Every Wednesday morning at 9am on Instagram, I go live and discuss California Politics over coffee.
On this episode we discuss Pelosi's trip to Taiwan and what it means for the global stage, California set to pass "safe" drug use sites bill, and could we be seeing the end of the California handgun roster after the Bruen decision?

If you're a California, conservative a Libertarian, a
00:00:09
moderate Democrat. Believe in common sense or just
00:00:12
the same person. This is the political podcast
00:00:15
for you. It's the California underground
00:00:17
podcast. What's going on everybody?
00:00:21
Good morning. Thanks for tuning in to another
00:00:23
episode of coffee and California politics.
00:00:26
We have a full news Roundup today which is sort of the point
00:00:31
of coffee and only politics is too.
00:00:34
When I can turn this way down, what is going on?
00:00:42
My recording was a little bit too loud and it's blowing up all
00:00:45
over. So make sure I've turned down a
00:00:47
little bit so it's not blowing. Everyone speakers out.
00:00:49
Yeah. Full day of news, this is sort
00:00:51
of always the point of coughing, California politics is the talk
00:00:54
about the news and what's going on.
00:00:56
While also taking your comments and questions at the end, we
00:00:59
discuss what's going on, whatever's on your mind.
00:01:01
And it's part of the fun of the show is listening to you guys
00:01:04
and hear what you have to say and what topics you really want
00:01:07
to talk about. That's why it's really more of
00:01:08
an interactive show where I talk for a little bit and then we
00:01:12
kind of go into questions and comments and stuff like that.
00:01:16
So, couple announcements not really any Announcements just
00:01:20
kind of plugging away tomorrow night at 8 p.m. we have Natalie
00:01:23
coming back, you know, Natalie, she's been on the show a couple
00:01:26
times before several times before, actually we're going to
00:01:29
do a whole podcast on what we are going to call pandemic
00:01:33
pandemonium, we're going to talk about what happened with covid,
00:01:37
obviously, monkeypox, what's going on there?
00:01:41
In the state of emergency? Everyone's been asking me does
00:01:44
the State of Emergency that Newsom?
00:01:46
Just declared override the Covid state of emergency and the truth
00:01:52
is no they don't. They kind of overlap.
00:01:54
Basically what a state of emergency means is that they can
00:01:58
end run around the legislature and they can get funding and
00:02:01
stuff like that Federal funding to address any of these issues.
00:02:05
But obviously the, you know, if they need to get stuff done
00:02:08
quick, they just want state of emergency.
00:02:09
So we're going to talk about that.
00:02:11
We're going to talk about sort of the differences between
00:02:14
monkey pox and covid in the sense of how they're treating it
00:02:18
one way over. Mother and maybe some reasons
00:02:21
why and why I think they've shot themselves in the foot.
00:02:24
So we're talk about that tomorrow. 8:00 p.m.
00:02:26
I think it's going to be a really good ones.
00:02:27
It's going to be pretty spicy. Hopefully, we don't get taken
00:02:30
down off YouTube, because I'm going to try my best to site to,
00:02:35
as many authoritative sources as possible.
00:02:38
So when they try and bring up anything and say, look, we we
00:02:40
cited from all these authoritative sources that you
00:02:43
approve of, and this is where we're getting our information
00:02:45
from and trying to be as factual as possible, because you never
00:02:48
know the only My ever got a warning on YouTube was when I
00:02:54
think is the gals from reopen, San Diego came on and they had,
00:03:00
they were talking about a whole bunch of things and back then.
00:03:03
What they were saying was deemed misinformation.
00:03:05
It was later obviously proven true.
00:03:08
But nobody ever wants to admit that they were wrong.
00:03:10
So somebody said join Rumble. I am on Rumble.
00:03:14
I got to get better at like posting videos up on Rumble as
00:03:17
well. It's a little bit tougher.
00:03:20
Just to remember that. I just got started doing that.
00:03:23
So in Rumble doesn't do live so it's tougher to do the rumble
00:03:28
unless you're like a big content producer, like a Steven Crowder
00:03:31
or Ben Shapiro or something like that.
00:03:34
It's you can't really do live shows, like, live YouTube shows,
00:03:38
you can do those live streaming shows, unless you're sort of a
00:03:41
big guy and they, they were. But then again, I haven't
00:03:44
checked on it in a while, so maybe it's gotten better, I
00:03:48
don't know. So, That's basically it and
00:03:52
rumbles fine, but, you know, I think it's important that you
00:03:56
also are out there on YouTube so that people can find you people
00:04:01
outside of your bubble can find you.
00:04:03
And it's not just always the same old people because there's
00:04:06
it, let's be honest. There are the certain people,
00:04:08
you know, there's people who learn lean a certain way
00:04:11
politically are going to be a rumble, you know, it's going to
00:04:14
be talking in a lot in an echo chamber of people who generally
00:04:18
agree with you. You're not really kind of
00:04:21
pushing the narrative or pushing the needle on anything.
00:04:24
So yeah, that's why I kind of stay away from from stuff, like,
00:04:29
Rumble and stuff like that. Just because I don't think an
00:04:32
echo chamber is what's going to solve this.
00:04:34
I think we have to sit down actually talk about a lot of
00:04:36
things and maybe someone stumbles on my video and maybe
00:04:39
they like it and maybe they disagree, but they also agree on
00:04:41
some other points in that. Be great.
00:04:43
So that was a little bit more of a tangent than we were expecting
00:04:46
but last week was fantastic, Dan focusing.
00:04:51
We are lucky enough to do it live in his office which was
00:04:55
fantastic. I signed up for parlors.
00:04:58
I want to say that. What about parlor?
00:05:00
I signed up for it when it first came out I haven't used parlor.
00:05:04
I haven't used. I took all those apps off my
00:05:06
phone. I didn't even sign up for truth
00:05:08
social. Everyone's like you should get
00:05:10
on true Soldier on like first off.
00:05:11
I heard, it's super buggy. I heard you're one bajillion
00:05:15
thin line or whatever when you sign up for the waiting list at
00:05:19
the end of the Today like what am I going to get on true social
00:05:21
that I'm not going to get anywhere else?
00:05:23
Like I'm you know there's other avenues of where I can get this
00:05:26
information. I don't have to join true social
00:05:29
Minds. I've heard good things about
00:05:30
mine's a little bit different because it's not like it's not a
00:05:33
more of a political thing. So, my face, some of my favorite
00:05:39
creators content creators are on mines, who's one of them?
00:05:44
Black pigeon speaks, who's a great YouTube guy.
00:05:47
I love watching these videos. You know, when I'm watching him
00:05:51
and he walks into the room, it's usually she says, like oh,
00:05:55
you're watching your dark conspiracy videos.
00:05:57
I'm like, they're not dark conspiracy videos, they're just
00:06:00
their subjects that most people don't really talk about and he
00:06:03
does a really good job covering it.
00:06:05
So if you never checked out black, pigeon speaks.
00:06:07
Check out black pitch and speaks.
00:06:08
He's very good. His videos are very, very
00:06:11
informative and they're pretty, you know, he doesn't have an
00:06:15
agenda. You just try to tell people
00:06:16
what's going on. So anyway, Mine's is fine.
00:06:20
I haven't really looked into minds but I think it's important
00:06:24
to stay in the mainstream. I think it's really important
00:06:27
for anyone who's like, right of Center.
00:06:29
You got to stay in the mainstream, right?
00:06:31
You got to stay in the mainstream, you gotta be
00:06:33
engaging, you gotta be on Twitter, you gotta be on
00:06:35
YouTube. Sometimes you got to learn to
00:06:37
play the game. Biggest contributors know that
00:06:41
Ben Shapiro knows that Steven Crowder knows that these guys
00:06:44
were, like, enormous followings. They all know.
00:06:46
It's important to stay on YouTube and Twitter and That and
00:06:53
yeah I think it's important. People don't just run away from
00:06:56
those those forums. They may not be fair and that's
00:07:01
one of their another but the more content you put out there
00:07:04
in the more content they don't take down you never know.
