:38:28
you. I was just trying to bring up

00:38:32
points from talking points from the other side of things that

00:38:35
can possibly Are we still on YouTube?

00:38:37
I don't know. I haven't checked.

00:38:40
Yeah, we're still on YouTube. Drop.

00:38:42
Yeah, we got kicked off YouTube. We're still on Rumble.

00:38:45
So rumble should we go? Really controversial like you

00:38:51
said, you want to get spicy? Are we going to bring up the

00:38:54
fact that it was Trump who pushed the vaccine in the 1st

00:38:58
place and Trump who locked us down in the first place?

00:39:01
Oh, absolutely. I actually have the video all

00:39:05
queued up and ready to go all ready with this.

00:39:09
It's almost like I had this planned out.

00:39:12
We didn't. No, this wasn't a bit like we

00:39:15
practiced. So yeah, Trump released a video.

00:39:20
I don't know when it was on X. He still says he no.

00:39:27
This is his. This is his Team Trump account.

00:39:31
Although he'd share his mugshot as of two days ago on Twitter.

00:39:37
So he's he's sort of back on X, but he's not all the way back

00:39:42
because if you look at he's willing to produce videos for it

00:39:45
and just let his team, OK? Yeah, it's go ahead.

00:39:48
It's Team Trump. It's not Trump himself.

00:39:51
It's almost like his pseudo account, like he's still

00:39:53
tweeting everything through Team Trump, but he's also like.

00:39:57
He's not personally tweeting, even though he just personally

00:40:00
tweeted his. Mugshot We have an M&M Slim

00:40:03
Shady M&M situation going on. Yeah, which I did.

00:40:07
It's like Garth Brooks and Chris Gaines sort of situation say

00:40:11
that when he did that movie and. That's an old reference if you

00:40:16
don't remember the Garth Brooks, Chris Gaines.

00:40:20
You have to be like an old school country fans.

00:40:22
Remember that. And then he did a performance on

00:40:25
SNL and everyone's like, this is weird.

00:40:27
What's going on here? We came to see Garth Brooks

00:40:29
seeing friends in low places. All right, so this is a video he

00:40:33
just released. I don't know how.

00:40:36
Oh, as of yesterday, he released it.

00:40:40
So let's watch, and he can see what Trump has to say.

00:40:45
Wing lunatics are trying very hard to bring back COVID

00:40:48
lockdowns and mandates with all of their sudden fear mongering

00:40:54
about the new variants that are coming.

00:40:56
Gee whiz, you know what else is coming in election.

00:40:58
They want to restart the COVID hysteria so they can justify

00:41:02
more lockdowns, more censorship, more illegal drop boxes, more

00:41:06
mail in ballots. And trillions of dollars in

00:41:08
payoffs to their political allies heading into the 2024

00:41:13
election. Does that sound familiar?

00:41:15
These are bad people. These are sick people we're

00:41:17
dealing with. But to every COVID tyrant who

00:41:19
wants to take away our freedom, hear these words, we will not

00:41:24
comply. So don't even think about it.

00:41:27
We will not shut down our schools.

00:41:29
We will not accept your lockdowns.

00:41:32
We will not abide by your mask mandates.

00:41:35
And we will not tolerate your vaccine mandates.

00:41:38
They rigged the 2020 election, and now they're trying to do the

00:41:42
same thing all over again by rigging the most important

00:41:46
election in the history of our country, the 2024 election, even

00:41:50
if it means trying to bring back COVID.

00:41:53
But they will fail because we will not let it happen.

00:41:57
When I'm back in the White House, I will use every

00:41:59
available authority to cut federal funding to any school,

00:42:02
college, airline, or public transportation system that

00:42:06
imposes a mask mandate or a vaccine mandate.

00:42:10
Thank you very much. Thank you very much.

00:42:13
And that I think the people are loving the fact that there's a

00:42:17
community note under it that says the Trump administration,

00:42:19
along with other federal agencies, began to lock down

00:42:22
social distancing rules in 2020. President Trump issued national

00:42:26
guidelines that include closing schools and avoiding bars,

00:42:29
restaurants, and groups of more than 10.

00:42:31
And the comments are just priceless.

00:42:35
There's a lot of good comments. First one is this is beyond

00:42:40
hilarious community notes with another headshot.