00:07:07
Like for example the one thing we talked about and this is this
00:07:11
will be the last tangent before we start talking about what the
00:07:13
news is today. Because there's a lot of news
00:07:15
going on if if there's contact Tent out there, people will find
00:07:21
it, right? And that's one of the things is
00:07:23
when you're when you do a podcast or you do videos or
00:07:26
stuff like that, sometimes you don't see the immediate you
00:07:31
don't see the immediate return, you know, a lot of people don't
00:07:34
see the immediate return, they want to see like oh I put up a
00:07:38
video and they check it 24 hours later and they go.
00:07:41
I didn't see a lot of use Sometimes it doesn't work like
00:07:47
that. Sometimes you watch views
00:07:49
continue to grow as time goes on because people look for that
00:07:53
stuff and YouTube especially being connected into Google and
00:07:57
stuff. Like that SEO plays a factor in
00:08:00
it, one of the biggest things I know, if I type in, for example,
00:08:04
major Williams. If you go to Google and type in
00:08:05
major Williams, you know, it's his stuff and then fourth, or
00:08:09
fifth down is my video. That kind of like was the first
00:08:12
one to expose Him about all his campaign Finance.
00:08:15
So now every time someone goes to search for major Williams
00:08:19
fourth or fifth search down, you get to see my video and that
00:08:23
stuff that like it has to be out there.
00:08:25
And it has to be on these big platforms that people can
00:08:27
discover if it's tucked away in rumble or parlor or true social
00:08:31
or anything like that. People are going to stumble upon
00:08:34
it that easily. They're not going to find it,
00:08:36
you're not going to Google this stuff and find rumble or true
00:08:40
social stuff on Google or DuckDuckGo.
00:08:43
Any of those search engines, you're not, you're just not
00:08:45
going to find it. So it's important that you
00:08:47
create the content. It stays out there, it matures
00:08:51
it grows, and people can go find it.
00:08:54
And that's really what it comes down to and I still get comments
00:08:57
on videos, are like two years old.
00:09:01
And yeah, I mean, it's interesting to see the comments.
00:09:06
We were like thanks for posting this.
00:09:07
I didn't even know about this stuff.
00:09:09
So yeah, so if you're a content creator keep engaging on the
00:09:12
main platform. Don't shy away from the main
00:09:14
five. Or so much said, so major
00:09:16
Williams is making you famous. I would say, major Williams is
00:09:20
making me famous. I would say that video,
00:09:22
specifically definitely had a big impact on the trajectory of
00:09:27
this account before because it kind of got picked up picked up,
00:09:32
a lot of steam and brought a lot of people, a lot of eyeballs and
00:09:35
stuff like that. But no major Williams himself is
00:09:37
not making me famous, that's for sure.
00:09:41
And as always, I have my trusty co-host.
00:09:43
When he who's here with us snoring away enjoying her
00:09:47
morning. So let's get into let's get into
00:09:53
some of the news that has a lot of news.
00:09:55
I want to talk about and talk about Nancy Pelosi going to
00:09:58
Taiwan and why that's a big deal, you know, mrs.
00:10:00
Pelosi goes to Taiwan, I'm not a big foreign policy person.
00:10:05
I thought this would be more of a story.
00:10:07
I guess it's not really that big of a story.
00:10:09
Obviously, he's trying to saber-rattling that they don't
00:10:12
like the fact that anybody He from the us is going and anyone
00:10:17
is going over to Taiwan and recognizing that Taiwan is a
00:10:20
country, which is causing a lot of problems.
00:10:23
I don't know if it's poking the Bear in terms of China while I
00:10:25
miss. You know, why is Pelosi going
00:10:28
over to? I think she's going on some big
00:10:30
lake southeast Asia trip all by herself or she's going with the
00:10:34
delegation, not really that important.
00:10:37
But it's something to keep an eye on because it did kind of
00:10:40
poke the bear a little bit in terms of What is happening in
00:10:46
terms of global policy? When it comes to China?
00:10:48
And obviously, I want to talk about because it was Nancy
00:10:50
Pelosi. I don't really have much more to
00:10:53
say about it. She's you know, the military
00:10:56
said don't go. They thought it was a bad idea
00:11:01
this. In terms of this policy from
00:11:04
this Administration, we have seen that this Administration is
00:11:07
not as tough on China, As Trump was Trump was definitely tougher
00:11:11
on China, there are a lot more China.
00:11:13
Ooh, Hawks as they call them in the administration of Donald
00:11:16
Trump, where they wanted to be tough on China.
00:11:19
And they wanted to make it known that, we're not going to take
00:11:21
anything laying down. And we want to push back on
00:11:23
China, because for years and years and years.
00:11:27
You know, we've kind of let you know, the status quo in the
00:11:30
establishment of kind of let China, get away with a lot of
00:11:32
things and that's what it comes down to.
00:11:35
Is they will let trying to get away and grow and their
00:11:39
influence and power all over the world.
00:11:41
And here we are today, China gets to basically threatened,
00:11:46
our speaker of the house. Now, you know, someone said I
00:11:50
saw the other day, if you're rooting, if you're trying to
00:11:52
pick one side of the other, I guess you kind of have to
00:11:56
support the person. In who pretends like, they're
00:11:58
under the American flag as much as I don't think Nancy Pelosi
00:12:00
really gives a crap about the American flag.
00:12:02
Or I think her loyalty this country, I think she's basically
00:12:07
using the country and sucking off it like a leech as much as
00:12:11
possible, but it is interesting to see the geopolitics of a
00:12:15
change. And they tried to say, well,
00:12:17
Newt Gingrich, when 25 years ago.
00:12:19
Yeah, 25 years ago. China was a much different
00:12:21
country. Wasn't as powerful didn't have
00:12:23
the influence it does. Now, China has a lot more power
00:12:26
as a lot more influence. Clearly whenever China's says,
00:12:30
jump the rest of the world says how high especially things like
00:12:32
the World Health Organization. So it's a little bit more of a
00:12:39
tightrope walk when you have the speaker of the house going over
00:12:42
to Taiwan and there's threats from president G and he said,
00:12:47
quote those who play with fire will perish by it and that was
00:12:50
something that he told the White House, he added that a visit
00:12:55
would lead to a very serious. Elements and consequences that
00:12:59
was one of his Chinese foreign Ministry, the Chinese military,
00:13:02
no military later and they posted a propaganda video of
00:13:05
fighter. Jets.
00:13:06
Scrambling soldiers, firing missiles, all because of Nancy
00:13:09
Pelosi, right? Nancy Pelosi is just Landing in
00:13:11
Taiwan and they think that's a reason to start a full-scale
00:13:16
war. Now is this one incidents going
00:13:18
to cause a full-scale World War? No, not likely, but it does kind
00:13:23
of raised the issue of what does, what is the u.s. stand
00:13:26
for? When it comes to Taiwan, are
00:13:28
they going to recognize Taiwan has a separate country?
00:13:31
Taiwan loves the u.s. because they stand for freedom and they
00:13:35
don't stand for communism. China wants Taiwan to be a part
00:13:39
of them as part of their one, China policy and we're kind of
00:13:43
stuck at a Crossroads of do we side with China, or do we side
00:13:47
with Taiwan? Now, if we're all about
00:13:51
spreading, freedom and democracy and all that, we should be about
00:13:55
Taiwan and not China. But because a lot of policy
00:13:59
makers and people in power in the establishment and in the
00:14:02
regime are very connected to China.
00:14:04
There's a lot of reason to believe that they won't really
00:14:07
take a strong stance on what's going on with Taiwan.
00:14:11
But it is an issue. It's definitely an issue that
00:14:13
has to be addressed. It's an issue that has to be
00:14:15
addressed one way or the other. And it can't keep going on where
00:14:21
we're just going to ignore what's happening with Taiwan.
00:14:23
What happens in a hypothetical sense where China rolls up its
00:14:30
to only two aircraft carriers up to Taiwan Shore.
00:14:33
Now Taiwan says that they're prepared, that's they said that
00:14:36
they're basically ready for anything that China throws at
00:14:38
them. Now keep in mind, you're
00:14:40
fighting China as and it's taiwan's a small much smaller
00:14:43
Island. But is it really?
00:14:47
Are they really ready without the u.s. coming to their aid?