00:42:45
Remember when you gave Fauci in Burke's The Presidential Medals

00:42:48
of Commendation? Good times.

00:42:53
Let's see. Some people were like, Oh yeah,

00:42:57
say, huh, A lot of people are rooting for him.

00:43:01
We'll never comply. I've never voted harder in favor

00:43:05
of a favor of a community note. Anyway, I'm going to throw

00:43:12
something out. I'm going to.

00:43:12
I'm going to get myself canceled.

00:43:14
OK, could it be that enough Republicans were angry about the

00:43:21
lockdowns that mask mandates and the vaccine mandates still fresh

00:43:26
in their minds and hearts, and didn't vote for Trump?

00:43:34
In 2020, yes. I think, and this goes hand in

00:43:43
hand with the last episode we did, which was about the

00:43:47
presidential debate and that Trump did not go debate.

00:43:51
There's a lot of people who I think have a valid concern and

00:43:55
issue with how Trump handled 2020.

00:43:58
I think there's a valid concern there and a lot of people want

00:44:01
him to answer for what he did. Yes, and I an apology.

00:44:08
To say maybe, you know, I put the wrong people in place.

00:44:12
Maybe I shouldn't have trusted Fauci and Dr. Burks.

00:44:17
Maybe I shouldn't have put out these?

00:44:19
National guidelines regarding lockdowns and stay at home

00:44:24
orders. And while people can get into

00:44:27
the sort of, yeah, I get it, the technicality of like, well,

00:44:31
technically the federal government can't lock you down.

00:44:33
It has to be your state that actually issued it.

00:44:35
But the states followed the federal guidance that Fauci and

00:44:42
Dr. Burks and the Trump administration put out.

00:44:45
So once he put that out, you sort of let open Pandora's box

00:44:49
and let these Democratic governors run wild with a lot of

00:44:52
these state of emergencies to help people stay at home.

00:44:56
And at that point it was too late.

00:44:57
Like once you let that happen, it was just too late.

00:45:00
And Trump could have put it back in the box.

00:45:04
But again, it's it's odd that now he's taking a tough stance

00:45:06
on it when in 2020 you were the president of the United States

00:45:12
and you could have taken more action.

00:45:15
And I think a lot of people are frustrated with that about

00:45:18
Trump. Now all of a sudden he has a

00:45:20
video where he says I'll defund or I'll take away funding for

00:45:23
these federal agencies that impose mass mandates.

00:45:28
You could have done that in 2020.

00:45:31
If that was that serious, you had the ability to do so.

00:45:37
You could have fired Fauci. You could have done a lot of

00:45:39
things. It's easy to Monday morning

00:45:44
quarterback after you're not president anymore and say Oh

00:45:48
well my base thinks this is really popular and this really

00:45:52
resonates with them while. So I'm going to say it like

00:45:54
this, but also ignore the fact that I was the sort of

00:45:59
grandfather of all of all of it in 2020.

00:46:02
And I know we're probably going to get some hate for it, but

00:46:06
it's true. He started it all.

00:46:09
And and if it wasn't for Trump and his guidelines and lock in

00:46:12
and the lockdown procedures and all that, we wouldn't even be

00:46:16
talking about lockdown to mass mandates at this point.

00:46:18
So it would I maybe maybe states would have done their own thing,

00:46:24
but there wouldn't have been this unified lockdown mass

00:46:27
mandates and all that stuff. So yeah, I think.

00:46:33
It's kind of ironic that he's now coming out super tough about

00:46:36
lockdowns and using it as a political point when he started

00:46:42
it in 2020. Yeah, right.

00:46:48
School, schools were, kids were kept out.

00:46:51
You know I remember I think my niece was graduating that year

00:46:54
and she didn't get a graduation and that was a whole thing with

00:46:58
all this. Or there's maybe it's the

00:46:59
following year where all those kids didn't get their senior

00:47:02
year of high school, stuff like that and and that was all under

00:47:06
him and then but I guess it could have been both extremes.

00:47:11
The Republicans that tend to you don't want the freedom and don't

00:47:14
want the government to impose anything like that and that

00:47:16
we're seeing their businesses affected.

00:47:18
We're probably like angry about that.

00:47:21
But then COVID deaths were still going up.

00:47:24
And even if the vaccine, it wasn't a done deal.

00:47:28
And so then the Liberals were like, this man isn't doing

00:47:30
anything. I am definitely voting against

00:47:32
him. And so there, I mean he, he was

00:47:36
handed a big thing to deal with at the end of his presidency,

00:47:39
right before an election, for sure.

00:47:41
Yeah. And no, I don't think that COVID

00:47:43
was made-up. And no, I don't think it was

00:47:45
especially made-up so that he wouldn't get reelected.

00:47:48
I don't have those feelings. Yeah, I think it's.

00:47:53
Again, it's it's hard for him in the moment to decide.

00:47:56
I think probably a lot of people were telling him at the time

00:48:00
that he had to do this. Doesn't change the fact that he

00:48:04
did. It doesn't change the fact that

00:48:05
they passed and spent trillions of dollars and printed trillions

00:48:08
of dollars into the economy. Everyone got their Trump bucks

00:48:13
just like they got Biden bucks. So I I mean all the stuff.

00:48:19
That happened with that they kind of go after Biden for.

00:48:22
And Biden was sort of like at the tail end of it, really.

00:48:25
He still kind of did some of this stuff.

00:48:28
But Trump really kind of instituted, had to deal with it

00:48:30
all in 2020. Yeah, it's easy now to look back

00:48:35
and say he shouldn't have done this, that or the other thing it

00:48:38
there was a lot of pressure. And to your point, yeah, you're

00:48:41
right, he could. He probably was looking at

00:48:44
politically on both sides, saying, well, the Republicans.

00:48:48
Don't want these lockdowns and they don't want mass mandates.

00:48:52
People on the left want this stuff, and they want me to be

00:48:54
tough on the vaccine. People in the middle might be a

00:48:58
little bit of combination of both.

00:49:00
They may want to go back to normal, but they also want me to

00:49:02
be tough on the vaccine. And you're in a presidential

00:49:06
election year and you're trying to get reelected.

00:49:07
And it's the first time in American history I think we've

00:49:10
ever seen a presidential election go the way it did,

00:49:14
where one candidate didn't even actually come out of his

00:49:16
basement. So it's it is interesting to go

00:49:21
back, but I think there would be a little bit more self-awareness

00:49:25
on his part if he said, you know, yeah, we did this in 2020.

00:49:32
There is some bad people who advised me.

00:49:35
I mean, he can even do the Trumpian thing.

00:49:36
Like either. There were some nasty people who

00:49:38
advised me. They were very evil people who

00:49:40
advised me. I was trying to save as many and

00:49:44
help as many Americans as possible, but I learned we'll

00:49:47
never go back and we'll never do that again.

00:49:50
But he'll never He'll never admit a mistake like that.

00:49:52
So no, We'll never get that humble Trump.

00:49:55
No. But also, and now I'm gonna

00:49:57
sound like I hate Trump and I don't.

00:50:00
But he is always placing the blame on the very bad people,

00:50:03
the nasty people and the wrong people who gave him the bad

00:50:06
advice. But that shows lack of

00:50:07
discernment on his part. If he has surrounded himself

00:50:10
with all these terrible, nasty, bad people that he listened to,

00:50:12
then he doesn't have discernment there.

00:50:15
Right. Yeah, it's, it's it's a comment

00:50:18
on who he has and who he hires and who he has around him.

00:50:23
Now, I have never been anywhere near president.

00:50:25
So that's obviously, you know, what would I do in that moment?

00:50:29
I'm never running for president, but I get that there's, you

00:50:33
know, hindsight. There's in the moment, there is

00:50:35
pressure. But I like you've been going

00:50:38
back to now to Santas. You know, when we talked about

00:50:41
the debate the other night and to Santas, you know, I won't

00:50:45
lock down. And the lock downs and lock

00:50:46
downs, it's like, well, you cave to pressure.

00:50:49
So quit putting the blame on everyone else.

00:50:51
Like, apologize. Say you were wrong.

00:50:56
Say you or, you know you thought what you were doing, what was

00:50:59
right in the moment. And you've since learned that

00:51:01
was not right or whatever, but just admit that you were wrong.

00:51:07
But now, yeah, he's playing this tough guy that he'll never do

00:51:10
these things. And so he did those things.

00:51:12
You literally did those things. So.