00:14:50
Without us sending a couple of our 11 aircraft carriers which
00:14:55
is the most in the world. Something's going to have to
00:14:57
happen. This is one of those staring
00:14:59
matches where something's going to happen.
00:15:01
It's kind of like, what's going on with Ukraine.
00:15:03
And the done boss region is the donbas region voted voted to.
00:15:10
I'm just looking at the news right now.
00:15:11
This is Alex Jones concedes in court.
00:15:13
That Sandy Hook massacre may have been real.
00:15:15
Oh, look at that they got him on the stand.
00:15:17
That's pretty impressed. I'd love to see that testimony.
00:15:19
That might be interesting to actually break down that
00:15:21
testimony. What happened there?
00:15:25
But as I was saying these things do Don't happen in a vacuum.
00:15:27
They take a long time for them to kind of Bubble Up and
00:15:32
something that happened. So this may be the first step
00:15:35
toward something where if a congresswoman or the house, the
00:15:38
speaker of the house is going to Taiwan And she is landing in
00:15:43
Taiwan and recognizing their government.
00:15:46
Then that is a direct shot across China's bow that we
00:15:49
recognize Taiwan as an independent nation and could it
00:15:53
raised to flare tensions. Absolutely.
00:15:55
Could it raised an issue of China planning to invade Taiwan?
00:15:59
Absolutely. And what happens when China does
00:16:01
invade Taiwan? Are we going to be prepared to
00:16:04
defend Taiwan and under this Administration?
00:16:06
I'm not. So sure if this was Donald Trump
00:16:08
in the White House. I wouldn't I wouldn't really I'd
00:16:13
say I would be much more confident that Trump would
00:16:16
defend Taiwan as opposed to bowing to China.
00:16:21
We all know that and that's probably one reason why China
00:16:23
dance crew with Taiwan is because again, the crazy factor
00:16:26
of Donald Trump, a lot of these countries don't know what's
00:16:29
going to happen with Donald Trump at the wheel.
00:16:31
So someone asked, so, is there a connection here with her?
00:16:36
Husband investing all that money and Vidya and their
00:16:38
manufacturing? I did see that, you know, I did
00:16:40
see that. I thought that was really
00:16:42
interesting that this would be the semiconductor chips would be
00:16:48
a huge Boon for the Taiwanese economy and the fact that he
00:16:53
invested in there. Someone now someone's
00:16:58
fact-checking at the chip manufacturer in China as a
00:17:00
different company but I did I read that somewhere else that
00:17:04
there was it's Taiwan does have a large semiconductor industry
00:17:10
over there and if any money was voted on by the speaker of the
00:17:14
house and then obviously, your husband made a bunch of money on
00:17:17
it that there is, you know, we could probably do a whole show,
00:17:23
just on Nancy Pelosi, and her stock.
00:17:25
And how dirty that is and the entire trailer that's going on
00:17:29
there. So that is something that we
00:17:32
keep going down, the rabbit hole of Nancy Pelosi.
00:17:35
We could probably have a whole series just on Nancy Pelosi
00:17:37
could just be called the Nancy Pelosi Diaries where we just
00:17:40
talked about, Nancy Pelosi all the time.
00:17:42
But I do think it's interesting that all of this is for happened
00:17:45
around the same time where they have a bill coming through that.
00:17:51
Regarding semiconductors. Her husband makes a bet on the
00:17:54
semiconductors, or not, a bet, but I should say he makes a
00:17:59
order. He goes long on these stocks,
00:18:02
and then Taiwan is a huge semiconductor nation, that makes
00:18:07
a lot of semiconductors, and then she goes over to Taiwan and
00:18:09
visits with elected leaders. There, it does seem a little
00:18:13
fishy, so it is a little fishy to the naked eye, when you start
00:18:19
to look at that way. All right, that's enough of
00:18:23
Taiwan. I don't really want to keep
00:18:25
talking about Taiwan mostly because it's not really, I mean,
00:18:29
yeah, an anthropologist from California that was the only
00:18:31
reason I really want to talk about this other, this next
00:18:33
issue. And then I was the third issue
00:18:35
that kind of slid in last night that I want to talk about
00:18:38
regarding the handgun roster, which is, I think big news
00:18:41
talking about the Brewing case, talking about the Second
00:18:43
Amendment here in the state of California.
00:18:45
But let's talk about this next article.
00:18:47
What's going on? And I've talked about this a
00:18:49
lot, okay, I've talked about this.
00:18:50
A lot I think that this is one of the craziest policies going
00:18:55
on in the state of California that I don't understand why
00:18:57
Democrats believe this is anyway, compassionate, I don't
00:19:01
understand this, I don't understand the logic behind it,
00:19:05
but the Articles from the Sacramento Bee, it's California
00:19:08
cities could create safe drug injection site programs.
00:19:11
If Newsom, signs new bill. I think there's a whole bunch of
00:19:15
things going on here. In terms of what's at play.
00:19:20
This bill has been trying to get through all places of all
00:19:23
places, California. It took a couple times.
00:19:28
This is not the first time they've tried this and it's
00:19:31
gotten through. So contrary to popular belief,
00:19:34
this even this bill did not get through California legislature,
00:19:37
as fast as people thought it did take a couple times, Governor
00:19:40
Jerry, Brown. Governor Moonbeam did veto the
00:19:43
bill, so same bill. They kind of been changing
00:19:46
around, trying to get it passed. But the article goes on to say,
00:19:49
Senate Bill 57. Let's local jurisdictions vote
00:19:51
to create injection sites as pilot programs proponents, say
00:19:56
the It's provide a realistic way of reducing overdoses and
00:19:59
lowering crime. While opponents hold that the
00:20:01
legislation would cause a drug activity to spike.
00:20:05
Yeah, I mean there's there's obviously the concern that if
00:20:09
you were going to allow for safe, usage of drugs, people who
00:20:13
like to use those drugs are going to find search out these
00:20:16
sites and then continue to use them especially if it's being
00:20:20
promoted and kind of funded by the government quote.
00:20:23
These programs have been in operation for about 30 Years
00:20:26
Around the World. In Europe, Canada and Australia.
00:20:28
Scott wiener told centers, Monday afternoon.
00:20:30
And although, there is no Silver Bullet to the overdose epidemic.
00:20:33
They are proven strategy to reduce overdose deaths, right?
00:20:39
Maybe like and I guess if you're saying they're safe sites,
00:20:45
because people are being monitored, there's a stronger
00:20:48
possibility that people won't die after out on the streets as
00:20:53
opposed to these sites. But that doesn't change the
00:20:56
fact. Like that we have a problem that
00:20:58
that's really we're kind of focused on One symptom of the
00:21:03
larger problem, which is that we're allowing a lot of this
00:21:07
drug use opioid, use all of this to continue within our streets
00:21:11
and continue within our cities. And we haven't really fixed the
00:21:14
root problem. And it's where instead of saying
00:21:17
the root problem is that we should stop people using these
00:21:20
drugs, right people should stop using these drugs and we got to
00:21:23
do everything we can to get people off of these drugs.
00:21:26
And this is where the part. I'm not really sure about how
00:21:28
this is really compassionate comes in is when people are
00:21:31
addicted to drugs, especially recreational drugs like this.
00:21:36
I mean even prescription drugs, people get addicted to
00:21:39
prescription drugs as well. When people are addicted to
00:21:43
drugs, they're dealing with a crippling addiction, which harms
00:21:46
themselves which harms people around them, which harms their
00:21:49
psyche, which harms their prospects in life and California
00:21:54
said, instead of trying to figure out how do we You stop
00:21:57
them from doing this destructive behavior that harms them.
00:22:01
Let's figure out a way to continue allowing them to use
00:22:05
and I've used this analogy before but I think it's
00:22:07
absolutely pertinent and it's absolutely if I do say so
00:22:11
Perfect Analogy, if someone was an alcoholic, you would not hand
00:22:18
that person, a bottle of Jack Daniels.
00:22:20
If you knew someone struggled with drinking, you wouldn't say,
00:22:23
look. I understand you struggle with
00:22:25
drinking. Ergo to help you with your
00:22:28
drinking. I'm going to put you in this
00:22:30
room and here's a bottle of Jack Daniels, but at least it's safe
00:22:35
because we know where you are and we can monitor.