00:51:15
So you're a changed man. Do we want to change man,

00:51:18
though? Because everyone's like, well,

00:51:19
we know we'll get with Trump. I don't know if he's a changed

00:51:21
man. Do we know we would get with

00:51:22
Trump? I think there's a lot of value

00:51:26
in. Kind of saying if if you were

00:51:32
DeSantis to be like, I think it almost makes you look a little

00:51:36
bit better if you say, yeah, we, we originally followed the

00:51:39
federal guidelines because it was so new and people didn't

00:51:42
know. But as we learned and looked at

00:51:46
the statistics, and my advisors and us talked about it, we made

00:51:50
the decision to go ahead and reopen Florida and remove all

00:51:55
lockdowns and mask mandates. I suppose to President Trump,

00:52:01
who continued with all this and didn't really do anything to get

00:52:04
rid of the lockdowns and the mass mandates in the entire

00:52:06
country, right? That could be a solid.

00:52:11
This podcast wasn't supposed to go here, sorry.

00:52:14
No, I mean it. I I think.

00:52:16
But I think it lends into the idea of like this is a political

00:52:20
issue and it's the hot potato. Whoever's in control is going to

00:52:25
have to deal with this. And that's why I just don't see.

00:52:29
Politically, my mantra is usually always true.

00:52:35
People in power will do anything to hold on to power, and they

00:52:40
will never do anything that risks losing power.

00:52:45
I mean, jeez, just look at the fact that Mitch McConnell can't

00:52:49
get through a presser without freezing and forgetting what to

00:52:53
say. Or the fact that Dianne

00:52:56
Feinstein has to be wheeled around in a wheelchair and she

00:52:59
can't even, like, walk anymore. People in power don't ever want

00:53:03
to relinquish power, and they won't do things to risk losing

00:53:07
power is. So if you're going into a

00:53:10
presidential election year and all the heat is on your

00:53:15
opponent, you're basically your assumed opponent.

00:53:20
Why would you all of a sudden do something to bring all the heat

00:53:23
back on to you and focus on you? You wouldn't.

00:53:29
You wouldn't. So why would the federal

00:53:30
government and the Biden administration put this out

00:53:34
there again, to potentially lose the election in 2024?

00:53:41
So back to your original point. People in power like to stay in

00:53:47
power. And I know if you want to go

00:53:52
down the the Alex Jones rabbit hole, that yeah, there's much

00:53:56
bigger players. It's the WEF and the I MF and

00:53:59
all that stuff. And they want to destroy our

00:54:01
economy because they didn't do a good enough job the first time

00:54:04
COVID came around and we really have to destroy the economy so

00:54:07
everyone's slaves. I mean that's that's when you

00:54:13
get into the tinfoil hat stuff. My wife made a really good

00:54:18
point. And I think it was, it was a

00:54:21
really brilliant point, which is in terms of all of these

00:54:24
lockdowns and mass mandates, you'd have to get every other

00:54:28
country in the world to get back on board.

00:54:33
I just don't see that happening. I just don't you.

00:54:37
It's hard at this point with what people know about COVID, to

00:54:42
get every country back on board again without there being

00:54:46
absolute. Incredible pushback from the

00:54:49
people. You know, I do.

00:54:53
I see like if we went back to lockdown to mass mandates, do I

00:54:56
see like Mexico going back to mass mandates and lockdowns?

00:54:59
No, I don't see that. Do I see countries like Italy

00:55:04
and the European Union doing it again?

00:55:07
No, because they're a very Conservative government.

00:55:10
So it's again, I I just don't see it happening.

00:55:14
There's not the momentum anymore.

00:55:16
There's not the political will anymore.

00:55:20
They know that it's a losing issue.

00:55:23
Americans don't really aren't concerned about it anymore.

00:55:29
And yeah, and I think if if they were to try it again, it just

00:55:35
would backfire. It would absolutely backfire on

00:55:37
their face and especially someone like Newsome who wants

00:55:40
to run for president, whether it's next year or 2028.

00:55:45
If he were to go back to 2020 style lockdowns and mass

00:55:49
mandates here in California, he would be admitting defeat when

00:55:53
he got to take a victory lap on how he handled COVID and COVID,

00:55:57
you know, look at how I handled COVID and we got the numbers

00:55:59
down so low and this is how you handled it.

00:56:04
And then you have someone like Ron De Santis who was like, I

00:56:06
did the complete opposite and I'm not going back to lockdown

00:56:09
some mandates because we're just fine.

00:56:11
What did you do wrong in your state that now all of a sudden

00:56:14
it's? It's running wild again, so

00:56:17
yeah. I mean that's that's basically

00:56:21
my my feelings. I just don't see it and I just

00:56:24
don't see. I just don't see the the writing

00:56:27
on the wall. Maybe I'm not woke enough or

00:56:30
awake enough. Maybe I'm not paying attention

00:56:32
enough. But I just look at it logically

00:56:36
and think that I don't think it's coming back.

00:56:39
I just don't see it. I just don't see the political

00:56:41
will and I just don't see. I just don't say it.

00:56:45
So what do you think? I think I already told you what

00:56:51
I think. The other thing I wanted to

00:56:56
Yeah, go ahead. Well, back to what I told you

00:56:59
about, like searching on the news pages.

00:57:01
I think I told you I did a similar thing on Twitter X where

00:57:07
I they searched the #lockdowns and all the top stories were all

00:57:11
just Republicans sensationalizing it with We will

00:57:16
not comply, We will not comply. But I couldn't find anything

00:57:19
about actual like anything showing reasons that we might

00:57:24
possibly lock down. It was just simply the

00:57:27
Republicans saying, Oh my God, we're going to lock down, don't

00:57:29
comply. Right, there's another article

00:57:36
that I was looking at regarding. It's from factcheck.org.

00:57:44
No support for viral claim that COVID-19 lockdowns are returning

00:57:48
and it actually it addresses Alex Jones talks about the

00:57:54
claims. You talked to a TSA blah blah

00:57:56
blah. TSA spokesperson denied Jones

00:58:00
claim, noting that the Center for Disease Control and

00:58:02
Prevention, not TSA, is the federal agency responsible for

00:58:05
transportation mass requirements.

00:58:08
TSA is unaware of such a requirement, the spokesperson

00:58:10
told us an e-mail. There was no TSA meeting on the

00:58:13
topic. Of course, if you go the full

00:58:17
Alex Jones route, they'll probably say of course that's

00:58:20
what they're going to say. CDC similarly said the claims

00:58:23
were untrue. These rumors are utterly false.

00:58:27
Moreover, all the talk of the body administration reimposing

00:58:29
lockdowns is not even legally feasible.

00:58:32
The restrictions that were put into place on businesses on

00:58:35
going to movie theater, on going to the retail mall.

00:58:38
All of those were done by States and local governments, not the

00:58:40
federal government. Public health log start.

00:58:43
Well, yeah, that's the technicality, but usually states

00:58:46
follow federal guidance. I don't know those Parmec guys

00:58:56
are talking about, but, he said. That legally, TSA could,

00:59:00
probably could impose mass mandates on its employees, but

00:59:03
those would not extend to all airport workers or to

00:59:06
passengers. That would be a labor law issue,

00:59:09
she said. And there might be push back

00:59:11
from the union. The CDC's ability to impose a

00:59:14
face mask mandate during travel has been contested in court.

00:59:17
Permit is one of many public health and public health law

00:59:20
experts who signed in Amica's brief supporting the CDC on the

00:59:23
issue. The CDC's previous order expired

00:59:26
to the end of the public health emergency in May and had already

00:59:29
become unenforceable in April 2022 due to a court order.

00:59:33
I think CDC would be extremely wary, and I suspect that the by

00:59:36
administration will be exceptionally wary right now for

00:59:38
both litigation and political reasons to go down that route.

00:59:41
Unless they feel is absolutely essential.

00:59:46
Yeah, and that's one thing I think people forgot about.

00:59:48
Like that was the biggest hole in Alex Jones's argument is

00:59:51
there was a court case that banned.

00:59:54
Or, yeah, effectively ended the mass Band-Aid on all mass

00:59:58
transit on public transit. It was later vacated.

01:00:03
It's kind of technical what happened to it.

01:00:06
They appealed it and because it was no longer in effect because

01:00:09
it expired, they vacated the old ruling.

01:00:12
But assuming that they get the same facts and they do it again,

01:00:17
bring the same lawsuit back in the same court, same judge will

01:00:20
give it the same issue. But basically the court already

01:00:27
said that they don't have the power to do this.

01:00:32
So that's when it it wasn't a wasn't a decree by the by

01:00:37
administration wasn't like they ended it.