00:22:39
You does. That seem very compassionate I
00:22:43
don't see how the compassion. I think it's not compassionate
00:22:50
to continue to allow people to harm themselves when the real
00:22:54
reality is that this is something that people struggle
00:22:57
with and it does harm them, it does harm themselves, it does
00:22:59
harm their family, it's not getting them any better.
00:23:03
So, how does that help? How does this help people get
00:23:08
past their addiction? Are there people on hand, who
00:23:11
say, look, we know you're using, we know that you're going to
00:23:18
use, but at least, if you're using under our, our watchful
00:23:22
eye, maybe we can get you some help.
00:23:25
Maybe we can get some people to address what's going on in your
00:23:30
life, and maybe we can help you get off of this.
00:23:34
Maybe that would make more sense to be like, well, we're trying
00:23:38
to get them off the streets and into a safe place and then try
00:23:41
to get them off the drugs. But if you're going to just say,
00:23:45
here's a safe injection, site paid for by the government.
00:23:50
I don't really see the carrot and the stick here and again I
00:23:55
really do believe the state is becoming an enabler of these
00:23:59
people who are suffering. And I don't understand how
00:24:02
that's compassionate. I got in a Twitter battle.
00:24:06
I think I mentioned this on one of the past podcasts.
00:24:09
I mentioned what Josh Hoover was on who's running for the State
00:24:12
Assembly? I got in a Twitter spat with
00:24:16
somebody who obviously had a bajillion pronouns in their name
00:24:19
and a Ukraine flagon, all that stuff and they were Laden Scott
00:24:22
wiener and saying, oh, this is a great policy.
00:24:24
Thank you Senator weiner for doing this.
00:24:29
And I told him Point Blank. I said look, I don't understand
00:24:33
how this is compassionate and you explain to me how this is
00:24:36
compassionate person said, well at least they're not dying in
00:24:39
the street. I said great.
00:24:43
That's one aspect of it but these people are still
00:24:47
struggling and they're hurting. So what's your solution to get
00:24:51
them to stop hurting and struggling with this addiction?
00:24:56
no response, maybe she didn't want to respond because she
00:24:58
didn't want to engage but there was no response, either way and
00:25:03
I have yet to find I have yet to find any sort of answer as to
00:25:11
why this is really compassionate.
00:25:12
So in 2018, when noodles ran for governor, he said he's very open
00:25:19
to the law. When he ran for governor in 2018
00:25:22
the San Francisco Chronicle reported quote, I'm very open to
00:25:25
that he said as San Francisco campaign stop.
00:25:28
I'd like to learn more about why the governor vetoed it in terms
00:25:31
of making what I believe is a legal argument.
00:25:33
So I'd like to research that I'm not wedded to the language of
00:25:36
the existing bill but I'm certainly very, very open to the
00:25:39
pile. This is where it gets
00:25:41
interesting. She yeah, I don't know.
00:25:45
I probably missed gendered her a thousand times that Twitter user
00:25:48
because I didn't pay attention to her pronouns.
00:25:50
Once I see the pronouns I'm just like, okay I'm not paying
00:25:52
attention to your pronouns This is where it's interesting. 2018
00:25:58
is a lot different than 20 22. And 2022 is going to be a lot
00:26:03
different than 2020 for two years away.
00:26:06
So the span of 2018 to 2024 now, what's the one thing we've been
00:26:10
saying on this program for months now about noodles and
00:26:15
what his plans are his plans are he's going to run for governor
00:26:19
for president. Well, yeah, we already know he's
00:26:20
running for governor. He's running for governor this
00:26:22
year, he's going to run for president, right?
00:26:25
We all know I know it. We know that he's going to throw
00:26:28
his hat in the ring one way or another.
00:26:30
Whether it's 2024 or whether it's 20 28, he wants to become
00:26:35
president of the United States of America.
00:26:39
So it's kind of interesting to see how this politics Will play
00:26:44
out. Because now this bill is headed
00:26:48
to his desk. Does Governor noodles sign this?
00:26:57
Bill because it's a Bay Area Progressive Senator wiener
00:27:02
sponsored bill. Again that just absolutely
00:27:05
caters to whatever the Bay Area wants.
00:27:07
Forget that there's 58 other counties in the entire giant
00:27:10
state that is California. Does he actually sign this?
00:27:15
Or does he veto it? Because does it just become
00:27:20
another thing that opponents can use against him?
00:27:24
Now if he had, good political Consultants, right?
00:27:28
And for a guy who has 24 million dollars in the bank, you should
00:27:32
absolutely have good political Consultants, not to mention,
00:27:35
he's well, connected with everybody in the establishment,
00:27:39
he should have good political Consultants who are telling him.
00:27:42
Look, You know, Governor noodles, if you want to run for
00:27:48
president, right? If you want to run for
00:27:51
president, maybe he's up on the radical bills, right?
00:27:56
And maybe he's trying to distance himself and say, look,
00:27:59
this is what a Democrat. A true Progressive is who fights
00:28:06
But is this something that he might step back and go.
00:28:09
Hmm it's been fraught with language.
00:28:12
Before you know, Governor Moonbeam vetoed, it may be.
00:28:16
I veto it because I'm not absolutely 100% sure of it.
00:28:20
Now the legislature could always bypass them, they've a
00:28:22
supermajority, they don't really need Gavin.
00:28:24
Newsom, they can go back and do the supermajority.
00:28:26
If they really, really want this.
00:28:29
Most of the time, they just let it die because they don't want
00:28:32
that fight. And especially when you go back
00:28:36
and you ask for a supermajority, it's a lot harder to get people
00:28:39
to sign up to it, especially like more moderate Democrats,
00:28:44
but I think it will be interesting to see.
00:28:46
Now, I'm not saying that there's a high probability, vetoes it, I
00:28:49
think there is a good probability or there's a good
00:28:52
possibility that he does veto this.
00:28:54
Because I think this is one of his things that if he's running
00:28:58
against a governor to Santa's, how easy is it for a governor
00:29:03
DeSantis. Campaign to run across the
00:29:07
country and every swing state and show open.
00:29:10
Use drug sites of people injecting themselves with drugs
00:29:13
and say, this is what Gavin Newsom stands for in California.
00:29:17
This is what Gavin Newsom supports in California.
00:29:20
This is what he signed into law in California.
00:29:23
Do you want this in your cities in your States?
00:29:27
Because that will become a thing?
00:29:28
He could say that will become federal policy or every city
00:29:33
across Cross. The country is going to have
00:29:35
safe safe, use injection drug sites, right?
00:29:39
That's what is going to come down to.
00:29:43
I'll be interested to see how this politically plays out.
00:29:49
Is there a much more of a chance?
00:29:51
He does sign it? Sure, Gavin Newsom believes,
00:29:54
he's Invincible, he could do whatever he wants.
00:29:56
I mean, he's running ads in Florida, because he thinks that
00:29:59
if he just tells people that California stands for more
00:30:01
freedom, somehow, people are going to believe that. stands
00:30:04
for more freedom, but I think this is one of those things
00:30:08
where, if he had smart political Consultants, they would tell
00:30:12
him, maybe don't sign this bill, right?
00:30:15
You can sign a lot of other Progressive things.
00:30:18
This may be a progressive, cause that's a little too far.
00:30:21
Abortion is obviously something that he can run on.
00:30:26
He can obviously run with that, he can do that.
00:30:29
That's something that the left, a deer adores and loves about of
00:30:34
California, but some of these things might be a little too
00:30:37
Progressive for swing States like Arizona.
00:30:41
But again my belief is that even if you did run with or without
00:30:45
this veto, I don't think Newsome.
00:30:47
Really has a chance at winning the presidency.
00:30:49
I don't think he's going to win swing States, like Arizona or
00:30:52
Florida for that matter. I don't think floor is going to
00:30:53
look at California, be like? Yeah, we want to be exactly like
00:30:56
California after what we saw in 2020.
00:30:59
So, but it'll be interesting. It will be interesting to see
00:31:02
how this politically plays out. Finally, this is the quote from
00:31:08
the Senate Republican leader Scott Wilk.