01:00:40
They got smacked down in court on this.

01:00:43
And I remember we, we were actually flying to Jersey the

01:00:48
week it got banned, which was amazing.

01:00:52
So like all of a sudden we, we got the news and we're like,

01:00:54
wait, we don't have to wear masks on planes anymore?

01:00:57
And sure enough, like all the news all over the place in the

01:01:00
airports was like due to order by a federal judge.

01:01:04
And this did you no longer have to wear masks on planes or in

01:01:07
airports. So already there were enough

01:01:10
legal challenges and there's enough case law and there's

01:01:12
enough cases that were litigated that a lot of these issues and a

01:01:17
lot of these powers aren't even really enforceable anymore.

01:01:21
Like they thought, yeah, it was the Wild West in 2020 when all

01:01:25
this started, and nobody really had the answers to it.

01:01:29
But as more cases were litigated and more cases got through the

01:01:34
appeals court into the Supreme Court, I think that that that

01:01:38
power got cut back dramatically over time in the courts.

01:01:42
So I don't think they even legally have the power to do a

01:01:45
lot of these things anymore, which is the one thing that Alex

01:01:48
Jones kind of left out was this was already litigating court and

01:01:54
they already said they don't have the power to do it.

01:01:56
So one fact to take to the bank. I mean, you could have opened

01:02:02
with that. I could have opened with that.

01:02:05
But you know, you saved the best for last.

01:02:07
You want to do the grand finale of like legally, They probably

01:02:12
don't even have the power to do. They most likely don't have the

01:02:14
power to do this. TSA definitely doesn't have the

01:02:18
power to impose mask mandates on passengers.

01:02:21
That's not what TSA is for. So yeah, more of the story.

01:02:29
I could be proven right in three months, We could be proven right

01:02:33
in three months, or we could be absolutely wrong and no one will

01:02:38
ever take us seriously again. After this podcast, we'll.

01:02:41
Have to change our identities? Yep.

01:02:44
We'll probably have to drop the podcast and never do it again

01:02:49
because we'll be, we'll be booed out of everywhere.

01:02:53
But anyway, my final thought, I don't think it's happening.

01:02:57
I don't see it. I don't see the appetite.

01:02:59
I don't see the political appetite.

01:03:01
I don't see Americans going along with it.

01:03:04
And that's it. That's my opinion and I'm

01:03:09
sticking to it. Any final thoughts?

01:03:13
I don't. Think so?

01:03:17
Did that sum it up pretty well? Yeah, I think so.

01:03:20
I liked how for an hour you shared your opinion and then

01:03:23
just backed it up with the actual case case text.

01:03:27
You're just like open, by the way.

01:03:28
You don't like my opinion? Well, if you don't like my

01:03:33
opinion, go argue with a federal judge over in Florida because

01:03:37
that federal judge says they don't even have the legal power

01:03:39
to do so. So Yep, that's that's it.

01:03:43
I think they're not coming back and I think it would be stupid

01:03:49
for Democrats in power like the by administration even try and

01:03:52
entertain all this coming back and it'd be political suicide

01:03:57
and nobody likes to lose power. So with that said, that's our

01:04:04
show for this evening. We did two this week.

01:04:08
We'll be back next. Well, actually, you might not be

01:04:10
back next week unless we do it on Thursday.

01:04:12
We'll we'll figure out scheduling but we'll let you

01:04:15
know trying. We're we're trying to work on

01:04:20
something and hopefully we can announce it formally soon.

01:04:25
We're going to leave that teaser out there might be going on the

01:04:29
road and doing something different but we'll announce

01:04:33
that as we get more details and it gets closer to that time.

01:04:38
But with that said, as I end every show, if you like this

01:04:41
show, make sure you like, share, subscribe, review, share it with

01:04:45
somebody that you think would enjoy the show.

01:04:49
Someone who might be more comforted by the fact that I

01:04:53
don't think mandates or lockdowns are coming back.

01:04:55
Or share it with someone to be like this guy is an idiot and

01:04:59
you should listen to him being an idiot because I think they're

01:05:01
absolutely coming back and how dare you question Alex Jones or

01:05:04
Trump. But with that said, make sure

01:05:07
you do all those things like I mentioned.

01:05:10
And yeah, see you on the next one.

01:05:14