00:31:11
Quote instead of focusing on strategy to help people get
00:31:13
their lives back, get off drugs into treatment, California
00:31:16
Democrats focus on giving people free needles and a safe place to
00:31:19
shoot up said Senator Republican leader, Scott Wilk of Santa
00:31:22
Clarita. This is one of the most
00:31:24
dangerous pieces of legislation that I've seen sent to the
00:31:27
governor leaving people on the streets and squalor, rather than
00:31:30
getting them help shows zero compassion.
00:31:33
Yeah, that's exactly. My final point is, I see fail to
00:31:37
see The Compassion. I think that's an angle that if
00:31:40
you're a California. And go with compassion.
00:31:43
Because remember, I saw propaganda fluent on here.
00:31:47
I don't know if you still on here, people vote with emotions
00:31:51
and if you can tap into that emotion and show that
00:31:54
California, Democrats are not being compassionate on this
00:31:56
issue, you could get you could swing votes because people vote
00:32:02
with emotions and if they see that and you can tap into that
00:32:05
and say well are you on the side of compassion, where we get
00:32:08
people help, they need to get them off this horrible
00:32:10
addiction. Or on you are you on the side of
00:32:12
the people who want to keep them?
00:32:13
Basically down in the gutter injecting themselves and doing
00:32:17
these unsafe drugs, is that what you want?
00:32:20
And a lot of people, I think would go with the former rather
00:32:23
than the latter. So, final story that I want to
00:32:29
touch upon because I saw this last night and this is really
00:32:31
exciting news because all I want is my Walther PPQ, which I
00:32:36
cannot get in the state of California because it's a
00:32:40
beautiful. Her hand gun and I would like
00:32:43
one but I can't get one in the state of California.
00:32:45
The only Walther you can get is a PT 22 which I love my little
00:32:49
22. It's a fun plinker.
00:32:52
It's a fun little gun that we like to take to the range.
00:32:54
It's fun for just for screwing around, so I like Walter.
00:33:00
It's smooth, good grip like that.
00:33:03
But I'd like to get the PPQ. Why am I bringing this up?
00:33:06
Why am I talking about this all stuff?
00:33:11
Is because a lawsuit in this is going to the reload, who has
00:33:14
become a fantastic, go to site. When it comes to anything,
00:33:18
Second Amendment related, the California Rifle and Pistol
00:33:21
Association has filed a lawsuit in federal court, against
00:33:23
Attorney General Route bonta on Monday, the suit takes aim at
00:33:27
the state's, unsafe handgun, act the handgun roster.
00:33:31
So any of you who are familiar, if you're not familiar, you can
00:33:33
raise your hands. I have no idea what the heck
00:33:35
you're talking about. I'll give you a little bit of
00:33:37
background if you know. I'm talking about, California
00:33:40
has a roster of handguns that you can purchase that are
00:33:43
allowed to be sold in the state of California.
00:33:47
Why? Because they believe that there
00:33:48
are certain handguns out there that are not safe.
00:33:53
So they put all these stipulations on.
00:33:55
What a safe handgun is. And if you are a gun
00:33:59
manufacturer, you have to actually make your gun to
00:34:04
California specifics or their specific requirements.
00:34:07
Like, I was saying specifically about My Walther.
00:34:10
That is a model that is specifically P22, California.
00:34:13
They actually have to put the designation that it's for
00:34:15
California because it has to meet the specific requirements
00:34:20
that they keep putting into law. They keep putting into, you
00:34:23
know, it's whether the Mac capacity, whether it's, they
00:34:27
want the loaded indicator on all the guns.
00:34:31
Now, the big thing is the micro stamping which is probably what
00:34:34
this is going to be about. Is the micro stamping.
00:34:38
Also this? Rule that if they put a new
00:34:40
handgun on three have to come off.
00:34:43
So if a new one wants to come on, to the roster three have to
00:34:46
come off, it's effectively a way of every time, a new gun wants
00:34:50
to come on, three, have to come off and that means that they
00:34:54
could just Whittle away at the handgun roster over time.
00:34:57
So they weren't where there's not really any choice for
00:34:59
handguns at all Ozzy. And I have talked about this
00:35:02
when he came on the show. The funny thing is is that they
00:35:07
say it's unsafe. What do they got?
00:35:09
The and unsafe handgun act. I just called the roster is
00:35:12
there keeping guns that are actually safer and newer off of
00:35:16
the roster because they don't meet California requirements.
00:35:19
So there are guns. And someone can correct me on
00:35:23
what generation the Glocks are on.
00:35:25
But we're a couple Generations behind and every generation is
00:35:29
made to be safer. It's made to be more efficient.
00:35:31
It's made to be better handling, but because we can't get our
00:35:35
hands on them in California. They're deemed unsafe for some
00:35:38
This is a quote from CRP a California's have long been held
00:35:44
hostage under the state's. Arbitrary determination, what is
00:35:47
and what is not a safe handgun. While the rest of America enjoys
00:35:51
the freedom to Common own. Commonly used Firearms, today's
00:35:54
trpa moves to end those restrictions and restore freedom
00:35:57
to California the uh a prohibited California.
00:36:02
General public from acquiring a significant number of popular
00:36:05
and common miles of handguns, that Americans own Nationwide
00:36:08
for the purpose of of lawful self-defense.
00:36:10
There is no legitimate and genuine historical analog for
00:36:12
the uh, a and uh, a therefore unconstitutional and fringes
00:36:15
plaintiff Second Amendment right to bear arms.
00:36:18
And then the final quote is Far from ensuring that handgun, sold
00:36:23
in California, are quotes safe. All the, uh, a accomplishes is
00:36:27
ensuring that older increasingly less desirable, hang on, Mi
00:36:30
peripherally ad infinitum. While newer more reliable, more
00:36:34
ergonomic, more affordable and more desirable choices, remain
00:36:37
Out Of Reach the complaint States.
00:36:40
So, yeah, if you're a fan of the popular YouTuber Reno May, he's
00:36:45
actually one of the named plaintiffs in the case.
00:36:47
So if you don't follow Reno, May, he's a great Follow as
00:36:51
well. When it comes to anything, he's
00:36:52
a California. Second Amendment Advocate and
00:36:55
he's a great follow. So I've talked about this
00:36:59
before. I did the video last week,
00:37:02
Brewing, if you haven't checked out the video, go check it out
00:37:04
on Instagram. So on YouTube talking about the
00:37:06
Sacramento rolling in that criminal case, but Bruin is
00:37:11
making its way down through the lower courts in a very good way
00:37:15
already and it's only been a couple months and we're already
00:37:18
starting to see sort of the repercussions or the Dividends
00:37:23
are being paid from Bruin. One of those, is that the
00:37:26
Judgment in the I believe is the Max Capacity.
00:37:29
The mag Bank case has been vacated, it's been reissued down
00:37:35
to the lower court which is St, judge Benitez.
00:37:38
So that will be held Ella, I believe that same drug bananas
00:37:42
will probably find that the magazine capacity will be deemed
00:37:46
unconstitutional but with Brewing, it's going to be much
00:37:50
harder to argue and overturn that but we're seeing the
00:37:54
repercussions of Bruin and this is one of those issues where the
00:37:57
handgun roster. I don't think there's an
00:38:01
analogous historical tradition of a handgun.
00:38:04
Roster in American society or in American history.
00:38:09
I'd love to read the complaint and see everything.
00:38:11
I think they espouse or what they talked about but this is
00:38:15
one of those cases where Brewing is making its way through the
00:38:19
lower courts. And we're going to see that and
00:38:21
I would be all for it to see that this handgun.
00:38:23
Roster is deemed unconstitutional that they can
00:38:28
now all of a sudden cell. Basically any handgun that they
00:38:30
want in the state of California and California is going to be
00:38:34
the testing grounds for Bruen and really we're going to see
00:38:38
how strong this Bruin case is here in California.
00:38:42
This is the testing raised. This is where we're going to see
00:38:45
the most cases where we're gonna see the most decisions whether
00:38:51
or not Brewing holds up, whether or not it has the power to
00:38:54
overrule, these California restrictions and For Nia Second
00:39:00
Amendment. Wise could be a completely
00:39:02
different state in a number of years.
00:39:05
We could be talking about high-capacity magazines.
00:39:08
Again, we could be talking about much more choices for handguns
00:39:13
and guns that are newer generation that you could
00:39:15
actually get outside of the state.
00:39:18
There could be a lot of issues. A lot of things are going to be
00:39:20
overturning California and if they're overturning California
00:39:23
then you know, damn well that they're going to be overturned
00:39:26
in the rest of the country and these things won't hold up or
00:39:29
they won't. Not stand mustard in court.
00:39:31
So then another issue we saw the ruling in the case last week in
00:39:37
terms of what's going to happen with the carrying concealed.
00:39:40
Now they're trying to pass SB 9 18, which is going to try to
00:39:46
basically their goal is to effectively eliminate all of
00:39:49
your ability to carry and conceal anywhere in the state of
00:39:53
California. I think that will probably fall
00:39:56
under Bruin. It won't stand mustard under
00:39:59
Brewing. Because that's not the history
00:40:02
and tradition is that you can't carry anywhere so that will
00:40:04
likely fail and Rowan is going to kind of put the flag down and
00:40:09
say, look this is the second amendment.
00:40:11
I saw someone say Heller was the ruling Heller was the standard
00:40:16
and Bruin was the exclamation point on that rolling.
00:40:20
Basically saying, we're going to go by history and tradition,
00:40:24
we're going to examine the plain text, whatever they meant and
00:40:27
that is it. And that's really where.
00:40:29
We're coming from in terms of all Second Amendment
00:40:32
jurisprudence from here on out. So another case the follow, it
00:40:37
will be interesting. Let's hope that they get rid of
00:40:40
the handgun roster here in the state of California.
00:40:43
It may take years to get through but you can let's see something
00:40:48
the roster has eliminated tomorrow.
00:40:49
Will a be 1594 still stopped manufacturing bringing new guns
00:40:52
to California Market. Remind me what a be 1594 is a
00:40:57
everyone throws these numbers at me.
00:40:58
I I try to keep Pop as much as possible.
00:41:00
I don't really. I don't keep them memorized this
00:41:05
much I do have a day job that I have to keep my mind on as well.
00:41:08
So I don't keep track of every single bill that's coming
00:41:12
through as much as I try to keep track of every single bill or as
00:41:15
many bills as possible. Gun manufacturers can be sued in
00:41:20
California. That's an interesting question
00:41:22
that they've been throwing around that legal theory for a
00:41:26
while. That's a torch products,
00:41:29
liability question. And I don't think it'll be
00:41:33
interesting to see how they rule on that, in terms of products
00:41:37
liability, because the idea products liability is that you
00:41:41
are not supposed to use a product that is not intended for
00:41:45
I can see. The, if you're playing Devil's
00:41:47
Advocate, they could say The point of a gun is to shoot
00:41:50
things and people and to protect yourself.
00:41:54
So but it's not intended that they could also write, you know,
00:41:57
they could say yes it is used to protect yourself under the
00:42:01
Second Amendment but it's not used to go and actively murder
00:42:05
people. That's not the point of it.
00:42:07
It's like you could say, well, you know, the point of a ladder
00:42:11
is you want to get up on the ladder and reach high places.
00:42:13
The point of ladder is not to use it to beat the crap out of
00:42:15
someone. You can't sue someone for
00:42:18
beating the crap out of you with a ladder because that's not the
00:42:20
point of what the latter is created for.
00:42:23
So that will be an interesting products liability towards
00:42:25
question again. They're trying to throw as much
00:42:29
against the wall as possible when it comes to the second
00:42:31
moment here in California and the fact that they are trying so
00:42:35
hard to get you or to strip you of your Second Amendment, right?
00:42:40
And it's, I don't know why it's not more shocking to people.
00:42:44
Why politicians are trying so hard to Strip.
00:42:48
You of every single right? You have under the second moment
00:42:50
when it comes to protecting yourself and your property and
00:42:52
your family. It is interesting that people
00:42:55
aren't more upset about this. And, you know, I understand
00:43:00
people think that they have this warped idea of.
00:43:03
Well, what do we need guns for? That's what the police is for.
00:43:07
If you talked to a policeman or a sheriff's, deputy or something
00:43:10
like that, even they will admit like, look best case scenario.
00:43:13
Someone breaks into your house. We're not showing up for a high.
00:43:17
Don't know, 8 to 11 minutes, best case scenario.
00:43:20
Sometimes they don't even show up until like 20 minutes later.
00:43:22
So no one is going there. The police are not your personal
00:43:26
bodyguard, they're not your private security.
00:43:28
They're not going to we're not watching your house all the time
00:43:31
to make sure no one breaks in and politicians, just seem to be
00:43:36
absolutely obsessed with taking that away from you.
00:43:39
And I don't know why people aren't more shocked about this
00:43:42
or more apprehensive as to. Why are we so obsessed with
00:43:45
taking this right away from us. Maybe it needs to be more
00:43:52
emphasized to a different angle. In terms of the argument being
00:43:55
made, one of my favorites is that gun rights is women's
00:43:59
rights. It is a great equalizer for
00:44:01
women who need to protect themselves.
00:44:04
So maybe that's an angle but we'll see.
00:44:08
And California is going to be the testing ground.
00:44:10
However, he's definitely gonna be the testing ground for all
00:44:13
this second Amendment stuff. So, alright, let's hear some
00:44:18
questions and comments. I'll go over a little bit
00:44:23
because I started late for everyone and it's hot.
00:44:29
It's hot here in San Diego right now.
00:44:34
But I have, I've had to call police.
00:44:40
Good luck getting through, if you don't get a busy signal,
00:44:42
they won't show up for 40 minutes when you call about
00:44:44
people breaking into your neighbor's home, I've done.
00:44:47
But if you call the non-emergency line, it takes a
00:44:50
while to get through to the other side.
00:44:53
I've called the non-emergency line because I've, you know,
00:44:57
there's noise or people were throwing parties at 3:00 a.m.
00:45:00
Yeah. I was, I'm not old fart who's
00:45:01
like look. Trying to get some sleep.
00:45:03
It's a Wednesday night in your lap.
00:45:05
You're wide awake at 3, a.m. blasting music, so you call the
00:45:11
police and hopefully, the police show up, you never know.
00:45:13
If the police actually do show up, they might just be, they
00:45:15
might just file and say, like, look, we don't really care, but
00:45:19
it does take a while for all that to happen.
00:45:22
I'm encouraging all my single female friends to train and get
00:45:24
armed. The world is too crazy.
00:45:27
Yeah, absolutely. And while you're training and
00:45:31
getting it, figuring that out Carrie non-lethal defense with
00:45:36
you pepper, spray stuff like that.
00:45:37
Carry that with you at all times.
00:45:40
You know you don't want a lot of people are like oh I don't want
00:45:43
to think about the world that where I have to carry pepper
00:45:45
spray or a gun. Well you never know you just
00:45:49
never know the world is getting crazier and crazier, especially
00:45:53
here in California. San Bernardino County Board
00:45:57
supervisors, working to consider working on becoming a separate
00:45:59
State. Your thoughts, go for it.
00:46:02
Why not? I mean, it'd be interesting to
00:46:04
see San Bernardino become their own separate State and it'd be
00:46:08
interesting. This is a bigger issue than a
00:46:10
lot the libertarian party's really bringing this up a lot,
00:46:13
this National divorce idea of like localities breaking away
00:46:17
from the federal government. And this would be even more of a
00:46:21
localized decision where the San Bernardino County Board of
00:46:24
Supervisors. We're breaking away from the
00:46:26
state and we're going to recognize ourselves estate in
00:46:30
San Bernardino is a pretty substantial County to break
00:46:33
away, and there's a lot going on San Bernardino.
00:46:37
It's not obviously, Orange County, or Los Angeles County,
00:46:40
but, or even San Diego County, but I, I fully support it.
00:46:45
Why not? You know, I think you shouldn't
00:46:48
be what what did the Declaration of Independence?
00:46:52
A You know, when a government becomes destructive, the the
00:46:56
people shall abolish, it like that's destructive to its end
00:46:59
and the people shall bow. Shit.
00:47:02
The right of the people shall be to abolish it.
00:47:04
If a government, I believe if it's become so destructive, and
00:47:07
there's no way to fix it. Why not?
00:47:09
Just start over or start new start fresh.
00:47:13
So, why not San Bernardino County become their own State?
00:47:16
I don't think they will, but it's an interesting question as
00:47:19
to National divorce. Police are not preventive unless
00:47:25
you're a celebrity. Yeah, unless you're a celebrity,
00:47:28
there is not really much even married.
00:47:33
Women should get trainee. I've had some sketchy, Uber
00:47:35
rides. Also, if a woman is at home
00:47:37
alone with her kid, what if someone tries to break in
00:47:39
carjacking? Etc?
00:47:41
Yeah. Absolutely.
00:47:44
You know, you have to be prepared to defend yourself,
00:47:46
Defend Your Home, California still a castle doctrine state,
00:47:48
which means that you can defend yourself in your home.
00:47:52
Home. Actually Cowboy is not a duty to
00:47:55
retreat state, which is pretty pretty interesting for
00:47:59
California that they actually have some pretty favorable
00:48:04
self-defense laws when it comes to firearms in the state of
00:48:07
California. Some other states are not really
00:48:08
that great, like New York, I'm sure a lot of you saw that video
00:48:12
yesterday, where the person I thought it was an old lady, but
00:48:17
I guess it was a guy who defended himself against those
00:48:20
robbers who were coming into his convenience.
00:48:22
Or so, and that was up in Norco, which is a small rural town.
00:48:26
And they decided we're going to just pick on this one.
00:48:29
I've had a customer call El Cajon PD to report an emergency
00:48:32
situation. They told him they would not go
00:48:34
unless it's an emergency. That's comforting to know.
00:48:40
I mean, they can't be everywhere all at once.
00:48:43
You know, people want police to believe that they're everywhere.
00:48:46
All at once. This is in the movies where
00:48:49
something happens and they yell, you know, officer go.
00:48:52
Get that man. Like, they're not, they're not
00:48:53
there to just be your personal bodyguard.
00:48:57
I'm married and have kids. I'm arm but many single women.
00:48:59
Tend to fear firearms in trying to change that Isn't San
00:49:05
Bernardino largest county by area in the country?
00:49:07
Maybe, maybe it is, I don't know.
00:49:09
So, once the fact check that So, yeah, I think it's always, you
00:49:17
know, more women. The bodega worker from New York
00:49:20
last to hurt my entree. Oh no, that's that's a different
00:49:23
story. The bodega worker from New York.
00:49:26
Yeah. That was somebody who that was
00:49:30
in New York, where they had a bodega owner and they defend
00:49:34
themselves. A guy jumped over the counter
00:49:37
and they had a knife and the guy was it?
00:49:40
The guy had a night. Well, I'm trying to remember the
00:49:42
guy, the Owner, had a knife guy, jumped over the counter started,
00:49:45
beating the crap out of him and he defended himself with a knife
00:49:50
and they were going to try and bring him up on murder charges.
00:49:52
But that was all dropped. I think after I got enough
00:49:55
National play now, there's a, there's a video just came out in
00:49:58
Norco, California. And people have been sending it
00:50:00
to me. Where Robert shows up ski mask,
00:50:04
has a rifle. I didn't actually get a close.
00:50:07
Look at whether the rifle was California, Bogota.
00:50:11
Yeah, it's iboga. According to Jill Biden.
00:50:15
So Bogota I didn't even actually get to see if the rifle itself
00:50:19
was California. Compliant would be interesting
00:50:21
to see if someone wants to go back and look and be like
00:50:23
actually that rifle is not California compliant.
00:50:26
He runs in a store right off the bat guy go, you know, put your
00:50:30
hands in the air for the money and then all I'm saying, you
00:50:33
just hear bang in. The guy goes, I got my Army.
00:50:36
Got my The guy goes running out and the video on the front.
00:50:40
I think the video out in the parking lot, even funnier
00:50:44
because you see his other buddy get out with another gun and
00:50:48
he's just kind of looking in and he hears the bang.
00:50:52
And he immediately gets back in the car and he's like, screw
00:50:55
this. I'm not going to be a part of
00:50:57
this so good lesson there which is criminals aren't as tough as
00:51:02
you think they are. And when it comes to a gunfight
00:51:05
they don't want to be engaged in a gunfight, right?
00:51:11
If they know people are in the house and if they know people
00:51:13
are in the house with guns, most of the time, they will flee
00:51:18
because they don't want to get involved in a gunfight.
00:51:20
They have guns because they want to scare you into doing stuff.
00:51:22
But if you have guns and they have guns then you know they're
00:51:28
not they're not as tough Norco is the city next to mine Corona
00:51:32
California. I was just at a restaurant two
00:51:34
blocks down the day. They tried to rob that
00:51:36
convenience store Yeah, it's much more rural.
00:51:38
Somebody said it's like there's a bunch of horses in that area.
00:51:43
It's like the horse capital of California or something.
00:51:45
Norco. I think I was there once.
00:51:48
That's all I remember is all about is all about horses.
00:51:53
Like once you drove in a narco it's like all about horses.
00:51:56
The guy who got shot is in hospital, still in critical
00:51:59
condition. Oh yeah, I mean it was a shotgun
00:52:03
blast right to him. So at close range it was close
00:52:07
range. As far as I think, is a shotgun
00:52:09
blast looked like a shotgun blast.
00:52:13
Lots of chickens to it's just Farm country.
00:52:17
It is better to keep you owning guns a secret though.
00:52:19
Don't want to become a target for robberies.
00:52:22
Well, I'm talking about, like, I've heard from classes that in
00:52:28
terms of Home Defense, I've heard that if your kind of,
00:52:31
hunkered down in your bedroom and you know, someone's there,
00:52:36
don't go. After the person, don't go
00:52:38
hunting for. Don't like go through the house
00:52:39
and start hunting that person. And this is from the US.
00:52:43
You see a one of their videos? Don't go hunting, the person.
00:52:47
If you can hunker down in the bedroom and get your whole
00:52:49
family in one room and you have a gun, then, you know, you can
00:52:55
yell out the thing like, hey, we're home.
00:52:58
Just letting you know, like, we have firearms and we are ready
00:53:01
to defend ourselves if need be, and then just hide out in the
00:53:04
bedroom. Letting them know.
00:53:06
Like, if you come up here and you have a gun and we don't know
00:53:10
what you're doing, we will defend ourselves.
00:53:12
So that's what I mean by. If you let people know that you
00:53:15
have a gun, And I've heard people say that's, that's the
00:53:19
what I've heard. So When you watch all these
00:53:23
tactical videos, he's home defense videos.
00:53:25
People still ride their horses to church and have hitching
00:53:29
posts. That's awesome.
00:53:32
That's really cool. That's why.
00:53:34
Hello. There are some places in
00:53:36
California that are just. You look at these plays and you
00:53:38
got man like you would even think that is California
00:53:41
anymore. Like it's just out there, it's
00:53:43
out there in the desert. It's out there all by itself.
00:53:47
It's just a little rural community and you go, I can't
00:53:49
believe this is California, is this could be Arkansas for all.
00:53:52
I know you're making me want to go gun shop in its.
00:53:57
Once you go down the rabbit hole of gun shop and it doesn't start
00:54:00
with one gun, it becomes a whole thing.
00:54:02
Now all of a sudden you're going to go more gunshot him.
00:54:06
The old man must have had Buckshot, not birdshot.
00:54:08
Yeah, he I don't think he was pepper and I'm up.
00:54:10
I think he was ready to go. He had The Buckshot ready to go
00:54:14
and that's why that guy ran out of there with his arm all
00:54:17
mangled up. Not because of Buckshot or not
00:54:19
because of birdshot, he probably got him with buckshot.
00:54:26
So again like I said tomorrow night coming up on the the our
00:54:35
tomorrow night Natalie will be joining us for our pandemic
00:54:38
pandemonium episode where we're going to be talking about what
00:54:41
happened with covid. Why did The Masks what may push
00:54:45
back? Maybe a lot of pushback.
00:54:47
Stop the master being real implemented in LA and we're
00:54:51
gonna talk about monkey pox and why are they treating monkey pox
00:54:53
so much differently than they are.
00:54:55
Of it. Do you think if Elder were
00:54:58
Governor program laws would be on a better trajectory in
00:55:01
California? Listen.
00:55:05
I'm going to tell you this about Alder.
00:55:08
Her. He's a nice guy.
00:55:09
You know. I haven't met the guy, I
00:55:11
everything. I was, he's very smart.
00:55:13
I've never personally met the guy.
00:55:14
I'm sure someone can vouch for him and say he's a really nice
00:55:16
guy. I saw him speak live.
00:55:17
Great speaker electric had the whole room, Larry Elder, and my
00:55:23
mind, and my opinion, single-handedly tank the recall,
00:55:28
right? And I've said this before, once
00:55:32
he jumped in, I had a bad feeling that, that was basically
00:55:36
the end of it. That the recall was basically
00:55:39
over because he became the trumpian candidate that Gavin
00:55:45
Newsom was looking for and once he became the trumpian Canada,
00:55:48
that that Newsome was looking for.
00:55:49
He could run those eyes 24/7 three times, every commercial
00:55:53
break to the point where you were sick of it and people
00:55:55
showed up and said, I don't want to vote for Trump or any Trump
00:55:58
person. And so that was why he 160 over
00:56:04
60% of the vote not to recall. So I don't know who advised
00:56:08
Larry Elder to jump in the race when the polls were very close.
00:56:12
It was bordering on Within the margin of error of the people.
00:56:17
We were going to recall Gavin. Newsom that we're around that 48
00:56:21
50 percent, yes, we're going to recall him.
00:56:25
But once Larry all the jumps in the race, it all became for
00:56:27
nothing. And you know, everyone says oh
00:56:29
well California has had their shot and I blew it you know put
00:56:34
the wrong candidates out there happens but to answer your
00:56:36
question, do I think if Larry older was governor keep in my
00:56:41
Larry, Elder would not have been Governor that long this was not
00:56:44
even a year ago. Go.
00:56:45
He would be running again right now, as governor of California,
00:56:49
he could be running against Gavin.
00:56:50
Newsom again, just because you're a recall, doesn't mean
00:56:52
you can't run again. So Gavin Newsom could have been
00:56:55
recalled out of office for a little bit and a venusian could
00:56:57
have came back and ran again and likely would have won.
00:57:01
So we would have had a brief respite from Newsome for less
00:57:05
than a year. How much he could have got done.
00:57:09
I don't really know because a lot of these are On the laws, a
00:57:15
lot of like the unsafe handgun law or the roster is law.
00:57:22
So there's not much he could do as governor.
00:57:25
You would need a new legislature and we're coming up on the out
00:57:29
here. I don't want to get into the
00:57:30
whole diatribe that I always say which is you have to flip the
00:57:33
legislature. We have to even out the
00:57:35
legislature if we want these crazy bills to stop.
00:57:38
If we want these crazy bills like the handgun roster or safe
00:57:41
injection sites to stop you. We Have to even out the the
00:57:46
legislature we have to make it harder for them to pass these
00:57:49
crazy bills. So yeah, it's I don't think you
00:57:55
would have made a lick of difference to be completely
00:57:57
honest. I don't know what he would have
00:57:58
done in a year. He may have just blown the lid
00:58:03
on a lot of things and say, hey look, I assume as I came into
00:58:06
being Governor, I found this this and this and maybe people
00:58:09
would have kind of maybe that would have been the greatest
00:58:12
thing he could have done because he's a great speaker.
00:58:14
Each person he could have went in and found everything that was
00:58:17
wrong. That's going on Sacramento and
00:58:18
say, hey this is what's wrong and we need to fix this.
00:58:25
Shallenberger need to win anyone.
00:58:27
That smell like Trump? Yeah, shallenberger.
00:58:29
I think would have given Newsome a good run for his money because
00:58:34
he's an independent and because he was a little bit more Center
00:58:38
or left leaning Center It would have given new some little bit
00:58:42
more. I think they were scared of
00:58:44
shellenberger, running for governor, and they were scared
00:58:47
of him being in the primary, which is, again, once the
00:58:50
Republicans had their eyes set on Brian Dolly.
00:58:54
And once they nominated, Brian Dolly, that's why they pushed
00:58:58
Brian Dolly. You know, there is there is a
00:59:02
gameplay to the other side. Pushing the candidate that you
00:59:06
want to see in the general. This happens a lot where One
00:59:10
side will say, oh you're the weaker Democrat that I want to
00:59:14
face off in the general. So my campaign is going to
00:59:18
expend money and get you to run against me in the general,
00:59:21
because I'll prop you up, and people will vote for you, and
00:59:25
that's exactly what they did. They propped up Brian Dolly and
00:59:27
look where he is. Now, he's running against
00:59:28
Newsom, he'll get slaughtered in the general, and won't even be a
00:59:31
close race, probably be like, 60, 30.
00:59:33
And that's basically, it is Newsome Wilcos to a re-election.
00:59:38
I haven't heard anything from Brian Dolly were several months
00:59:41
away from. I like the a new governor and
00:59:44
you think again Brian dolly is doing the same exact thing that
00:59:49
John Cox did, which is John Cox, got the nomination, talked a big
00:59:53
game and disappeared And that was it.
00:59:58
We we never heard from John Cox. After that, we haven't heard
01:00:02
from Brian Dolly. Since the convention has anyone
01:00:04
heard from? Brian Dolly?
01:00:06
You know, you think if you're fighting for the state and you
01:00:08
think it's in such Dire Straits and you're running for governor,
01:00:12
you might want to be out there a little bit more.
01:00:14
I understand. He's also state, senator and
01:00:15
things are going on, but that was the, that was a workload.
01:00:19
You picked up when you want to run for governor and be state
01:00:22
senator. So right now, We haven't heard
01:00:26
anything from them and you know, it's likely, it's he maybe he
01:00:29
knows the writing's on the wall. Why even worry about it?
01:00:32
It's like an honorary distinction at this point where
01:00:34
he can say, oh I was a candidate for governor of California was
01:00:37
the Republican candidate and now he can be on Fox News and and
01:00:42
stuff like that. And I haven't seen anything.
01:00:46
Maybe I'm Wrong. Maybe.
01:00:47
I just don't follow the right things.
01:00:49
I can't give him my support because he worked for Soros.
01:00:51
I know he doesn't currently work for my chance Gabe.
01:00:53
And that, that he talked about that, I think he talked about
01:00:57
that Rogan where he talked about how he saw everything that was
01:01:00
wrong with Soros and got out of it.
01:01:03
Dolly seems nice but he comes off as a rhino.
01:01:05
Noodles will eat him alive in November.
01:01:07
Oh yeah. Yes.
01:01:08
It's not going to be even close. They could of course needed guy,
01:01:12
right? Yeah.
01:01:12
He could have ended the state emergency.
01:01:14
If Elder got in, he could have ended the emergency but the
01:01:20
legislature can also do it as well.
01:01:22
So we're now it's only the governor only.
01:01:26
The governor can declare a state of emergency, but the
01:01:28
legislature can end it at a certain point.
01:01:30
They could pass a resolution which they haven't done.
01:01:32
So alright, so coming up on the our thanks everyone for the
01:01:37
topics, thanks for tuning in as always tomorrow night, 8 p.m.
01:01:41
we're going to do the podcast. We're going to do the pandemic
01:01:44
pandemonium. We're going to talk about
01:01:45
everything with covid. Why?
01:01:47
All of a sudden it's a Resurgence why?
01:01:49
I think they learn their lesson and they got pressured into kind
01:01:52
of backing off covid. And why monkey pox is the new
01:01:54
thing. And what's the difference?
01:01:55
Why are we treating monkeypox? A little bit more differently
01:01:57
than we are treating covid and why is everyone getting treated
01:02:01
differently and And it's just a weird situation, when a very
01:02:04
hypocritical situation that we're going to talk about.
01:02:08
With that said, thanks for people who checked out the merch
01:02:10
